Heading into the first live eviction episode of “Big Brother 25,” the game was unexpectedly shaken up when the producers expelled Luke Valentine for his use of the N-word. That had everyone both inside and outside the house wondering if the live eviction of either Felicia Cannon or Kirsten Elwin would still go on as normal. Remember, just last summer, the backstage twist was scrapped when Paloma Aguilar voluntarily quit the show, which meant block-mates Taylor Hale and Terrance Higgins were both spared; Taylor went on to win the game. So who ended up being evicted on Thursday night?

All week long, “Big Brother 25” fans have been making their predictions at Gold Derby for who they think will be evicted on Thursday, August 10. As of this writing, Kirsten Elwin has leading 3/2 odds to be evicted, while Felicia Cannon is in second place at 10/3 odds. However, the “No One” option is steadily rising on our elimination chart, as some viewers suspect Julie Chen Moonves might surprise the houseguests with good news in the wake of Luke Valentine‘s removal due to using the N-word.
Week 1 started with Kirsten, Felicia, Jared Fields and Cory Wurtenberger all nominated for eviction when they lost their four mini-challenges on move-in day. Julie then revealed that the soon-to-be-crowned Head of Household would have the ability to remove two of the four nominees from the chopping block. Reilly Smedley won the Hoh competition and she decided to save Jared and Cory, thereby keeping Kirsten and Felicia on the block.

It became a running gag that Big Brother 24 finalist Matt “Turner” rarely showered, and Live Feed viewers insisted they never saw him in the showers. Playing into the joke, Turner promised to shower daily if he received a second chance on the competition show.
Matt ‘Turner’ promised to shower daily if he returns for another season of ‘Big Brother’
In September 2022, Matt “Turner” made it to the finale of Big Brother 24, where he believed longtime ally Monte Taylor would take him to the end. However, he chose Taylor Hale to his detriment as she won in a near-unanimous vote.
After his third-place finish, Turner has traveled with Taylor and their castmate Joseph Abdin to Canada and, most recently, Honduras. Additionally, he proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Megan Belmonte, in October 2022, a few weeks after the finale.

Big Brother 24 runner-up Monte Taylor was pretty shocked by the outcome on finale night.
After winning the final Head of Household Competition, Monte thought that he was about to win the 750,000 when he chose to send Matthew Turner to the BB24 jury.
Unfortunately for Monte, it was Turner who ended up being the only person to vote for him to be the Big Brother 24 winner.
When Julie Chen Moonves read off the votes, it was Taylor Hale who won Big Brother 24. The 8-1 vote total made it seem like a really one-sided season of the show.
Later, Taylor was also named America’s Favorite Houseguest, winning a close vote against two other fan-favorites from the season.
“I had no doubt in my mind that I would be coming out on top after the vote,” Monte told Entertainment Weekly after the season finale aired.

In one of the most improbable runs in “Big Brother” and reality TV history, Taylor Hale won “Big Brother 24” on Sunday, nearly three months after she was ostracized and targeted by the house in the very first week of the game. She also won America’s Favorite Houseguest, the first game winner to take home the 50,000 prize.
Entering the finale, Taylor was dejected after losing the first two parts of the final Hoh to Matthew Turner and Monte Taylor, respectively, meaning she would have to rely on one of them to bring her to the final two. Monte won the third part and kept his promise to take her to the final two, where the former Miss Michigan crushed the jury Q&a and delivered a final speech for the ages, “challenging” the jury to vote for someone with resiliency and persistence instead of just comp wins. And then there were three. Following the eviction of Brittany Hoopes on “Big Brother 24,” the Final 3 houseguests — Taylor Hale, Matthew “Turner” Turner and Monte Taylor — celebrated making it to finale night by toasting with champagne. Throughout the course of Sunday’s two-hour finale, the players competed to become the last Head of Household of the season, and then the jury ultimately rewarded the 750,000 grand prize to one lucky contestant. So who won “BB24”?

