Only the hardest of hearts could have failed to be moved through Avengers: Endgame, especially through Chris Evans’ performance of them all. As much of a joyride as it felt because of those witty dialogues and scenes, it was also one of the most heartbreaking films in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surpassing even Avengers: Infinity War in its battle of being a total tear-jerker.
Avengers: Endgame (2019).
That being said, while the movie in itself was one thing in terms of a heart-wrenching storyline, even the sets of the film managed to make one Avenger’s mother burst into tears! This Avenger was none other than the beloved former Captain America portrayer Evans, and his mother actually turned into a sobbing mess after seeing him on the sets of the 2019 blockbuster for an understandable reason.

There is no denying the fact that a Quentin Tarantino film almost always sparks debates. The maverick filmmaker has carved a niche for himself with his unique brand of writing and storytelling that has won him critical and commercial acclaim. But his work has also earned him criticism for the manner in which he has chosen to execute certain sensitive narratives on screen.

In 2012, Tarantino directed Django Unchained for which he earned an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The film is a fictionalized narrative set during the period of African slavery in the USA. While it received a lot of praise from audiences and critics, accomplished Black filmmaker Spike Lee was harshly critical of the film for the way in which it depicted his ancestry.

X-Men ’97 has had massive success among the Marvel fans. The animated series, which is a revival and continuation of the ’90s X-Men show, has generated immense hype. However, it has also attracted very strong criticism regarding the character of Rogue. The fans did not appreciate how the show pulled off some insane de-sexualization of the curvaceous figure of Rogue.
Rogue in X-Men ’97
Since the first trailer dropped, many fans who found their first love in Rogue in the 90s complained on the internet that her physique was drastically changed in the new animation. In some scenes, Rogue’s butt looked extremely flat. However, the Rogue voice actress, Lenore Zann, seems to have found the perfect way to address the criticism by paying homage to the iconic “America’s Ass.”

Avengers: Endgame has completed its five-year anniversary. Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt took a moment to celebrate one of the grandest MCU movies of all time with a video from the set of the Russo Brothers’ 2019 movie that closed the chapter of the Infinity Saga.

The actor was nostalgic while sharing the video that featured the roster of MCU stars as they ensemble for the final battle against former MCU big bad of Infinity Saga, Thanos. The movie was of epic proportion, a grand narrative propelling MCU’s mightiest heroes to fight against the near impossible battle against the Mad Titan. Anthony and Joe Russo seem to think that the chapter on Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man is closed after his heroic sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. When they learned that Downey Jr. hinted at his potential return to the MCU role, they were confused by the idea. The Gray Man directors revealed that they have no clue about how the cinematic universe would bring back the character.

Ever since Steve Rogers decided to hand his shield off to his buddy Sam Wilson (a.k.a. Falcon) at the end of Avengers: Endgame, fans have wondered what was next. By the end of the series, he knew he was the only person who could take on the role of Captain America. Now, where do we go? It looks like the upcoming story of super heroes and alter egos, Captain America: Brave New World, will tell us.

The year was 2013. With Marvel raking in billions at the box office with its interconnected superhero movies, it was time for DC to kick off its own extended universe. After all, Marvel had taken characters like Iron Man and Thor (both relatively obscure at the time) and Captain America (hopelessly old fashioned) and turned them into bone-fide sensations that led to 2012's The Avengers.
Zack Snyder led the charge on creating a DC Extended Universe, directing many of the franchise's films and producing most of the others.
But Zack Snyder's Dceu never did match the success of its rival franchise, and after a decade of faltering box office receipts and 'meh' reviews the whole thing came to an anticlimactic end with the 2023 flop Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Now the entire thing is getting rebooted. So what does Zack Snyder think of that?

It’s been five years since Chris Evans suited up as Captain America for what was seemingly the last time in Avengers: Endgame, but we still have a hard time picturing anyone but him bringing Steve Rogers to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He’s simply so well-cast in the role that it’s like he’s playing himself! It’s been years since he last picked up the shield, but he’ll always be our Cap.
While he is now synonymous with the part, Chris initially turned it down. Who might have picked up the shield if he never agreed to lead the Avengers? We did some digging and rounded up 11 actors who were considered for the role.
Interestingly, some of them wound up acting alongside Chris in the MCU. Two of them even yielded Cap’s shield at various points.
Others joined the franchise after he left.

Five years after it was first released, the legendary MCU film Avengers: Endgame still holds a special place in the hearts of fans. The cinematic event was preceded by the equally compelling Avengers: Infinity War, which saw many of the MCU’s beloved heroes be a victim of Thanos’ fatal Snap.
One of the highlights of the fourth Avengers film was the famous ‘Portal’ scene, which saw all of the heroes return back after the Og Avengers reverse the snap. The goosebumps-inducing scene is still remembered to this day by fans. However, the initial plan of the team behind the film reportedly did not include the legendary scene at all.

With future Avengers movies at stake, it seems that the MCU is not yet ready to let of of its old heroes. Having some veteran actors in their collection, Marvel Studios has allegedly told two Avengers stars to clear their schedule for Avengers 5!

