- David Davies began as a reporter for BBC Wales and lobby correspondent for the LBC, before joining BBC Manchester. He regularly contributed to "Look North West" and "Nationwide", "Nine O'Clock News", "Grandstand", BBC religious and sports programmes. He is also a trained teacher. He joined the English Football Association and rose rapidly through the ranks to become Executive Director.
