The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Cover Art Reveals The Movie's Lead Characters
When the news broke during last year's San Diego Comic-Con that the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book was being turned into a three-part animated movie, DC fans rejoiced.
The CW previously adapted the story for the Arrowverse, but this version had the opportunity to bring together countless animated characters from across the Dcau in an ambitious retelling of the story. Unfortunately, the opening two chapters have been mostly disappointing.
There's still a chance it will end on a high note, of course, and a first look at Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three's cover art has now found its way online (via Toonado.com).
Recreating the iconic shot of Superman holding the downed Supergirl, we also see Mister Terrific, Batman, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Hourman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. Looming in the background is the massive Anti-Monitor.
While a Watchmen movie is still expected to be released later this year,...

Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Teaser Features Kevin Conroy's Batman And Mark Hamill's Joker
When we first learned that Warner Bros. Animation was developing a three-part Crisis on Infinite Earths movie, the response from fans was largely positive.
While the Tomorrowverse has been a little hit-or-miss, it's also delivered a lot of very good movies. Needless to say, the prospect of mixing DC characters from that world with so many other animated franchises was undeniably exciting.
Unfortunately, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One and Part Two proved to be mostly underwhelming affairs, with the only noteworthy cameo being Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond in the second instalment. As exciting as that may sound, he had no more than a couple of lines in the movie and failed to make much of an impact.
There may, however, be a chance the final instalment redeems itself.

Vera Drew’s debut feature The People’s Joker evades all easy descriptions. It’s a trans coming-of-age film constructed with deep knowledge and affection for DC comics (and their many film adaptations) that also takes aim at the male-dominated comedy community and the mechanisms that determine stardom. Combining comedy, action, drama and an impressive number of different animation styles, The People’s Joker is a self-conscious, intentional cult film, crafted with genuine love for everything in the margins. And it tells a story everyone can relate to, about a kid growing up and trying to find happiness and success in a dark, troubled world. And in this world, Batman is the villain. He rules Gotham with an army of drones, while using his power and influence to control every aspect of media and culture — even comedy.
But not for long. Joker (Drew) arrives in Gotham with one purpose: to become a...

Suicide Squad is about a group of anti-heroes tasked with doing the government’s dirty work. DC has done a lot to boost the team’s popularity in other media, including comics, films, television series, and now games. Rocksteady’s experience with the superhero genre made it the perfect choice to develop a live-service game, and plans for Season 6 and beyond look promising.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Will Feature More Villains
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had a mixed reception due to the live-action structure and ridiculous story.
Leaks are bound to happen, and one leaker has revealed a handful of characters, including Gorilla Grodd, are making their way into the game in future updates.
The other playable characters I've heard were on the table for season 6 and beyond are:
Killer Croc
Katana
Poison Ivy
Black Manta

We all know that The Penguin and Mr. Freeze appeared together at this year’s Oscars ceremony and that they faced their former nemesis, Batman, who challenged them to come at him. A confrontation was avoided, and this funny performance became one of the night’s best moments. However, it seems that some of those involved want more! Danny DeVito, who played Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, in Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman Returns, recently said that he would like to go back to his role and tackle Batman once again, but this time alongside Mr. Freeze, who was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, DeVito’s Oscars co-presenter.
Schwarzenegger appeared as Mr. Freeze in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, where he fought against Batman alongside Poison Ivy and Bane. The irony of this situation is that while DeVito really did fight Michael Keaton’s Batman in Burton’s movie,...

Popular leaker Miller Ross has once again posted a series of leaks on X, and this time they’re all related to WB Games’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The highly anticipated title didn’t get the intended reception, as it dished out a bland storyline. The idea to make it yet another live-service title was considered a shot in the foot by Rocksteady as the looter-shooter failed to impress fans.
Season 1 introduced an Elseworlds version of the Joker to save the game which worked to an extent. Those hoping for better content and characters in the upcoming seasons can now get a decent idea about what to expect from the next four seasons, thanks to a popular leaker.

The character of Harley Quinn — a harlequin-clad moll for the Joker — first appeared on "Batman: The Animated Series" in the 1992 episode "Joker's Favor." She was played by voice actress Arleen Sorkin, who gave the character a Brooklyn-adjacent "bubblehead" voice that immediately struck viewers and quickly earned the character fans. Harley Quinn was very similar in look and presentation to a character named Prank (Zoey Clark), the kooky moll of the Trickster on the 1990 series "The Flash." Her origin story was simple: Dr. Harleen Quinzel served as the Joker's psychiatrist, and he had such a powerful personality, that she abandoned ordinary life to become his supervillainess girlfriend.
Harley would appear in only nine episodes of "Batman: Tas," but she eventually began appearing in DC Comics. In recent years, Harley has become arguably a more popular character than the Joker and has formed a life of her own, breaking up with the...