Despite a last-ditch effort to save herself this week, Brittany Hoopes was evicted on Thursday night’s live episode of “Big Brother.” The 32-year old hypnotherapist from Austin, Texas was sent to the jury house by Monte Taylor, who won this week’s Veto contest and the sole power to evict. Monte decided Matthew “Turner” Turner was better for his game heading into Sunday’s finale along with Taylor Hale.
“If I’m being honest, it makes most sense for his game,” Brittany told host Julie Chen Moonves during her exit interview. “[Monte] is closer with Turner. I know I would have crushed him in those comps at the end. I feel confident about that. He’s right. His arguments were logical. It just wasn’t in my favor.”

Following the eviction of Alyssa Snider on “Big Brother 24,” only four players remained in the running to win the 750,000 grand prize: Taylor Hale, Brittany Hoopes, Monte Taylor and Matthew “Turner” Turner. Taylor proved her worth by winning the Head of Household competition centered around Julie Chen Moonves‘ wardrobe, which secured her spot in the Top 3. But remember, no matter who she nominated for eviction, this week would all come down to the Veto winner, as that person had the power to determine which two houseguests would be sitting on the block come eviction night. Despite a solid campaign to save herself this week, Alyssa Snider was evicted from the “Big Brother” house on Thursday’s episode. The 24-year old from Siesta Key, Florida managed to gain a vote from her former nemesis Brittany Hoopes, but lose the vote of her house Bff, Matthew “Turner” Turner. That left Head of Household Monte Taylor as the tie-breaker and he chose to send Alyssa to the jury house and keep his new snuggle buddy Taylor Hale by his side.

Early on September 10, the final five houseguests were awoken from their beds to play in an important Veto Competition, but some drama surfaced when one of them got disqualified for not making it to the backyard in time.

DJ Showtime’s set has ended on “Big Brother 24.” After surviving the block four times, Terrance Higgins was the first evictee on Thursday’s double eviction, getting bounced by a vote of 4-0. His fate was sealed once Michael won his record-breaking sixth Veto of the season and did not use it, upholding his promise to Turner last week not to target him. Terrance took a rather unconventional approach in his campaign, telling Michael that he would disparage him to the jury if he targeted him, but Michael remained unbothered.
Below, Terrance explains why he took the hostile route and if he would’ve really worked with Taylor as he had pitched.
Gold Derby: You attempted to bridge the gap with Taylor this week. Why didn’t you try to work with her earlier?
Terrance: It was hard for me to work with her earlier because we were on two...

Just five people remained in the game as they played a late-night Hoh Competition to decide who would take the power next.
Matt Turner, Taylor Hale, Brittany Hoopes, Monte Taylor, and Alyssa Snider make up the final five, all of whom hope that they can hang on and win the 750,000 prize.
One person has now made the final four, though, as Monte won that Hoh Competition. It means he gets to name the two people who will be on the block to begin the week.

The mightiest comp beast of all time couldn’t save himself when it mattered most on Thursday’s double eviction episode of “Big Brother.” Michael Bruner stormed out of the house without saying goodbye after being voted out 3-0 over his Bff Brittany Hoopes. Alyssa Snider, Monte Taylor and Taylor Hale all chose to send the front-runner packing. They, along with Head of Household Matthew “Turner” Turner, just couldn’t see themselves winning against the 28-year old attorney in the final.
In one last hail Mary attempt to stay in the game, Michael threw Brittany under the bus during his final plea. “I feel so bad,” he admitted to host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview. “I love Brittany but I had to do it. I would have regretted it forever if I didn’t try.” But was anything he said about her untrue? “That’s what people were talking about,...

It was an unceremonious exit for Terrance Higgins when he became the first houseguest sent packing on Thursday night’s live double eviction episode of “Big Brother.” The 47-year old bus operator from Chicago stormed out of the house after being unanimously evicted by a vote of 4-0 over Alyssa Snider. The Head of Household responsible for his dismissal was Michael Bruner.
“That was an homage to Daniel [Durston],” Terrance told host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview when asked about his quick exit. Daniel memorably (or not?) left in an uproar without saying goodbye way back on Day 37. But Terrance admits he was upset as well. “That definitely did play a role,” he explained. “You had the [opportunity] to do something that you just didn’t do. You knew that Alyssa’s votes, to me, look stacked in jury right now. And you have more of a fight to get Michael out of the house.

