David Gambino is an independent film and television producer who has collaborated with some of the industry's brightest minds. He is currently a producer on the acclaimed HBO series "Perry Mason."
He was the President of Production for Robert Downey Jr's production company. While at Team Downey, Gambino produced "The Judge", starring Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall, for which Duvall's performance received his seventh Oscar nomination.
Gambino spent the previous decade developing and physically producing films for legendary producer Joel Silver. He produced "The Invasion," starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, and acclaimed director Neil Jordan's vigilante thriller "The Brave One," starring Jodie Foster. He went on to produce the action-thriller "Whiteout," starring Kate Beckinsale, and the crime-thriller "The Factory," starring John Cusack.
Before Silver Pictures, Gambino produced and directed the now infamous graduate thesis film "Shooters," about the world of celebrity paparazzi. Made just before Princess Diana's tragic death, the film garnered unprecedented media attention (Entertainment Tonight, LA Times, Fox News) for its eerie similarities to the car crash in Paris. The short went on to win numerous awards on the festival circuit. The film caught the eye of producer Joel Silver and Silver launched Gambino's producing career.
He is creatively partnered with wife and screenwriter Lori Rosene-Gambino. Together they are developing a slate of features and television projects, including The Blacklist script, "The Murderer Among Us" about legendary German filmmaker Fritz Lang and the making of "M." He's also producing "A Headful of Ghosts" based on the bestselling Paul Tremblay horror novel at Fifth Season. He also has the crime-comedy "One Night at the Star Lite" with James McTeigue directing.
He is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
