Tony Zhou(II)
- Actor
Tony Zhou is a quirky, energetic artist with a rapidly growing list of credits in both drama and comedy, he is known for characters that are coming-of-age, eccentric, boyish and unhinged.
He debuted as a recurring cast member in TVNZ's teen comedy-drama series The Eggplant (2020). He went on to lead roles in highly regarded short films made by emerging artists, including Cherry in John M. Dichi's Cherry (2022) (a 2022 Indie Short Fest Honourable Mention), Micah in Cameron Smith's The Creature (2023) and Mike in Josh Pottinger's Dogmeat (2023).
He will soon appear as The Twink in the upcoming horror short Illuminati Castrati (2024) by Ani White and Seth in Entertainment by frequent collaborator Tyler Hatt.
Tony's passion for acting started really early in life. He produced and directed his first short film Once Upon a Time in Aotearoa (2021) at high school, and plans to continue taking his creative energies behind the camera. He is almost bilingual in English and Mandarin.