If The Marvel Cinematic Universe wobbled in 2023 because of the poorly received ‘Ant-Man 3’ “The Marvels,” and “Secret Invasion” series, many might argue part of that is the loss of its big stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johannsson in the post “Avengers: Endgame” universe.
All three of their characters, Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow, respectively, either died or were essentially taken off the battlefield (Captain America came back from his time travel exploits as an old man).

This article contains spoilers for "X-Men '97."
I'm the precise age to have been introduced to the Marvel Universe by animation and film. Back then in the bygone 2000s, superhero movies never crossed over and the best that us wee fans could hope for was, say, the X-Men playing guest star on "Spider-Man" for an episode or two. I've now evolved into a curmudgeon who thinks superhero cinema could use more individuality and less interconnectivity, but I digress.
All this is to say that "X-Men '97" episode 7, "Bright Eyes," featured the sort of brief guest appearance that would've made 10-year-old me super-excited: Rogue meets Captain America (Josh Keaton). You might recall that Cap appeared back in the original "X-Men" cartoon; the season 5 episode, "Old Soldiers," showed him and Wolverine on a mission together in World War II. Fascinatingly, X-Men ’97 is not the first show with a rumored Spider-Man cameo this year. However, it is much more likely that Marvel’s Web-head would be able to make an appearance in the X-Men successor series given that Marvel might not have to jump hoops to bring him into X-Men ’97.
Marvel famously has to share its rights with Sony when it comes to Spider-Man, splitting his rights to appear in live-action films. There was a lot of anticipation about how the character might appear in Amamzon’s Invincible, but that was quickly sidestepped thanks to the hoops the show might have to go through to make that happen.

Chris Evans played the role of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America in the MCU. For almost a decade, the actor entertained fans with his unrelenting optimism and good-old heroism in films such as Captain America: The First Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The actor departed from the role after the end of his character arc in Endgame.
While fans want Evans to return to his role for the upcoming Avengers 5, the actor seems to be done with the character for a while. However, he did not rule out the possibility of returning to the MCU as a whole, as he expressed his desire to play Johnny Storm again. The actor had previously played the role in Fox’s Fantastic Four, which starred Jessica Alba.

Only under great duress is one’s mettle assessed; responses to troubling times are the litmus test of one’s character. While some possess the temperament to endure and gather themselves, there remain those too broken who easily resort to destructive paths. The massacre of Genosha has wrecked the X-Men in the worst way imaginable, and Rogue’s extreme reaction in its aftermath, as shown in the seventh episode of the season, is her coping mechanism. However, considering this as the lowest point for the mutants would be foolishness, as even worse is yet to come, which is teased by the latest episode of X-Men’97 titled ‘Bright Eyes’, as an evil mastermind plans to break the spirit of the mutants worldwide.
In the previous episode, it was revealed that Charles Xavier had actually survived Gyrich’s assassination attempt and was living in the Shi’ar Empire with his beloved Empress Lilandra.

Every Marvel fan is currently busy binging on the X-Men ’97 series. The premise of the animated series picks up where the 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series ends. The MCU series is created by Beau DeMayo. So far, seven episodes have dropped on Disney+ Hotstar. In the latest episode, ‘Bright Eyes’, the team has brought back Steve Rogers, aka Captain America.
In MCU movies, Chris Evans, who played Steve Rogers, is probably dead after Avengers: Endgame. But seeing the Cap return in X-Men ’97 made the Marvel fans happy. However, not everyone is pleased with the way they treated him in the animated series. Fans are unhappy with how the makers showed Steve’s alignment towards the government when he stood against their wrongdoings in movies. It’s a scene between Rogue (voiced by Lenore Zann) and Cap (Josh Keaton) that has got the reactions.

The end of the fifth episode of "X-Men '97" gave fans quite the shock. Not only did the peaceful haven of Genosha suddenly find itself under attack by a massive Tri-Sentinel Master Mold that massacred unknown numbers of mutants, but the beloved X-Men team member Gambit met his demise in a final act of heroism that stopped the tragedy from getting even worse. A week later, the end of the sixth episode revealed that it was recurring X-Men villain Mister Sinister who was behind the attack, having manipulated Bolivar Trask into activating the Sentinel strike. Shane Black's 2016 cop comedy "The Nice Guys" was a winking, comedic riff on hard-boiled detective movies, meant to deconstruct the genre as much as pay homage to it. Set in Los Angeles in 1977, the plot revolves around the booming porn industry and the private investigators hired to look into a mysterious death. The central joke of "The Nice Guys" is that the main P.I.s, Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) are kind of bumbling idiots. They know how to investigate mysteries, but their central talents seem to be good luck and mere tenacity. Because the film was written by Black, the dialogue crackles and the characters vibrate with energy and life; Black doesn't write dialogue to be merely functional, preferring to give his characters wit and pathos.
"The Nice Guys" cost $50 million to make, but only ultimately earned about $71 million worldwide, which, in Hollywood terms, is a notable bomb.

