Who is Dr. John Watson without Sherlock Holmes? CBS aims to find out as they have given a straight-to-series order to Watson, a drama series starring Morris Chestnut as the title character.
Set one year after the death of Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty, Watson will see “Dr. John Watson resume his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though—Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century.“
Craig Sweeny created the series and will serve as showrunner and executive producer. He also has experience with the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as he served as a writer and executive producer on Elementary, which starred Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson.

Premiering on Sept. 29, the series will follow Chestnut and build teams, led by designers Jon Pierre and Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin (Two Steps Home), as they take viewers through Greenwood’s rich history and the personal journeys of those featured – many of whom are the descendants of original Black Wall Street residents – over the course of six episodes. Hotdog Eating Competitor Joey ‘Jaws’ Chestnut Wins Fourth of July Contest Despite Rain For 16th Time
Joey Chestnut, the eating superstar known as “Jaws,” didn’t let rain stop him from winning Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July hot dog eating contest. He earned first place after eating 62 hotdogs in just 10 minutes. This is his 16th title win.
The men’s contest had a total of 17 competitors, who came from all over the world to compete. The runner-up was Geoffrey Esper who ate 49 hot dogs in the 10 minutes.
The competition was delayed for two hours, as the sudden rain came over Coney Island.
After winning the competition, Chestnut spoke about the event. “What a roller coaster, emotionally,” he said after not giving up on the competition despite the weather.
He recalls that the rain disrupted everyone’s mindset and that, “Everybody got messed up.”
Chestnut is from Westfield, Indiana, and has been competing for Nathan’s title since 2005 and has been the reigning champ since his...

The memeable world of Netflix‘s I Think You Should Leave got more juice thanks to competitive eater Joey Chestnut. Screenshots of Chestnut chowing down on hot dogs lean into a sketch creator and comedian Tim Robinson would have written.
The hot dog theme reigns supreme on Itysl. From Robinson dressed as a hot dog who crashed the hot dog mobile into a store to Robinson choking on a hot dog he was slyly eating inside his shirt sleeve, there is no “unseeing” Chestnut’s July 4th foodfest as a Itysl sketch.
‘Tim Robinson gotta do a Joey Chestnut sketch’
Itysl fans tweeted how “Tim Robinson gotta do a Joey Chestnut sketch.” Another fan tweeted a photo of Chestnut winning the July 4th, 2023 Hot Dog Eating Contest: “I can’t believe Tim Robinson didn’t invent Joey Chestnut,” the fan wrote.

With every Fourth of July comes a few guarantees: Fireworks, cookouts, and the assurance that Joey Chestnut will hork down enough hot dogs in a 10-minute span to feed a small village. In what is practically a given at this point, Chestnut remained the Nathan’s Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest champion, consuming 62 wieners and buns for his 16th win — not enough to beat his 2021 record of 76 but more than enough to best second place by 14.

The bulk of the third season of "Star Trek: Picard" takes place on the U.S.S. Titan-a, a ship that was once commanded by Captain Riker (Jonathan Frakes), but had since been entirely retrofitted and put under the charge of the embittered Captain Shaw (Todd Stashwick). Although "Picard" followed the fate of its title character (Patrick Stewart) and his old compatriots from "Star Trek: The Next Generation," one could see an entirely new Titan-based "Star Trek" series going on in the background. With a new crew, a new captain, and all-new technology, the Titan could easily have gone on its own exciting TV treks, even if the people on board had never met Admiral Picard.
Sitting at the helm of the Titan-a was Sidney La Forge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut), the estranged daughter of Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), once the chief engineer on the Enterprise-d. Sidney was merely an ensign,...
