Leverage: Redemption will be back for a third season on a new platform. Amazon MGM Studios has renewed the popular heist-drama series, whose first two seasons streamed on Freevee, and is moving to Prime Video for Season 3. The third season will premiere on Prime Video next year in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Produced by Electric Entertainment, Leverage: Redemption follows a Robin Hood-esque team of criminals as they stage elaborate cons against corrupt and powerful individuals on behalf of clients who have been wronged. It stars Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf, Aldis Hodge, Noah Wyle, and Aleyse Shannon.
“Fans have been devoted to Leverage: Redemption since the series premiered on Freevee,” says Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD; unscripted and targeted programming, Amazon MGM Studios. “Every season has showcased the fun dynamic between our cast combined with the triumphant, David vs. Goliath stories envisioned by our writers.

“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 3, but will be changing platforms. The first two seasons aired on Amazon’s Freevee, but Season 3 will debut on sister streamer Prime Video in 2024 instead.
The move is significant, as “Leverage: Redemption,” a revival of the TNT series “Leverage,” was one of the major scripted titles available on Freevee. The show was ordered to series in 2020, when Freevee was still branded as IMDb TV. Freevee’s biggest scripted series at present is “Bosch: Legacy,” while a spinoff of that show was recently ordered at Prime Video as well.
The first two seasons of “Leverage: Redemption” are currently available to stream on Freevee, as is “Leverage” via Electric Entertainment’s Fast Channel and on-demand.

“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 2 at IMDb TV.
“Bringing back these characters has been a dream come true, and working with such incredible people as the team at IMDb TV has been an absolute pleasure,” said Electric Entertainment’s Dean Devlin, co-showrunner and executive producer of the series. “So excited we get to do it all over again.”
In the followup to the original show, the rich and powerful take what they want, and the Leverage team has reunited to take them down. Sophie Devereaux (The Grifter), Parker (The Thief), Eliot Spencer (The Hitter), and Alec Hardison (The Hacker) watched the world change over the last eight years. It had become easier—and sometimes even legal—for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who got in their way. “Leverage” returned on Friday in the form of the eight-episode revival, “Leverage: Redemption,” on the streaming service IMDb TV. But Timothy Hutton, whose character Nate Ford served as the center of the original TNT series, does not appear on screen.
“Leverage,” which ran for five seasons on TNT between 2008 and 2012, starred Hutton as a former insurance investigator who becomes the leader of the Robin Hood-esque gang of criminals who steal from the corrupt and powerful to avenge their victims. The original series ended with Nate (Hutton) and his new fiancée Sophie (Gina Bellman) walking away from the criminal life for good, handing the keys to their organization over to the rest of the crew.
The decision to exclude Hutton from the revival came after the Oscar-winning actor was accused of rape last year by former child actress Sera Johnston. Johnston told Buzzfeed that Hutton and a friend raped her at...

IMDb TV announced Monday the new original series Leverage: Redemption will premiere Friday, July 9, exclusively on IMDb TV, Amazon's premium free streaming service.
The crime drama will launch with eight new episodes this summer, followed by an additional eight episodes in the fall, meaning that we're getting a 16-episode first season. Not too shabby, right?
In this new iteration and new world, the Leverage crew have watched as the rich and powerful continue to take what they want without consequence.
Grifter Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), thief Parker (Beth Riesgraf), hitter Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), and hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge) have watched the world change over the last eight years.

Independent production companies continue to lead the way back into production amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Leverage, a new incarnation of the 2008 crime drama for IMDb TV, is entering its second week of filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. The series is produced by Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment. It has joined fellow indie productions, Tyler Perry Studios’ Sistas and The Oval, which recently finished their shoots, and Tom Werner’s Werner Entertainment’s The Conners, which just started production.
As documented in detail on social media by Devlin and the Leverage cast, the series’ in-person table read was on Aug. 4, with actors sitting 6 feet apart and wearing face shields. Cameras started rolling on Aug. 10, and the first week of shooting went well, sources said.
Like with Perry’s casts, the Leverage actors flew in on a private jet a couple days before the table read for a round of testing.

Noah Wyle knows “The Librarians” is one of television’s most unique shows— especially on TNT.
The show, which airs its season finale this Sunday, isn’t a dark drama like the network’s latest original series, “Animal Kingdom” and “Good Behavior.” But Wyle, who executive produces the show, appeared in seven episodes this season, directed two and even wrote one, believes “The Librarians” serves a purpose, as one of the few shows on TV crafted to serve as true family programming.
“There’s certain shows that have a big audience but don’t necessarily fit the edgier brand that I think TNT is trying to be. Yet, they bring an audience that’s a pretty good demographic,” he said to IndieWire. “They have been supportive, they have been marketing the show well this year, and the numbers speak to that. I’m hoping that they figure out that it’s not an either/or.

While retrieving this week's MacGuffin, Cassandra and Jake encountered the titular Reunion of Evil in The Librarians Season 3 Episode 3. The attendees were, of course, Norse Frost Giants, much to the dismay of our heroes.
Naturally, this resulted in all sorts of hilarity and shenanigans as the two Librarians tried to blend in with this less-than-savory crowd.
"And the Reunion of Evil" was directed by none other than Noah Wyle (Flynn Carsen) himself, and he acquitted himself quite well behind the camera with this episode.
The real measure of any work — whether literature or a movie or an episode of television — is whether or not it entertains the viewers. And I confess to having a lot of fun with "And the Reunion of Evil." Was the premise silly? Sure. But I felt that they made it work.

Bernie Su and Pemberley Digital’s The Lizzie Bennet Diaries will live on, but this time in another book. Now that Lizzie and Jane are out of the house, Lydia (played by Mary Kate Wiles in the web series) must take charge of her own future after being humiliated online by her ex-boyfriend. The youngest Bennet sister has matured, is working to finish her college degree, and is learning how to become an adult by figuring out who she can (and can’t) trust.

16 months after the final episode of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, creator Bernie Su has adapted his literary web series into a book. Su and collaborator Kate Rorick have authored The Secret Diary Of Lizzie Bennet, a novel based off of Pemberley Digital's YouTube adaptation of Pride And Prejudice. The Secret Diary Of Lizzie Bennet was first announced in January, when it was given a July 1st release date. Instead, it arrived a week before that date, hitting shelves just in time for VidCon. To promote the release, the Lizzie Bennet team returned to the web series' main channel for a pair of bonus vlogs starring lead actress Ashley Clements. The goal of The Secret Diary is to appeal to both diehard Lizzie Bennet fans and newcomers who have not yet fallen in love with the clever Austen adaptation. The novel satisfies the latter group by retelling many major plot points from the web series,...

It has been almost a year since The Lizzie Bennet Diaries released its final installment, but interest in the vlog-style retelling of Pride and Prejudice is still high. In order to appease the series' vociferous fans, Lbd creator Bernie Su has teamed up with writer Kate Rorick and publisher Touchstone for The Secret Diary Of Lizzie Bennet, a companion novel to the Emmy-winning web series. The Secret Diary will be released on July 1st, 2014, and will feature a journal-style format similar to that of the web series it accompanies. Su and Rorick (who served as a consulting producer on Lbd) will use the book as a canvas for revealing more information about Lizzie Bennet and her family. "The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet provides more character introspection as only a book can," explains the book's publisher, "with revelatory details about the Bennet household, including Lizzie’s special relationship with her father,...
