Alexis Paul Laurent Barroso Sánchez is a French translator and editor specialized in video game localization. His skills include translation, editing and linguistic quality assurance. He was born on July 20, 2001 in Pierre-Bénite, France, to Spanish and French parents. He nurtured a passion for localization since he started taking part of fan translation projects while he was still in high school. After leaving high school with a baccalaureate diploma in Economics and Sociology, he studied English Linguistics, Literature and History at Université Lumière Lyon II and became a self-employed translator. As a sophomore, he left university to become a full-time freelance professional in the games industry, working for various developers and publishers around the world. During his first three years as a translator, Barroso has been involved in the localization process of over fifty titles of all sizes and genres, mainly visual novels, role-playing, strategy and action-adventure games.