Big Brother 24 is down to just five people competing for the 750,000 prize.
Two houseguests got sent packing during a Double Eviction episode, increasing the number of BB24 jurors to six.
Viewers who tuned in for the Thursday night episode might have come away feeling like there was too much filler, though, as most of the first hour was spent on recapping previous conversations that took place in the house.
At the first Eviction Ceremony of the evening, the voters had to choose between sending out Terrance Higgins or Alyssa Snider.
With a unanimous vote of 4-0, Terrance became the fifth member of the BB24 jury.
Even though viewers knew a Double Eviction was coming, the houseguests appeared to be convinced otherwise.

Heading into the ninth eviction episode of “Big Brother 24,” Alyssa Snider and Terrance Higgins sat on the block under Michael Bruner’s third Head of Household reign. The comp beast also won a record-breaking sixth Veto of the season, opting not to use it in hopes his target Terrance would soon join the jury.
Host Julie Chen Moonves surprised the houseguests (sort of) by letting them know tonight is a double eviction episode. That means one full week of “Big Brother” will all play out in the span of an hour before a second houseguest is sent packing. By the end of the night, just five players will remain in the game.

Heading into Wednesday’s all-important Veto episode of “Big Brother 24,” Michael Bruner had just won his third Head of Household competition of the summer, and he nominated Terrance Higgins and Alyssa Snider for eviction. The comp beast wanted to nominate Matthew “Turner” Turner because he was his biggest threat, but he’d promised him safety the previous week. The other players still in the house are Michael’s “Big Brochella” buddies Brittany Hoopes, Taylor Hale and Monte Taylor. Heading into Sunday’s all-new episode of “Big Brother 24,” Kyle Capener had just been evicted by a 5-0 vote over Taylor Hale. It followed an emotional week that forced the houseguests to have difficult discussions about race, implicit bias and racism. As the dust settled, the Leftovers alliance had come crashing down, with remaining members playing cat and mouse about who will strike first. Michael Bruner, Brittany Hoopes and Taylor formed a final three deal. On the other side, Monte Taylor, Matthew “Turner” Turner and Terrance Higgins have a bromance going with the Dog Pound. Meanwhile, Alyssa Snider is up for grabs after her boyfriend got the boot.
Following Kyle’s eviction, the remaining eligible players then embarked in the next Hoh competition, with one person securing victory and winning the coveted Head of Household key.

Caution: Spoilers ahead!
There’s a lesson to be learned from Kyle Capener’s past week in the “Big Brother” house: if you ever think it’d be a good idea to try to divide groups among racial lines because you don’t trust Black people, you’re probably the one in the wrong and you should probably just stop talking.
Well, on Thursday, after planting the seeds of racial discord, Kyle was sent packing from the “Big Brother” house in an emotional exit. By a vote of 5-0, Kyle was evicted.
In his exit interview, Kyle explained, “Man, it was a very, very tough week, but honestly, I’m feeling so grateful to have this experience with all these amazing people. They shared so much love and compassion for someone as flawed as I am. Like I just feel so grateful to have had this experience and to have it with these houseguests.

Kyle Capener was not surprised by his eviction on Thursday’s episode of “Big Brother.” The 29-year old from Utah had an emotional week after Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes exposed comments he had made weeks prior that seemed to be rooted in implicit bias. Whether one agrees with the tactics or timing of this revelation, it resulted in some pretty heartfelt conversations, particularly between Kyle and the Black houseguests remaining. Still, Kyle all but conceded and was unanimously evicted by a vote of 5-0 under the Hoh reign of Matthew “Turner” Turner.