After a healthy run of comedy and genre work, Karen Gillan felt it was time for a dramatic change.
Shortly before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s whirlwind press tour, Gillan returned to Australia where she shot Thor: Love and Thunder a couple years earlier, and joined the cast of Adam Cooper’s Sleeping Dogs, led by Russell Crowe. The twisty psychological crime drama follows Crowe’s retired homicide detective Roy Freeman, as his recovery from an experimental Alzheimer’s procedure prompts him to re-approach a murder case from a decade earlier. Gillan plays the enigmatic Laura Baines, the right-hand researcher to Marton Csokas’ Dr. Joseph Wieder and his memory reconsolidation therapy thesis.

If there’s ever been a classic horror film that doesn’t need a sequel, it’s Carrie. Stephen King’s debut novel was masterfully adapted into a 1976 film by Brian De Palma and quickly became a runaway hit. In fact it’s likely because of the film’s success that the prolific author so quickly became a household name. Published in 1974, the semi-epistolary novel follows Carrie White, a high school senior who’s spent her life taking abuse from her ultra-religious mother and savage classmates. Finally pushed too far, Carrie unleashes her telekinetic power with a fiery vengeance that lays waste to the cruel and kind alike. De Palma faithfully adapted King’s original novel to create a terrifying exploration of long-term abuse and self-defense gone terribly wrong. The image of Carrie (Sissy Spacek) covered in blood as she walks through a burning prom has become an indelible image...

Keeping up with the latest Lego sets can be difficult. Not only are these playsets expensive, but every month, there's something new that beckons me to piece together these little plastic bricks to create a new display piece for my shelf. Whether it's the Ornithopter vehicle from "Dune" or the X-Men's signature jet from the animated series. This month, it's the Dark Knight who will be snatching money from my bank account in the name of Lego.

Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice continues to spark heated discussions, remaining a topic of controversy even eight years after its premiere in 2016. The film introduced Ben Affleck as Batman in the DC Extended Universe (Dceu), pitting him against Henry Cavill’s Superman. Despite its place within the larger narrative, Batman v Superman remains one of the most divisive films in DC’s cinematic history.
Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Interestingly, the concept of conflict between these two iconic heroes isn’t entirely new to the DC universe. In fact, a particularly controversial comic book story, Batman #42, depicts Superman actually killing Batman. While they’ve clashed numerous times in the comics, instances of Superman directly causing Batman’s death are rare. One such instance involved the villain Poison Ivy manipulating Superman, leading him to fatally punch Batman in a fit of rage. However, even in this instance,...

Arguably the best Batman and Joker combo in history is getting back together one last time, and the reunion comes as a pretty sizable surprise. Mark Hamill will once again reprise his role as The Joker alongside the late Kevin Conroy's Batman. Conroy voiced the Caped Crusader for decades, from "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early '90s through Conroy's much-too-early death in 2022. We knew Conroy's voice would be used as Batman once again, and now it has been confirmed that Hamill will be reuniting with his former co-star in one of Conroy's final posthumous performances.
According to IGN, Hamill's Joker and Conroy's Batman are both set to appear in the upcoming "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths -- Part Three." A new Batman animated film is in the works that introduces a new version of the caped crusader. The film, Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios a.k.a The Clash of the Empires, will feature an Aztec Batman who becomes the vigilante after his father dies during a Spanish inquisition. The film will be produced by WB Animation and DC.
Aztec Batman gives a cultural revamp to the characters that appear in the DC comics, taking popular characters such as the Joker and Harvey Dent and adapting them to suit the Aztec culture. While many are excited about this new take on the cape crusader, some fans seem to be taking issue with the change in the character’s original design and characteristics.