There is a lot of buzz surrounding Anthony Mackie’s upcoming first solo superhero Marvel movie, Captain America 4. Amid this buzz, there has also been a lot of speculation followed by rumors, along with reports that the film has faced multiple, multiple reshoots. Of course, all of this has fans all confused about what they can actually expect to see in the 2025 scheduled movie.
Captain America: Brave New World (2025).
Despite this, this game of reports popping up every now and then about further updates on the movie is far from ended. This comes after one latest report claims that apparently, Captain America: Brave New World would be revisiting one major and still unanswered plot hole from one of the worst-rated films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Eternals.

The new trailer of the upcoming MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine was released earlier this week. The trailer gives a full glimpse of Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine and sees him team up with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. The film would be a multiversal story, with Wolverine dealing with ‘letting down his world’ and the mission helping him get over it.
To add to the hype, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld took to his social media to appreciate the film. Having already seen it, the comic book creator compared the action sequences to that of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and even teased that the film would be one of the ‘best comic book films of all time’.

If you're not examining every single new detail in the freshly released "Deadpool & Wolverine" trailer, then can you really call yourself a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The movie is bringing the raunchy Merc with a Mouth into the MCU for the first time, and Ryan Reynolds gets to keep his R-rated naughtiness, marking a major first for Marvel Studios. Joining him is Hugh Jackman, reprising his beloved role as Wolverine for the first time since the character met his moving fate in "Logan," though it might be a version of Wolverine we've never met before. But there are bound to be many more mutants and Marvel characters joining in the fun as well.
However, no matter how big of a Marvel movie fan you might be, unless you're also a Marvel Comics fan, there's a brilliant Easter egg you possibly missed.

The creations of Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett among numerous others shall remain unparalleled in history due to the weight of the legacy of Batman: The Animated Series. The 90s show taught the world more about the Caped Crusader than all the Batman movies combined and remains one of the most beloved series due to reasons far beyond simple human understanding.

In its culmination, the pay-off for creating Batman: The Animated Series was an inadvertent insult to the reputation of the show that changed millions of lives around the world.

Wolverine is the best at what he does. And what he does is self-loathing and swear words. At least, that’s what we see in the latest trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, courtesy of a returning Hugh Jackman seemingly as the only surviving X-Man from his universe.
The third Deadpool movie has long promised to be an R-rated reunion for 20th Century Fox mutants and a way to bring the X-Men into the MCU, so far the teasers are delivering just that. The first trailer was a cameo-fest full of Deadpool‘s supporting cast and other Fox characters, as well as a few Fox X-Men villains. The second trailer continues this trend, but focuses more on Wolverine. Along the way, we get some deep Marvel winks, many of which fly by so quickly that it takes enhanced senses to catch them.

‘X-Men ’97’ is Marvel Studios’ newest success. The animated series picks up where the original X-Men show left off, and fans are happy with how authentic the revival feels.
The episodes keep drawing in high ratings, and the story keeps improving. Season 2 has already been confirmed before its release, and discussions about season 3 are currently happening.
The show is officially part of the Marvel Animated Multiverse, but Kevin Feige mentioned that they did think about making it part of the MCU at one time, as he discussed in his recent interview with Inverse.
It’s actually gone back and forth quite a few times, and I think we did land in a smart place because [X-Men: The Animated Series] was its own thing, and I think that to continue it we needed to be our own thing.
Feige is correct in stating that introducing ‘X-Men ’97’ into the MCU would complicate the already complex canon.

X-Men ’97 had a stupendous success to the credit of the show. The Disney+ show is the continuation of the X-Men: The Animated Series in the 90s, now only without Professor X. Following the show claiming the astonishing height of accolades from fans and critics, Marvel Boss Kevin Feige reportedly has a big plan for the show.

However, fans have a difference of opinion regarding Feige’s decision. Most fans are in line with not tainting the show with any interference. Of course, X-Men ’97 has been an emotional roller coaster for Marvel fans as they could relive the nostalgia of the original show in the 90s.

A small piece of contemporary cinema history was written last night in St Andrews, Scotland when Steven Soderbergh sat down with Joe and Anthony Russo on stage at the Sands International Film Festival to discuss their 2002 collaboration Welcome to Collinwood.
Produced by Soderbergh and George Clooney who also stars alongside William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, Sam Rockwell, Luis Guzmán, and Patricia Clarkson, Welcome to Collinwood was the second feature from the Russos following their debut feature Pieces, which bombed out of Slamdance in 1997.
“There was zero interest in the film from anybody but this man over here,” Anthony said of Pieces, pointing towards Soderbergh. The sex, lies and videotape filmmaker had been present at the doomed Pieces screening at Slamdance and reached out to the directing duo to impart some wisdom.
“It was insanely ambitious and dense,” Soderbergh told Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr, who moderated the talk, of Pieces.

Spoilers and leaks are common in superhero media, usually from unofficial sources, and easy to brush off. However, it’s rare to have the next MCU villain spoiled by a McDonald’s toy.
That’s exactly what happened with a Happy Meal promotion, giving us a sneak peek at Diamondback for the upcoming ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ The packaging names the character “Cascavel,” Portuguese for Rattlesnake, hinting at their MCU version. The toy looks like the Marvel Comics villain, with the same hair color and a black and purple outfit.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are familiar with the running debate about who is the strongest Avenger.
