Paramount Pictures is going full steam with its Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise by attaching some of Hollywood’s hottest stars to voice iconic characters from the expanding Sega series. It broke the internet when Idris Elba said he was voicing Knuckles the Echidna for Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I could hear the rapturous screams from my office in Canada as fans of the Blue Blur rejoiced. Now, Paramount is rekindling the fire by bringing Keanu Reeves into the fold as Shadow the Hedgehog for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Speaking about Reeves joining the cast, Idris Elba believes it was his destiny to work alongside the John Wick actor, and he couldn’t be happier about his good fortune.
“I’m a big fan of his,” Elba said about Keanu Reeves in an interview with IGN. “I’ve heard that he’s a fan of mine, and we are destined to make something together.

Remember how the live-action version of Sonic the Hedgehog had a rough start? The fans were horrified by the leaked design of the character, as Paramount initially opted for a more original design, which was panned by fans, so they decided to listen to them and simply keep the original design, and this turned out to be the best decision they made. The first movie was a massive hit, and so was the sequel, so it was no surprise that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was quickly announced, and we can confirm that the movie is set for a December 20, 2024 theatrical release.
And while we’ve had several updates related to the movie, including Jim Carrey’s confirmed return as Dr. Robotnik, today is a big day as the main voice cast of the movie has finally been confirmed, all of that amidst flooding rumors that Keanu Reeves will be voicing Shadow,...

We’ve known that Shadow the Hedgehog would be appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for some time but didn’t know who would be voicing the character… until now. First reported by John Campea and confirmed by THR, Shadow the Hedgehog will be voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves.
The audience at CinemaCon got a glimpse of Shadow during Paramount’s panel, during which a first-look trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was screened. The character first appeared in Sonic Adventure 2 as a dark version of Sonic who does whatever it takes to achieve his goals. The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has included some unexpected voice actors, such as Idris Elba as Knuckles, so it should be fun to see what Keanu Reeves does with Shadow.

After racing toward the finish line at top speed, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler is wrapping up production on the Blue Blur’s latest adventure! Fowler announced the film’s production wrap via Twitter/X with a new photo from the set. In the image, Fowler holds a giant clapper with drawings of the threequel’s primary animated cast, including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow. The latest addition to the cast, Shadow, takes the spotlight on the clapper, while Tails and Knuckles give the anti-hero the stink eye. Meanwhile, Sonic appears unbothered by Shadow’s presence, shrugging off the new player’s prominence. It is indisputable that the Netflix series Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones on Netflix, struggled to garner favorable reviews. Scott Buck’s series has a 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, with a 71% favorability rating, it somehow garnered slightly higher respect from the review aggregator’s audience.
Its cancellation in 2018 was a further letdown. Since then, fans of the character have expressed a keen interest in seeing Jones reprise his role as Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite years after the show and its lackluster reception, there is a growing call for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to give Jones “another chance” to play the iconic martial arts hero on the big screen.

In January, ‘Echo’ came out, marking some big moments in the MCU. It was the first show under Marvel Spotlight and it officially added ‘The Defenders’ Saga to the MCU timeline, settling the debate about Netflix’s Marvel Shows being canon.
After its release, rumors swirled about some shows getting revived, characters recast, and joining other projects. Fans consistently pushed for a ‘Jessica Jones’ revival. Turns out, they’re not alone. Krysten Ritter said she’d love to come back, and now David Tennant, who played the villain Zebediah Kilgrave, expressed interest in returning to the project this year.

The members of the audience who loved Jessica Jones during its successful run in the past might also remember the character of The Purple Man, a.k.a Kilgrave, played expertly by actor David Tennant. In fact, for many of the fans of the show, this antagonist may have been one of the most memorable parts of the series.

And despite the character being taken out of the equation in the series for good, the actor has time and time again expressed his desire to return to his role in the MCU. Sega and Paramount have made a Sonic The Hedgehog spin-off television series called Knuckles, here’s the trailer.
Sonic The Hedgehog is among the top selling video game franchises of all time. Launching on the Sega Mega Drive in 1991, the blue Hedgehog with super speed has graced countless video games, and after a failed attempt to make an animated film in the 1990s, he finally made a very successful leap to the big screen in 2020. Voiced by Ben Schwartz, it saw him go up against his arch nemesis Dr. Robotnik, played with maniacal relish by Jim Carrey. After being teased at the end of the first film, the 2022 sequel introduced Tails and Knuckles, voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Idris Elba.

