Education Gracie graduated early with honors from Southern Methodist University with Sports Management and Broadcast Journalism degrees. She is now pursuing her Master's in Sport Management at the University of Kansas.
Athlete Gracie was-and still considers herself an athlete. She played competitive club soccer her whole life and won the state championship with her high school team. Her plans to play in college instantly changed when she suffered her fourth concussion, redirecting her to compete in pageants.
She now runs marathons and has completed two full and two half marathons. She will run the Boston Marathon in April 2023 and is raising money for Camp Shriver.
Service and Nonprofit Gracie's nonprofit, Breaking Barriers Through Sports, uses sports as a mechanism to promote respect and inclusion while breaking barriers imposed by society (social, socioeconomic, religious, language, religion, ability, etc.). Since its inception in 2016, she has been able to: speak in schools about the values of teamwork, respect, inclusion, and hard work. She has helped host NFL Play60 clinics and reach children from all backgrounds and walks of life. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to put on soccer clinics and bring supplies to underserved communities in Zambia, South Africa, Brazil, and Russia.
Since high school, Gracie has worked closely with Special Olympics. She played as a partner player on two Unified Special Olympics teams and served on both the Texas and Kansas Special Olympics Boards. She now serves as a Global Special Olympics Champion Ambassador and has lobbied before Congress on behalf of the Special Olympics.
Gracie is also passionate about ending modern-day slavery and has served on the board of New Friends New Life, an anti-human trafficking nonprofit.
NFL Since its start in 2012, Gracie has worked as a spokes-model for the NFL Women's Apparel Campaign and has appeared in Sports Illustrated, Teen Vogue, Redbook, Girls' Life, and other publications.
In addition, she helped launch the annual Chiefs Style Lounge in Kansas City. She has modeled in the show and now co-emcees each year. 2023 will mark the 12th annual Chiefs Style Lounge.
Gracie has grown up with a unique perspective of the sports world. Lamar Hunt, her grandfather, founded the Kansas City Chiefs and played an instrumental role in forming the NFL into what it is today. Her father, Clark Hunt, has served as Chiefs Chairman and CEO since Lamar's passing in 2006.
Gracie grew up on the sidelines and has watched the behind-the-scenes of running an NFL franchise her entire life.
She holds many roles with the team, working closely with NFL Style, marketing, serving on the selection committee for the Chiefs Cheerleaders, and assisting with the launch of Chiefs Fit-two state-of-the-art fitness centers opening in Kansas City.
MLS Gracie grew up playing soccer and observing and learning as Lamar and Clark helped found Major League Soccer. They ran the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas), the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting KC), and the Columbus Crew. Today, the family still operates FC Dallas.
NBA Basketball also is near and dear to Gracie's heart, as the Hunt family is the last remaining original investor in the Chicago Bulls.
Pageantry Gracie entered her first pageant after multiple concussions ended her soccer career. Gracie has held teen and miss state titles, competing at Miss Teen International in 2016 and Miss International in 2018.
Tavia Hunt, Gracie's mother, competed in pageants, serving as Miss Missouri Teen USA 1990 and Miss Kansas USA 1993, and placed 2nd runner-up at Miss USA.
Gracie was Miss Kansas USA 2021 and was a semifinalist in the 2021 Miss USA Competition.
Health and Fitness Suffering from Celiac Disease since she was young, Gracie developed a passion for health and nutrition, leading her to study and attain her nutrition accreditation and her training certification. She is a fitness fanatic and is passionate about health, as heart disease is the leading killer of women and has affected her grandparents and close friends. Gracie has been able to speak in schools to middle and high schoolers about health, fitness, and her journey as an athlete who transitioned to pageantry.
