Projects by Stephan Elliott, The Babadook writer- director Jennifer Kent, Ben Elton, Rowan Woods, Trent O'Donnell and Jacqueline McKenzie are among the recipients of the latest round of development funding from Screen Australia.
The agency is investing more than $550,000 in 16 feature film projects, including 11 new ones and five that get continued support.

Jeff Fatt has revealed that he is recovering well from surgery. The 57-year-old Australian, who is best known as one member of children's entertainment group The Wiggles, said that he cannot wait to get back on stage after having a pacemaker fitted on Friday night. 'Purple Wiggle' Fatt told The Daily Telegraph: "This whole thing could have been so much more serious if I hadn't got it checked out. I'm a typical Aussie guy. I felt unwell but didn't think I needed to see a doctor. I'm a bit sore and tender but otherwise okay." The star was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia after blacking out while driving. Fatt continued: "I'm just relieved no one else was injured. I'm very thankful to [bandmate] Anthony [Field] and Paul Field for telling me to see someone. It's good to get a message out there.