Krysten Ritter will join Jim Carrey and several other humans in the animated videogame tie-in sequel, Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
Work on Sonic The Hedgehog 3 – the sequel to 2022’s Sonic The Hedgehog 2, which is in turn a sequel to 2020’s surprise hit Sonic The Hedgehog – continues apace. Over the weekend, the videogame tie-in got a logo reveal as well as the not-entirely-surprising news that Jim Carrey is to reprise his role as Dr Robotnik.
The animated Sega sequel has recently had some more familiar actor names added to its cast, though, with IGN reporting that Krysten Ritter, Alyla Browne, James Wolk, Sofia Pernas, Cristo Fernandez and Jorma Taccone have all joined the line-up.
Ritter is perhaps best known for the title role in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, and it’s rumoured that she’ll be immersing herself in the plum role of Rouge the Bat in Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

It's no secret that the production of a television show is quite strict. With a massive cast and crew that needs to be managed, and a hard deadline to meet a season premiere, they must adhere to a tight schedule that leaves as little to chance as possible.
However, TV show creators sometimes manage to deviate from the plan and inject some impromptu creativity into the filming of a scene. This can be the result of a sudden strike of inspiration on the part of the cast, the director, the writer or even the showrunner. But sometimes, this random detour away from the script comes about completely by accident. Whatever the cause, these unplanned flourishes lead to scenes that are far more real for those involved than what might have thought. Because of the added realism, these scenes tend to pack more of an emotional punch or a gut-busting laugh,...

It’s more like unlucky Hank.
AMC has canceled Lucky Hank, the drama series starring Bob Odenkirk, after one season.
The series, which marked Odenkirk’s follow-up after Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, wrapped its eight-episode run in May and has been on the bubble during the writers and actors strikes.
The cancellation brings an end to Odenkirk’s run on the network, which dates back to 2009, when he was cast in Breaking Bad. The series concluded its run with a mere 260,000 same-day viewers.
“We’re proud of Lucky Hank and thankful for the work of everyone who brought this unique, playful and deeply human show to viewers, from the talented creative team to our partners at Sony and, of course, Bob, Mireille [Enos] and the entire cast and crew,” AMC said in a statement. “Unfortunately, we are not able to proceed with a second season, but we are glad...

AMC has axed the Bob Odenkirk-led drama series, which premiered in March.
The series, which is an adaptation of Richard Russo’s novel Straight Man, saw Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Odenkirk play William Henry Devereaux, Jr., the unlikely chairman of the English department in a badly underfunded college in the Pennsylvania rust belt, who is somewhere between midlife crisis and full-blown meltdown.
The eight-part series premiered in March and came from Sony Pictures’ Television TriStar TV and Mark Johnson’s Gran Via. Krysten Ritter has fallen down an all new rabbit hole in the first look at the AMC Networks’ anticipated spinoff, Orphan Black: Echoes.
The network released the minute-and-a-half trailer on Thursday during its panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and sees a disoriented Lucy (portrayed by Ritter) waking up to an unrecognizable near future. The original series is set in the same clone-filled universe as its critically acclaimed and fan-loved BBC America predecessor, Orphan Black, which starred Tatiana Maslany.
“What’s wrong with me?” Ritter’s Lucy can be seen asking. ”Why don’t I know who I am?”
The series is set to explore the scientific manipulation of human existence and will follow a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives while embarking on a journey that will both unravel the mystery of their identity and uncover a story of love and betrayal.

It's hard to believe that the Orphan Black franchise is staging a comeback almost seven years after its series finale.
Thankfully, it looks like Orphan Black: Echoes will fit into the franchise very well.
Krysten Ritter is known for delivering stellar performances, and we should expect more of the same in the AMC, AMC+, and BBC America sequel series, set to air in 2024.
The promo was unveiled during New York Comic Con on Thursday and showcases Ritter as Lucy, a young woman caught up in what we can only describe as a nightmare.