Big Brother 24 spoilers about who is going to become the fourth member of the BB24 jury became noticeable on the live feeds.
Matt Turner won the Week 8 Head of Household Competition, and his final nominees for the week were Kyle Capener and Taylor Hale.
Michael Bruner was Turner’s primary target, but Michael won another Power of Veto. He then used the Pov to save Brittany Hoopes from the block.
At the Veto Meeting, Turner put Kyle up on the block as the replacement nominee, but it seems like he would still prefer Taylor to be the one heading to the jury house next.
With just eight people left in the game, it means five voters will determine whether it is Taylor or Kyle joining Jasmine Davis, Indy Santos, and Joseph Abdin in the jury house.

The 24th season of “Big Brother” may have just produced its first all-star in Michael Bruner. The 28-year old from Rochester, Minnesota won his fifth Power of Veto competition on Wednesday night, which ties the record set by Janelle Pierzina (Season 7), Daniele Briones (Season 8), Paul Abrahamian (Season 19) and Kaycee Clark (Season 20). Michael achieved this feat in less than 60 days inside the Bb house, faster than anyone else in the show’s history.
Janelle still stands alone in overall single-season comp victories. With four Head of Household reigns, the Bb Prom Queen won nine competitions during her 67-day stay in 2006. To date, Michael has won two HOHs for a total of seven comp wins, putting him within striking distance of more history. But how long can he avoid the block?

And just like that, The Leftovers have been thrown out with the trash. The dominant “Big Brother” alliance made it to the halfway point of the game, but new Head of Household Matthew “Turner” Turner decided to use his reign to draw a line between his Pound group and the other three. After putting Brittany and Taylor on the block, Turner hinted that his real target this week might be Michael, but of course, it all would depend on who won the impending Veto competition.

Turner became the Week 8 Head of Household after everyone was reunited indoors and got right to work with possibly making a huge game move.
Turner nominated Brittany Hoopes and Taylor Hale for eviction, all while talking about using Michael Bruner as a backdoor option in order to send the new Veto King packing.

The Split House Twist proved to be one of the biggest game-changers in “Big Brother” history, as it resulted in The Leftovers alliance being outed and two members turning on themselves. At least, that’s what happened outside at Dyre Fest. Inside was smooth sailing for the Big Brochella fest-goers. When the dust was settled, both Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin were evicted from the “Big Brother” house. So who won Hoh after everyone met up again at the conclusion of the Split House Twist?

Terrance Higgins made it to the final eight of the Big Brother 24 cast. Pic credit: CBS
A new Big Brother 24 Head of Household has taken charge of the final eight houseguests.
Earlier in the night, Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin fell in the Double Eviction episode.
Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins were the outgoing HOHs, and they had to watch Brittany Hoopes, Taylor Hale, Kyle Capener, Alyssa Snider, Matt Turner, and Monte Taylor play in the new Head of Household Competition.
Alyssa knew that she was on the outside of everything during the challenge. If she or Kyle didn’t win Hoh and gain some automatic safety, it meant that one or both of them could wind up on the block very soon.
The results of the Week 8 Hoh Competition could also dictate whether or not The Leftovers would survive as an alliance. Something different could very easily be on the horizon.

Because of the Split House Twist, two separate evictions played out on “Big Brother 24” on Thursday: one indoors and one outdoors. The Dyre Fest crew outside sent Joseph Abdin packing by a vote of 2-0 over Kyle Capener. Alyssa Snider and Matthew “Turner” Turner did the honors while Head of Household Terrance Higgins looked on.
“Apparently my bromance was more intimidating than [Kyle’s] showmance,” Joseph told host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview. He was referring to his close friendship with Monte Taylor who was at Big Brochella inside the house this week. “That was the concern for everyone. Kyle and Alyssa were running the backyard. It was a hard battle but I might as well try.”
Joseph went into Dyre Fest completely loyal to his Leftovers alliance. Did he have any regrets about that? “No,” he responded. “Coming into this game I wanted to prove a point. It’s...
