Year 2 of Manchester, England's premier horror film festival, Grimm Up North, is taking place Halloween weekend, 28th-31st October 2010, and the first four films have been officially confirmed along with a handful of the event's seminar guests.
For months the folks behind Grimmfest have been sifting through the latest in genre cinema to bring the best horror and sci-fi to this year's festival, and it looks like they're off to a damn fine start! Here's a small sample of what fest-goers have in store:
Reel Zombies: The film follows a group of independent filmmakers as they attempt to create a third entry in their series of 'Zombie Night' movies. This time, though, they'll be using the real live undead that have taken over much of the world. With a documentary team following them, the crew set out to create a masterpiece but discover shooting in a post-apocalyptic world often...

For fans trying to keep up with Adam, Kris and the other American Idol finalists on tour, the social networking service Twitter is making it surprisingly easy. This year, many of the singers have been checking in with fans via tweets. Turns out that 9 out of 10 have Twitter accounts, and several of them are very active on the social networking service.
But the one Idolist you can't currently find on Twitter? That would be Adam Lambert. He had an account but it was hacked and now someone has been masquerading as him on the service. And doing a passable job of it too. Even hacked and sparsely updated (only 31 posts), Adam's compromised account dwarfs the rest of the Idol finalists' accounts in terms of followers.
After the break, we've got Twitter stats for each of the AI finalists, as well as some gay-supportive tweeting by possibly the least likely of Idolists!

Matt Giraud kicked off the night perfectly - he was as Justin Timberlake-esque as ever going all out with his awesome rendition of "Let's Get It On" - and it was no surprise that the judges loved it. He was followed up by Kris Allen who made a great choice with "How Sweet It Is" to go with his cute smile and demeanor. Between mostly forgettable Scott MacIntyre and Megan Joy, the judges got a little silly when Paula gave Simon a coloring book and "crowns" (as Simon pronounced crayons). Later in the night, Simon drew a mustache on Paula's face. View 30 Photos › To hear what we thought of the rest of the performances, who we think is going home and...
