Percy had a pretty rough Feb. 25.
That cat, who belongs to St. Paul, Minnesota, long-haul truck driver Paul Robertson, was spending his Feb. 24 hanging around with his owner in New Paris, Ohio, where Robertson was recovering from a bout of food poisoning.
Robertson, riding out his stomach troubles with sleep, had left his truck idling to keep the air conditioning active — but Percy activated the electric window and slipped out. When Robertson awoke, his pet was nowhere to be found, and worst of all, a storm was approaching.

Here's a cool retro 8-bit intro for Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's insane animated series that's been steadily building a fan base since it premiered back in 2013. This appears to have been commissioned by Adult Swim — or if not commissioned, at least tacitly approved, since the video comes directly from their own YouTube page. Big props to artist/editor Paul Robertson, who put this together.

Tribute Games, the Canadian indie studio behind Wizorb, are Kickstarting a new 2D run-and-gun platformer called Mercenary Kings.
Citing games like Megaman, Metal Slug, and Phantasy Star Online as inspiration, Mercenary Kings comes with a pedigree, backed up by most of the team that worked on 2010’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Of particular note is artist Paul Robertson, whose made a name for himself as an evocative and expressive (if not sometimes Nsfw) pixel artist.
An introductory trailer suggests that Tribute are taking a Borderlands-style approach to 2D action, promising “endless” customization options for your weapons, all wrapped up in a larger mission structure. I’ll tackle the cat-tank boss first, I think.
According to the team’s Kickstarter video, revenues from Wizorb are partly funding Mercenary Kings, but extra money is needed to complete what their calling a “more ambitious” game. In a perfect world,...

Ubisoft Montreal have finally unveiled their video game adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World based on the graphic novels of the same name.
Click here to view the embedded video.
The game is primarily a co-op side scrolling beat-em-up, but is also said to feature Guitar Hero-esque rhythm games among the other gameplay modes. With visuals being handled by artist Paul Robertson of Kings of Power 4 Billion Percent fame and chiptune music by Anamanaguchi the game looks to be coming together quite well.
No release date has been announced, but it is possible the game will be released in conjunction with Edgar Wright’s film adaptation of the graphic novels which hits theatres August 13th.

Fans of the "Scott Pilgrim" comic series know just how video game-infused it is. Therefore, making a game to tie in to this summer's release of the "Scott Pilgrim" movie makes total sense. Unfortunately, movie games tend to suck. Less unfortunately, this particular "Scott Pilgrim" game looks retro and delightful. GameInformer got a first look at the timed Psn-exclusive release.
It's a side-scrolling beat-em-up in the style of "Double Dragon" or "X-Men Arcade." It's made up of 2D sprites and 16-bit era graphics. It allows for four-player co-op. Need I go on?
Ok, I will. Perhaps the most exciting aspect is the participation of Paul Robertson. You may know Robertson's work from the YouTube series, "Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006", wherein Paul animated a ridiculous, side-scrolling brawler level of a game that doesn't exist. After watching the video, you can't help but be crushed to learn that there's no...

Toronto -- Goldman Sachs & Co. has sold its Canadian cable channels to cable operator Shaw Communications in a deal that ends a nasty court feud over Canada's most profitable TV assets.
As part of a network of deals unveiled Monday, Calgary-based Shaw will acquire all of a restructured Canwest Global Communications Corp., excluding its newspaper assets, when it eventually emerges from creditor protection. The deal, valued at about $2 billion, including about $800 million in assumed debt, will see Shaw pick up Canwest Global's conventional and cable TV operations.
To complete the deal, Shaw will pay Goldman Sachs $700 million in cash for the lucrative stable of Canadian cable channels, including Food Network Canada and Hgtv Canada. Canwest Global filed for court protection in the fall to keep creditors at bay while it attempts a restructuring.
But efforts to emerge from creditor protection were hampered by a battle for control of the media group between U.

Toronto -- Canadian broadcaster Corus Entertainment says the country's deep advertising slump is in the rear view mirror.
Toronto-based Corus saw its second quarter earnings nearly halve to $14.6 million, against $29 million in 2009, as it recorded a debt refinancing loss of $14.3 million during the latest three months to Feb. 28.
At the same time, overall revenue was $192.6 million, up from a year-earlier $181.3 million.
In line with industry trends, Corus also saw its second quarter TV revenue climb to $137 million, against a year-earlier $123.4 million, while its radio division saw revenue dip to $55.7 million, against $58 million in 2009.
Corus' kids channels signaled a rebound in overall ad and subscriber revenues, while its cable women's channel W has softer ratings as the new Ppm ratings system exposed male viewers were shunning beauty transformation series.
Corus reported its Movie Central pay TV service grew its subscriber base by 5% to 973,000 customers, and expects to have one million subscribers...

As well as the forthcoming final graphic novel and the big-screen movie adaptation starring Michael Cera, there is also a Scott Pilgrim video game in the works from Ubisoft.
A tie-in to the film, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, looks like it’s not going to be the typical cheap and quick movie cash-in. For one – as with the movie – Scott Pilgrim writer and creator Bryan Lee O’Malley had his hand in the production of the game, making sure that Ubisoft got the adaptation right and treated the property with respect; and two, the animation and artwork have come from pixel master Paul Robertson, creator of the Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006.
The game has been kept under wraps for some time, however at Pax East, which opened yesterday, it was revealed that 8-bit musicians Anamanaguchi are writing the soundtrack, and during their concert at the convention last night,...

This week we finally got to see the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs The World which will be released in August and is directed by Edgar Wright. The film is based on a wonderful series of comic books by Bryan Lee O’Malley who this week announced details of the final book, Volume 6 – Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour. If news of the final volume and a trailer for the film wasn’t enough, now we have more details about the Scott Pilgrim video game.
The comics and the film are heavily influenced by video games so it was pretty obvious that there would be a video game but video game tie-ins are often terrible (Iron Man for instance). Today though we have very good news as more details have surfaced that hint at this being a game that will live up to the great source material.

Toronto -- As the conventional TV advertising slump bites, Canadian broadcasters are seizing on a new revenue stream: acquiring digital rights of popular U.S. series for their broadband and entertainment portals.
Domestic broadcaster Astral Media said Monday that it reupped its supply deal with Disney-abc-espn Television to include increased streaming of Disney Channel programming on its Family Channel Web site.
Astral said Family.ca will now stream Disney Channel series such as "Hannah Montana," "The Suite Life on Deck" and "Wizards of Waverly Place."
Joe Tedesco, vp and Gm of Family Channel and Playhouse Disney at Astral, said he does not expect the new digital rights to be a major money-earner any time soon, but rather stoke his network's brand appeal online and send fans back to the linear offering.
"Our view is, by offering content online, it's all done in coordination with the promotion and activities of the linear and on-demand service.