[This interview contains major spoilers for Merry Little Batman.]
DC Studios’ Merry Little Batman sees Bruce Wayne in an unusual turn: donning his dad hat during the holidays.
The Warner Bros. Animation film follows the relationship of Bruce and his son, Damian, an 8-year-old desperate to be just like his crime-fighting father. The only problem — beyond him being a literal child — is that crime no longer exists in Gotham. Batman decided to clean up the streets for good to give Damian a shot at the safe, crime-free childhood Bruce didn’t have.
But when his overprotective father is called to save the day in Nova Scotia on Christmas Eve and becomes stranded in a trap laid by Mr. Freeze, Damian is left home alone with no one to help him as two criminals break in. The hapless burglars manage to make off with his newly gifted utility belt, leading Damian on a chase through Gotham’s...

Fatherhood apparently has a way of slowing you down. Take Batman, for instance. He’s clearly not at his fittest in this new Amazon Prime animated film, in which he looks more like a burly lumberjack than a superhero, wearing dad jeans, a flannel shirt and a heavy beard. Fortunately, he’s not the hero tasked with saving Gotham City yet again in the Yuletide-set Merry Little Batman. That would be Damian, his eight-year-old son, who clearly takes after his old man when it comes to fighting supervillains.
Damian (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) displays the typical energy of a pre-adolescent, chasing his cat around the expansive confines of Wayne Manor as if they were in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. His father Bruce (Luke Wilson) is essentially retired, having gotten rid of all crime in Gotham City. But he’s still on call, meaning that when he gets a message...

The character of The Mandarin first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1964, created by Don Heck and Marvel bigwig Stan Lee. In John Coates' 2014 book "Don Heck: A Work of Art," Heck admitted that the Mandarin was more Lee's idea, as he wanted an old-fashioned Fu Manchu-like villain to face off against Iron Man, one of the company's B-list characters. A lot of the cliches and stereotypes embodied by Dr. Fu-Manchu (a villain character from a 1913 pulp novel by Sax Rohmer) transferred directly into the Mandarin. The Mandarin is a supervillain from China and was initially drawn as a racist caricature.
In the original comics, the Mandarin possessed 10 magical rings, salvaged from a crashed alien spaceship. He was one of Iron Man's earliest nemeses. The character has stubbornly remained in the background of Marvel comics for decades.

Harley Quinn isn't done having fun yet: the animated Max supervillain series has just been renewed for season 5. The show's fourth season concluded in September with an episode dedicated to original Harley voice actor Arleen Sorkin, in addition to the formation of the Gotham City Sirens within the DC series' universe. Now, a fifth season has been formally announced via press release.
Max's Executive VP of Original Comedy and Adult Animation Suzanna Makos shared a statement about the renewal, saying, "The talented 'Harley Quinn' team has once again succeeded in delivering a season that builds on everything that has come before while still feeling fresh and inventive." Makos also seemed to hint that season 5 might already be in the production process, as she concluded, "We couldn't be more excited for the fans to see what they've accomplished in season 5."

More Harlivy is on the way.
Max has renewed raunchy, violent animated series “Harley Quinn” for Season 5, just a couple months after Season 4 finished its run. The animated DC show, starring Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn and Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, has proven to be a hit for Max, and it even has its own spinoff, “Kite Man: Hell Yeah,” coming in 2024.
“‘Harley Quinn’ has raised the comedic crowbar with every new season. We’re excited to continue this partnership with Max and take our biggest swing yet for Season 5,” said Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at Warner Bros. Animation, in a statement.
In Season 4, Harley began working with the Bat-Family, including Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl, while Ivy assumed her new role as the CEO of the Legion of Doom. As Harley started to embrace her more heroic endeavors, she and Ivy butted heads in their relationship.

Let's kick some ice!
If there's one thing that Batman fans can agree on, it's likely that "Batman & Robin" is easily the worst Batman movie ever made. It's cheesy, nonsensical, and for some reason, it just doesn't work as well as Joel Schumacher's previous campy Dark Knight adventure, "Batman Forever." Even Bruce Wayne himself, George Clooney, can't help but mock his turn as Gotham's superhero.
However, there is something to be said about "Batman & Robin" basically being so bad that you can't help but enjoy how much of a disaster it is. The absolutely awful version of Bane, Arnold Schwarzenegger's terrible ice puns as Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson competing over who gets to fertilize Poison Ivy's flowers -- there's something for everyone to point and laugh at.
At the same time, you can't deny that every single one of the chief characters...

