Christina Ricci has been in the entertainment industry for long enough to establish her comfort level when it comes to filming sex scenes. The actor spoke candidly about how she doesn’t particularly enjoy them. This preference once could have landed her in legal trouble. The Yellowjackets star explained that while working on a project, she refused to film a sex scene. The boundary nearly got her sued.
Christina Ricci said she was threatened with a lawsuit when she refused to film a sex scene
In an appearance on The View, Ricci spoke about how film and television sets have changed over the years. Actors can state firm boundaries and have them respected by the crew and their co-stars. This wasn’t always possible in the near past.

Christina Ricci is living her best life on vacation with her partner, celebrity hairdresser Mark Hampton. The Yellowjackets star recently posted loved-up photos of the couple on lounging in Hawaii.
This vacation comes after drama with her ex, James Heerdegen.
Last month, she went on a trip to New York City with her oldest son, Freddie, whom she shares with Heerdegen.
According to Ricci, Heerdegen initially gave her permission to take their son on the trip but then later changed his mind. In response, Ricci requested an emergency court hearing with her ex.
During the hearing, Ricci stated, “Jimmy’s refusal to agree causes me concern because he clearly was being vindictive and retaliatory when he initially refused my request to travel for the additional dates. As recently as Monday, June 19, 2023, Jimmy was agreeable to allowing Freddie to travel with me, but apparently, he still wants to wait until our hearing to discuss it.

A few days ago, Cupsogue Pictures unveiled a trailer for the low budget thriller Control, which marks the first film to have Kevin Spacey in the cast since his sex offenses trial ended with the actor being found “not guilty of all nine charges related to sexual misconduct, including seven of sexual assault.” Spacey’s part is entirely vocal and he recorded his lines last December. Now it has been announced (via Variety) that Control has secured a release date. The film is set to be released in both the United States and the United Kingdom on December 15th.
Oddly, Variety also notes the movie doesn’t have a US distributor yet, so it’s not clear how it can already have a release date. But it’s said to be likely that sales agent TriCoast Worldwide will end up releasing it through their distribution arm, TriCoast Entertainment.

A couple weeks ago, Kevin Spacey’s sex offenses trial ended with the actor being found “not guilty of all nine charges related to sexual misconduct, including seven of sexual assault.” So now Cupsogue Pictures has gone ahead and unveiled a trailer for the upcoming low budget thriller Control, which happens to have Spacey in the cast. You won’t see him in the trailer embedded above, but his voice is quite prominent. According to Variety, Spacey’s performance in the film is entirely vocal.
Spacey’s Control character is a menacing presence who manages to hijack a government official’s smart car in order to exact revenge.
The government official, Home Secretary Stella Simmons, is played by Lauren Metcalfe, who has previously had small roles on Bridgerton and the TV series version of War of the Worlds that starred Gabriel Bryne. Mark Hampton (Liaison) is also in the cast as Prime Minister David Addams.

“Control,” Kevin Spacey’s first project since he was acquitted of sexual assault in the U.K., has dropped its first trailer.
Spacey, who was found not guilty on all counts last month at Southwark Crown Court, can be heard but not seen in the upcoming thriller.
In the micro-budget film, which was directed by Gene Fallaize, Spacey plays a menacing presence who manages to hijack a government official’s smart car in order to exact revenge.
The actor recorded his part, which is entirely vocal, in London last December while awaiting trial. He was cleared of nine charges against four men by a jury in July.
After the verdict was delivered, Fallaize told Variety he was glad he had stuck by Spacey. “I don’t regret casting Kevin and I would do it all over again,” said Fallaize.

Christina Ricci treated her eight-year-old son to a trip to New York City despite her ex-husband, James Heerdegen, attempting to prevent him from going.
The Wednesday and Yellowjackets actress shared her and Freddie’s experience through her Instagram Stories. The trip began with a visit to the famed Fao Schwarz toy store where Ricci bought a box of Marvin’s Magic Snow, a powder that creates imitation snow when added to water.
The pair then went to Central Park and ate at the chic restaurant, Craft, afterward. There, Freddie dined on Osetra caviar dish with potato rosti, crème fraîche and a watermelon mocktail.
Ricci stated through court documents that Heerdegen would not permit Freddie to go with her to New York City after previously agreeing to the trip. She called the film producer’s behavior “vindictive” and later said, “Jimmy seems to be more focused on harassing and punishing me...

If your perception of Christina Ricci is burned into your brain from the Nineties — when she broke into the public consciousness as the sullen child at the heart of the original Addams Family movie, then went on to play a sullen teen in Casper, a sullen tomboy in Now and Then, and a sullen new kid in Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain — you’d be forgiven for struggling to see her any other way.
