We've caught a few glimpses of Homelander in action in previous trailers for Mortal Kombat 1, but Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios has now debuted a new teaser revealing the first gameplay for upcoming downloadable content (Dlc), and it unveils The Boys character's hilariously gruesome Fatalities.
The trailer features the leader of The Seven squaring off against several classic Mk characters, as he unleashes his formidable superpowers to gain a victory before "finishing" them off in spectacularly gory fashion.
Homelander's peculiar fetish for drinking... a certain type of milk also carries over from the Prime Video series!
"Homelander is the most powerful being on the planet and the leader of The Seven, the elite superhero team owned and managed by Vought International," reads the official character breakdown. "In a world where “Supes” are made, he’s the strongest of them all. Homelander presents himself as the ultimate patriot and protector,...

Superman may be colloquially known as "The Big Blue Boy Scout," but sometimes, he can be straight up villainous. Sure, he's saved Metropolis (and the world) more times than any individual can count, however, that doesn't excuse his moments of cruelty and authoritarian-brand of justice.
The most interesting aspect of Superman as a character derives from his immortality on Earth. Short of using Kryptonite, our measly human-made weapons never account for much damage against the Man of Steel. The only thing stopping Clark Kent/Superman from taking over the world or causing serious harm is his sense of righteousness.
While Supes, for the most part, doesn't allow his ego or greed to corrupt him, he's certainly made some questionable decisions across his nearly-90 year history. As we prepare for the cinematic return of Superman with James Gunn's "Superman: Legacy," let's remind ourselves that even our most morally straight hero falters.

There is an exciting update for the fans of Prime Video’s Gen V as the filming of the second season of the show has commenced. A couple of cast members have taken to social media to post pictures from the sets of the superhero series, confirming that season 2 is now in production.
The development comes two months after the tragic demise of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson in The Boys’ spin-off. After the unfortunate event, the producers decided to delay the filming of the new season to give time to the cast and crew to process the loss and also to rewrite some portions of the storyline to explain Anderson’s departure from the show, as they decided not to recast the character.

Earlier this week, DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn shared a first look at David Corenswet suited up as Superman's Man of Steel. It likely hasn't received the reaction Gunn wanted, generating memes and an overall mixed response.
Zack Snyder hasn't shared his take on the reveal, but one of his longtime collaborators has.
Clay Staub served as an aerial second unit director on both versions of Justice League, was an additional second unit director on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and also collaborated with Snyder on 300 and Dawn of the Dead.
"Who thought this was the best option for a First Look?" he asked on X. "Really, I’m not joking, speaking solely from the layout perspective, the pose (pulling his boot on) making the suit chest and arms look bulky and rubbery. Btw are those Trunks we’re returning to, I’m asking for a friend?"

After first teasing the costume at the end of February, yesterday saw us finally get a proper look at David Corenswet's Man of Steel in DC Studios and James Gunn's Superman. Unfortunately, the response has been mixed.
That's typically the case with any suit reveal, but the image makes some noteworthy missteps in its presentation that have left some fans concerned with the creative direction of the Dcu.
In this feature, we take a look at those and what the image itself reveals about Superman. From a possible villain tease to the suit's finer, possibly McU-inspired finer details, we're breaking it down for you in as much detail as possible.
So, to find out what we've discovered, simply click on that "Next"/"View List" button below...

Earlier today, Warner Bros. and James Gunn shared a first look at David Corenswet fully suited up as the Dcu's Superman. Fans have had plenty to say about the costume and we're optimistic that a better shot will eventually follow.
After all, Kal-El hunched over in a chair with visible creases and loose-fitting parts of the suit surely aren't representative of what we'll see in theaters when Superman is released next summer. Well, here's hoping it's not, anyway.
Costume aside, when Corenswet - a relative unknown - was cast, many fans argued that he was too skinny to play the Man of Tomorrow.
If you still have any doubts, then we'd imagine the photo below will rid you of them. Corenswet's trainer has taken to Instagram to share a shot of the actor mid-workout and this guy is seriously jacked. He's got massive to play Superman and may even be...

Earlier today, DC Studios' co-ceo and Superman director James Gunn shared a first look at David Corenswet suited up as the Dcu's new Man of Tomorrow.
The response so far has been...mixed. Before we get to the suit, the image itself has raised eyebrows; rather than striking a heroic pose, Supes is sitting down in his incredibly expensive-looking apartment either removing or putting on his boot.
Meanwhile, a poorly CG'd explosion is taking place outside (is it AI?), a development the hero is either ignoring or hasn't noticed yet. It's a weird way to present our first look at the Dcu's Superman and arguably does the costume itself no favours.
Because he's sitting down, it's folded over in places and appears ill-fitting. Was this really the best way to present Corenswet's Superman to the world first the first time?
Gunn was clearly going for something here, though we're still struggling to figure out what.

