In his new series, Nye aims to tackle various topics from a scientific point of view – including artificial intelligence, alternative medicine and climate change. Netflix promises that Nye will dispel myths and refute anti-scientific claims while bringing in special guests, conducting experiments and demonstrations, “and ultimately letting the facts lead the argument.”
Nye, of course, was famously known as “Bill Nye the Science Guy” throughout the 1990s as the star of his own PBS and syndicated TV series.

Bill Nye the Science Guy is about to educate and inform a lot more people the fun way again. Netflix is giving him a brand new talk show series set for Spring 2017. Bill Nye the Science Guy was a half-hour science program that aired on PBS and other networks from 1993-1998. That might sound funny but as a kid who hid her geekiness, it was nice to see someone not just getting attention for theirs but paid for it. IndieWire reported this morning that the new series with Nye will be a talk show...

Since Craig Ferguson took the helm of CBS's Late Late Show in 2005, the Scottish American comedian has steered late night into uncharted talk show waters full of inanimate sharks and Tim Gunn Aquaman skits. Two weeks ago (before that Alicia Silverstone power outage), Movieline sought out the Late Late Show's producer Michael Naidus, who kindly discussed Ferguson-behind-the-scenes and the refreshingly relaxed, puppet-punctuated talk show.
