Arlene Nelson will direct a documentary series on Indian Women’s Premier League cricket team U.P. Warriorz, it was revealed on the sidelines of the Asian TV Forum and Market (Atf).
The men’s Indian Premier League (Ipl) is one of the most lucrative properties in world sport. In June 2022, Viacom18, a TV and streaming group backed by billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani, paid $3 billion to win an online auction for two packages of digital rights to the men’s Ipl cricket. Disney, which held the TV and digital rights to Ipl for the past five seasons, won only the broadcast TV rights, but agreed to pay $3.01 billion for them.
The Women’s Premier League launched earlier this year and also proved to be enormously popular. The city-based team franchise rights were sold for $572 million and the media rights for $116 million.

Hillary Clinton and her daughter Chelsea are hitting the road in their new docuseries “Gutsy,” talking to inspiring women and trying bold new activities along the way. In the first trailer for the series, we see the former women of the White House rappelling over waterfalls, putting out fires — and bowling with Wanda Sykes.
According to Apple TV+, the series “shows Hillary and Chelsea as you’ve never seen them before, revealing their special mother-daughter bond and the unique, multi-generational way they approach the important and timely issues highlighted in each episode.” Those issues are raised as part of “a thought-provoking journey to speak with pioneering women artists, activists, community leaders and everyday heroes who show us what it truly means to be gutsy.”
We see a few of those famous faces in the footage, including Kate Hudson and her mom Goldie Hawn, Kim Kardashian and more. But, the series isn’t limited to actors.

A&e Network’s “Secrets of Playboy” is not here to play, boy. The upcoming docuseries, which unveiled its trailer Tuesday during the cable channel’s TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour day, aims to dive into the “ugly” side of Hugh Hefner’s outwardly “beautiful world,” as one of its interview subjects puts it. The side that “nobody wants to talk about,” another adds.
“He really did believe he owned these women,” Miki Garcia, a former playmate and director of playmate promotions, says in the trailer.
Watch the trailer via the video above.
“Secrets of Playboy” will look back at Hef’s media empire “through a modern-day lens,” A&e’s logline reads. It continues: “The series delves into the complex world Hugh Hefner created and examines its far-reaching consequences on our culture’s view of power and sexuality.