The official trailer for "The Boys" season 4 just dropped, and it looks like some of the antiheroes in Prime Video's hit series are having a bit of an identity crisis. "Violence isn't brave," Jack Quaid's Hughie says at one point, noting that the titular kill squad should probably stop killing everyone if they actually want to save the world. Of course, in typical "The Boys" fashion, that nice sentiment is surrounded on all sides by violence: rooms full of dead bodies, a leg getting sawed off, and a guy going splat against a building, among other (gross) things.
That last kill will surely be of interest to fans of the series, as it's committed by Butcher's own stepson, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), who's now under the tutelage of his biological dad, weirdo supervillain Homelander (Antony Starr). After he seemingly explodes a guy against a building, Ryan is rewarded with...

Man of Steel was the movie that propelled Henry Cavill to global popularity, but even though he nailed the role of Superman/Clark Kent, he could not have done some of the emotional scenes without the help of his costars. The actor credits veteran stars Diane Lane and Kevin Costner for helping him out.
Henry Cavill in Man of Steel
The pair portrayed Jonathan and Martha Kent, the adoptive parents of Superman. As someone who has been in the industry longer than Cavill, they understand the difficulty of delivering tricky scenes, so they were both ready to assist the younger star.

During its existence, the DC Extended Universe (Dceu) gave rise to some historic blunders. My personal favorite was when Dwayne Johnson simply refused to accept that his "Black Adam" movie wasn't very good, but the ill-fated shared universe has a plethora of greatest hits when it comes to cinematic slip-ups, from the box office disappointment that was "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" to the box office bomb of super-heroic proportions that was "The Flash."
Look, it's extremely difficult to build a shared cinematic universe. Aside from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only action franchise that's really achieved anything of note in the last few years is the "John Wick" saga, and even that can't hope to match the historic highs of the MCU. So you can't really fault DC and Warner Bros. for failing to establish an enduring cinematic multiverse — though that hasn't stopped David Ayer from trying.

The Boys are back! Well, almost.
The Boys Season 4 will premiere on June 13, bringing back all the blood, gore, and drama we've come to expect from our anti-superheroes.
When we last saw them, The Boys -- and the world -- were in chaos.
Billy Butcher was terminally ill from using too much V24 to gain temporary superpowers, Soldier Boy was being held by the government, and Homelander had reconciled with his son Ryan.
For Season 4, we're hoping for answers. And a miracle that keeps Butcher alive.
But we'd also love to learn a little more about some of the characters we love or the ones we love to hate.
Here are some The Boys characters who deserve their own spotlight episode so we can get to know them better.
Hughie Campbell
Okay, hear us out. We know Hughie is a main character and the show has followed him from day one.

"Superman: Legacy" is shaping up to be a packed feature. We've known for some time that our new Supes will be played by "Pearl" co-star David Corenswet, while Lois Lane will be portrayed by "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" actress Rachel Brosnahan. But DC Studios co-head and writer/director of the upcoming film, James Gunn, has crammed a whole host of other characters into his reboot.
So far, we've had confirmation that Nicholas Hoult will be playing Lex Luthor, while Nathan Fillion will appear as a Green Lantern alongside Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl. But there's more. "Twilight" actor Edi Gathegi will play Mr. Terrific and there's every chance Gunn's brother Sean will appear following his casting in the new DC Universe as Maxwell Lord. That's a heck of a lot of significant supporting characters to cram into a reboot that also has the unenviable task of launching the all-new DC...

Though we might find ourselves overwhelmed by the sheer amount of streaming services available in the modern age, one platform remains king: Netflix. The streamer that started it all still boasts the most subscribers, which means that when TV shows and movies depart their hallowed servers, it's kind of a big deal.
Netflix is basically the closest thing we have to the monoculture that existed prior to the internet age, when home entertainment choices were limited and we pretty much all watched and discussed the same shows and movies. Now, despite the fact we're currently enduring a real tyranny of choice when it comes to our viewing options, when Netflix does anything you can bet that most people are paying attention — just look at the cultural phenomenon that was "Stranger Things 4" which managed to send Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" back to the top...

The iconic superhero of DC Comics, Superman has graced the silver screen in various incarnations, captivating audiences with each portrayal by actors like Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill, among others. Actors like Reeve and Cavill have garnered widespread acclaim for donning the red cape in classics like Superman and the redefined interpretation in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
Christopher Reeve as Superman
However, fans have now come to the realization that Reeve was able to do one thing that could have been missing from the other depictions of the superhero, which is his transformation from Kal-El to Clark Kent.
Christopher Reeve’s Seamless Transition From Kal-El to Clark Kent
Starting from the 1978 film, Christopher Reeve continued to portray Superman throughout the Superman film series. And the actor’s meticulous portrayal tackled the enduring question of how a mere pair of spectacles could effectively conceal Clark Kent’s identity as Superman.

