Shaka Hislop, the ESPN analyst and former soccer player who fainted on-air Sunday during pre-game coverage of a match between Real Madrid and AC Milan at the Rose Bowl, provided an update on his condition today, saying he’ll “seek out the best medical opinion I can get and listen to what my doctors have to say.”
In a brief video message posted on social media (watch it below), Hislop says, “Well, that was awkward. What a 24 hours this has been. Listen, every so often life gives you a moment to pause, and this was mine.”
The 54-year old Hislop, who collapsed while chatting with his ESPN co-host Dan Thomas, adds, “My response now has to be to seek out the best medical opinion that I can get and listen to what my doctors have to say.”
Hislop then goes on to thank his family, friends and colleagues who reached out following the incident.

A question which most football fans face each year is whether the next installment of the FIFA franchise is worth purchasing, or whether have they become disillusioned with it enough to turn to subsequent competition, namely Pro Evolution Soccer (Pes). Well, I have news for you - if you are buying a football game in september, FIFA is still the way to go. It’s as fluid as ever with developments in “precision movement”, “pure shot” and “real ball physics” and EA have stepped up their graphics game once more.

The Voice UK continued with another selection of artists hoping to turn the coaches' chairs with their talent.
The second round of Blind Auditions saw the coaches pick eight more acts to proceed through to the Battle Rounds, including West End star Liam Tamne, who joined Team will.i.am, giving him three singers so far.
Sir Tom Jones brought his tally to four, adding three more singers this week. Returning artist Alys Williams, Ragsy and country singer Emma Jade Garbutt were all chosen by Tom.
Meanwhile, Jessie J secured two more male singers in Trevor Francis and Thriller Live star Alex Buchanan. Both picked to join Team Jessie over working with other coaches. She now has five artists on her team.
Danny O'Donoghue was impressed by Nadeem Leigh's mix of Damien Rice and U2. Duo Smith & Jones also joined his team, bringing his total number of artists to three.

Team Tom
The silver bear - often the most reluctant to take a spin - surprised this week by landing three acts. 18-year-old beauty consultant Emma Jade Garbutt won over Sir Tom at the last second with her country-tinged 'Sweet Child O'Mine' - is she on the path to Nashville... and stardom?
One of the most memorable auditionees this week was Ragsy - the Welshman's powerful take on Coldplay's 'The Scientist' sent Tom and Danny both spinning, but in the end, Welsh solidarity won through. Does the lovable scruffbag have what it takes to top the charts?
Tom is like "velcro" to Welsh people, and also landed 25-year-old singer Alys Williams, who failed to win...

Here's a story to make you wonder whether it's Shrove Tuesday or April Fool's Day or indeed 'What The Cr#p?' Day. Yes, that's right: John Leguizamo has been cast as Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter in ABC's Us pilot of Only Fools And Horses. The '80s British telly staple is to be dusted off and given an American makeover. Leguizamo has taken the lead role as part of his new development deal with ABC, although there's no word yet on who'll be joining him behind the wheel of that Reliant (or Us equivalent) as Rodney.Scrubs writers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley are charged with translating the references to Trevor Francis tracksuits and pot pourri into something Us-friendly. According to Deadline Hollywood, Leguizamo’s long-time manager Jeff Golenberg takes exec-producer duties.Question is: what have you got left when you strip away the '80s get-rich-quick, cushty cockneyisms,...

With this week’s release of the yearly Fifa instalment from EA – to generally very impressive reviews so far, as ever – I got to thinking about the next stage of innovations I’d like to see in the game for next year, which would specifically address the current state of the game. Obviously, this is all tongue-in-cheek stuff, so don’t go flipping your lids…
Twitter Superstars Social media represents a major new concern for today’s footballer, with many of them only pausing from strict, self-promotional tweetathons to play their weekly 90 minutes or have sex with each other’s wives and girlfriends (Allegedly), before immediately returning to their endless spouting. Fifa 13 should then include a management zone that monitors exactly how much criticism the incredibly short-sighted superstars on your team are levelling at your regime, in order to track which of them wants a move to a “bigger club”, like Wigan.
