- [on "Blues Funeral"] Generally I write on the guitar, but this one I started a few with the keyboard and a drum machine, to do something different.
- [on "Blues Funeral"] They were all written right before or during the period when we recorded. Usually I have a stockpile. I still work with cassette tapes, and when I was about to start this record I went into my bag of tapes and they were all demagnetized. Wiped clean. So I didn't really have anything to start with.
- There's this Danish director, Nicolas Refn [Nicolas Winding Refn], who made the Pusher trilogy, which I'm really into. In the second Pusher film there's a piece of music called Sad Disco, by Keli Hlodversson, which I particularly enjoyed.