Todd McFarlane has unveiled the upcoming figures based around the much-maligned Batman & Robin, which brought the franchise back to camp territory in a big way. And while the movie itself may not have the devoted fanbase of, say, any of the others, the figures themselves do kick some ice!
In a recent Instagram video, Todd McFarlane showed off the Batman & Robin figures of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Poison Ivy. Already in boxes and marked as “production pieces”, the figures offer pretty darn good likenesses of the actors: “big, bad George Clooney” (McFarlane’s words), Chris O’Donnell, Alicia Silverstone, and Uma Thurman. McFarlane also praised the details in the outfits themselves, particularly ogling Poison Ivy’s dry brush and makeup details. He did, however, stop short of pointing out the Bat-nipples, but don’t worry, they are indeed present.

The Scarecrow, aka Dr. Jonathan Crane, is my favorite Batman villain. I've always been drawn to his eponymous motif, his horror-twinged stories, and how he contests Batman for the title "The Master of Fear." Hence, though "Batman: The Animated Series" holds a special place in my heart, I've always been disappointed that Scarecrow wasn't an A-list player.
Crane is the antagonist in only three episodes and in each one is mostly an obstacle for Batman to develop against. In his villainous debut, "Nothing to Fear," Batman is dosed with Scarecrow's Fear Toxin and haunted by an apparition of his father, leading to the Dark Knight's most famous line. In "Dreams in Darkness," the Fear Toxin drives Batman temporarily insane and he's locked in Arkham Asylum. He must escape both his physical and mental prison before Scarecrow can poison Gotham City.

The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. The film, directed by Matt Reeves, will introduce a new version of Gotham City and its rogues gallery, featuring villains like Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman. But what about the sequel?
According to some sources, The Batman 2, which is set to be released on October 3, 20251, will feature another iconic Batman foe: Hush. Hush is the childhood best friend of Bruce Wayne, who grew up to become a brilliant and wealthy neurosurgeon named Thomas Elliot. DC Animated Universe just got a new project on the horizon. After the success story of ‘Harley Quinn‘ series, we just got a new teaser for a spin-off series, ‘Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!,’ that will feature Kite-Man after his tenure within the original series. This is exciting news for the fans of the DC Universe since the character “stole” the show during his tenure in ‘Harley Quinn’ series and his appearance in the DC Rebirth arc in the comics, where he became a fan-favorite.
It seems that James Gunn and Peter Safran are working really hard to upgrade the quality of content within the DC Universe, and it’s good to see they are listening to fans and their reactions to the characters. ‘Harley Quinn’ just ended its fourth season, and recently, we got the confirmation that the fifth season is in development, meaning that we will have two comedy DC...

Batman's origin story is a tale as old as comic book time.
A dark and depressing alley. The gunshots. The falling pearls from a broken necklace. A need to take down criminals and a fascination with bats.
Bruce Wayne's journey to become Gotham City's protector has been everywhere, from film to gaming to TV. But it was the series on Fox that has a special place in our hearts: Gotham.
Gotham ran for five seasons from 2014 to 2019. The show, which you can watch online via TV Fanatic, followed many iconic characters in Batman lore years before Bruce put on the mask.
You got the seriousness of The Dark Knight mixed in with some fun comic book campiness. It was a best of both worlds that left passionate Batman fans divided over which tone they wanted.
The great thing about Gotham is that it fully embraced the antics of Gotham City.

Harley Quinn just revealed who killed Nightwing—and it’s not who anyone expected.
Earlier in Harley Quinn Season 4, which is already packed with characters, the animated series took a bold swing: Dick Grayson was killed. Not only that, but no one knows who did it.
One of the prime suspects was Poison Ivy since she does run the Legion of Doom. In a similar vein, it could have been any one of her subordinates as well. Another possible murderer would be the Joker himself, but he seems to have been ruled out already.

DC delivered a lot of live-action and animated content in the last few years. Although the studio has been struggling with the live-action content amid the imminent end of DC Extended Universe, DC never fails to deliver us some animation every year. Apart from the animated movies such as ‘Legion of Super-Heroes,’ ‘Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham,’ and ‘Justice League: Warworld,’ we also watched the ‘Harley Quinn,’ series, which spawned the ‘Valentine’s Day Special’ and its fourth season this year.
Harley Quinn animated series premiered in November 2019 on the former DC Universe streaming service, followed by the second season only two months after the first one ended. After the DC Universe was shut down as a streaming service, the series was moved to HBOMax, which was rebranded to simply Max in May this year. Despite all these changes between the streaming services, the ‘Harley Quinn’ animated series survived all those changes,...
