Schilling has repeatedly compared Islam to Nazism, as seen in this tweet. Schilling and Keith Law got into a heated exchange about evolution, with Schilling defending demanding to see evidence that the theory is true. Schilling defended South Carolina’s flying of the Confederate with this Facebook post.

With just one week remaining in the regular season and with most of the post-season berths already occupied, the attention of Mlb fans around the world has turned to the thorny issue of individual awards – which player deserves to win what. Every year there seems to be a huge amount of debate about the Mvp (Most Valuable Player) winners from both leagues, and this year’s American League Mvp race is proving to be no different. With respect to Edwin Encarnacion of the Toronto Blue Jays and second baseman Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees (who have both had fantastic seasons) it does appear that the Al Mvp crown for 2012 is a straight shoot-out between two men – Miguel Cabrera and the wonderfully named Mike Trout.

"'Moneyball,' the movie, is an absolute mess of a film, the type of muddled end product you'd expect from a project that took several years and went through multiple writers and directors." That's how Espn writer and former Toronto Blue Jays front office employee Keith Law opens his review of the new film 'Moneyball,' which he writes fails as both a movie and a baseball movie. "For starters, the lampooning of scouts, which draws from the book, isn't any more welcome on screen (where some of the scouts are played by actual scouts) than it was on the page; they are set up as dim-witted bowling pins for Beane and Brand to knock down with their spreadsheets. It's cheap writing, and unfair to the real people being depicted."
