In Mark Wahlberg’s latest inspirational drama, Arthur the King, Wahlberg’s character, Michael Light, finds himself face-to-face with the end of his career in adventure racing, an ultra-niche sport that involves running, biking, climbing, and kayaking across rough terrain, and hundreds of miles across multiple days. Considered by those in the know the best adventure racer never to win a world title (or so an offscreen announcer conveniently informs the audience), Light’s career as an athlete seems to have reached a natural end on a muddy, marshy field in the film’s opening moments. Rather than admit that Father Time has, once again, won, Light refuses to entertain, let alone accept, the end of his athletic career and embrace a life that he perceives as ordinary and common....

Don Lemon is taking some time to better himself.
According to TMZ, the CNN anchor has pulled out of an upcoming Black History Month event he was set to moderate in New York on Tuesday night.

The move backing out of the “Agents of Change” panel comes as Lemon has faced sharp criticism over sexist comments he made during a discussion on “CNN This Morning” about Republican U.S. presidential candidate Nikki Haley.
Lemon had said that Haley, at 51-years-old, was not “in her prime,” explaining that he considered a woman to be in her prime “in her 20s, 30s and maybe her 40s.”
When pressed on the comments during the conversation by co-host Poppy Harlow, Lemon responded, “Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just saying what the facts are.”

It’s fitting that Johnny Cash’s life became a major Hollywood movie. The country music superstar found success after enduring tragedy (which became a major inspiration in his life), addiction, and forbidden love. It’s a reason his songs resonate with so many people. Sun Records founder Sam Phillips gave Cash his big break in the music business. There wouldn’t be a Man in Black otherwise, but Cash had mixed feelings about Phillips and his business practices, and he was right to see the good and bad.

"Treehouse of Horror Xxxiii," aired on October 30, 2022, turned "The Simpsons" from animation into anime. In the episode's 2nd segment, "Death Tome," Lisa finds a book with the power over life and death, using it to take her environmental activism to new, homicidal levels. If you couldn't tell, the segment is a parody of "Death Note." The episode even renders Springfield and its denizens in anime style, with art supplied by South Korean studio Dr Movie, animators of "Death Note" itself.
"Death Note" is one of those go-to anime that even the anime averse have probably heard of. This makes it prime for parody by something as American mainstream as "The Simpsons." In fact, "Death Tome" is not even the first "Treehouse of Horror" parody of the series. However, the first pastiche happened not in "The Simpsons" itself, but a tie-in comic.

Darryl Hall and John Oates were fresh-off-the-plane clueless. It was fall 1971 and they’d come to California seeking the same thing as everyone else who comes to California — for them, it just manifested as a record contract. All they had were their instruments, songs, and a contact at the publishing company Chappell Music. They didn’t even know you needed a car to get around Los Angeles.
“We were kind of stuck,” Oates tells Rolling Stone, remembering how they drifted from hotel to bar to greasy spoon to label lunches that went nowhere.