It’s been a long hiatus for The Boys, but we finally have some clarity on when the Prime Video hit will be back on the air.
Hint: It’s soon!
After months of teases, the streaming service revealed Thursday that The Boys Season 4 will premiere Thursday, June 13.
We’re getting a three-episode drop, followed by one new episode weekly until the season finale on Thursday, July 18.
After so long off the air, we’d have liked all eight episodes on the premiere date, but the cadence isn’t that bad.
The world is in a different place when the R-rated superhero drama returns, with the streaming service describing it as “on the brink.”
Homelander and Victoria’s team-up could spell doom
Victoria’s (Claudia Doumit) pursuit of the Oval Office continues, and given her close association with Homelander (Antony Starr), it can only mean bad things for the good guys.

In 2022, after a decade of trying to keep up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and largely failing, Warner Bros. and DC decided a drastic course correction was required. The first step was to wind down the so-called DC Extended Universe or Dceu, and bid its chief architect, Zack Snyder, adieu. But even the shuttering of this ill-fated cinematic project proved to be a bit of a mess.
At the start of 2023, Warner Bros. found itself in the unenviable position of having announced the end of the Dceu with four movies tied to that on-screen universe still to release. Meanwhile, James Gunn and producer Peter Safran took over as co-heads of the newly-dubbed DC Studios and announced the DC Universe — a totally different project to the Dceu that may or may not have a few of the old characters popping up from time to time.

A teaser trailer for The Boys Season 4 was released this December, teasing what to expect from this group of sinister villains. The Prime Video hit prepares for its return after the first season of its hit spinoff series focused on the younger generation of Supes, Gen V. Homelander is still at the top of his game but is more evil than ever with his son by his side. He is bringing together a new team of The Seven, and with his human supporters, he feels unstoppable. Although there is no exact date of when The Boys Season 4 will arrive, there is...

Gather 'round fellow Supes and sickos, because "The Boys" are back in town for season 4. The smash-hit superhero satire series on Prime Video has been one of the streamer's greatest success stories, spawning the equally popular animated spin-off "Diabolical," and more recently, the college-set "Gen V." When we last saw the foul-mouthed heroes and villains (and everything in between) at the end of season 3, there were some massive shakeups happening. Homelander straight up killed a guy in front of a crowd to uproarious applause, Annie has given up her role as Starlight and has joined the Boys' mercenary group in an official capacity, and The Seven is in absolute shambles.
Fortunately, we already know we can expect two new Supes, Sister Sage and Firecracker. With Starlight out and Queen Maeve having faked her own death to live a life in obscurity with her partner Elena, it's about time we had...

Plenty of goodies are coming out of Ccxp in Brazil, a number of which center around projects that were affected by the ongoing Hollywood strikes. One such series is The Boys, the fourth season of which now has an official trailer.
The official X page for The Boys teased the trailer yesterday, posting, “About this time tomorrow, you’re gonna open this app to watch the S4 teaser trailer. It’s full of rainbows and butterflies. Who are we kidding, it’s full f*ckin’ madness after this first frame,” accompanied by a photo of Homelander (played by Anthony Starr). Expectedly, the trailer for the upcoming season of The Boys followed through.

Ccxp 2023 is cooking up some fun reveals for people with their fingers on the pulse of pop culture’s hottest films and television series, including The Boys, which gets a Season 4 teaser trailer tomorrow. A new image featuring Antony Starr’s Homelander is available online to excite fans for the upcoming preview. In the photo, Homelander’s back faces the camera while the character surveys a stately office with dim lighting. The locale looks like where shady deals transpire, from spinning stories for PR nightmare cover-ups to figuring out how to keep the public perception of Supes from getting out of control.

Matt Ramos, 22, was just 7 years old when the original “Iron Man” hit theaters. He was not the target audience for the film; nor was his Gen-z responsible for making Marvel and the MCU a cultural and box office behemoth.
But like the “Young Avengers” teased in “The Marvels,” Gen-z are the ones who will make or break the next decade of the MCU.
Today, Ramos has more than 3 million TikTok followers (he’s known there as “Supes”), influencing a passionate fan base consisting primarily of 16-24 year olds. For Ramos and his peers, Marvel fandom is alive and well.
“When the first ‘Iron Man’ came out, it was still not cool to be a Marvel fan. But then by the time ‘Avengers: Endgame’ came out in 2019, it was weird if you weren’t a Marvel fan,” Ramos told IndieWire. “For Marvel fans, there is that essential need. Because when a...

It has to be pretty bizarre working on the Prime Video series "The Boys" sometimes, especially when some of the weirder, grosser Supes come into play. There are Supes with scales, Supes with strange skin, and then, there's The Deep's gills. The Deep, played by Chace Crawford, is a riff on DC's Aquaman, and as a part of his powers, he has large gills on his abdomen that allow him to breathe underwater. Usually, we don't see the gills because he's dressed or in costume, and he's pretty shy about them, but there have been a few moments where The Deep's unique stomach appendages are on display, and they're freaky. They're apparently even pretty freaky when they're not attached to The Deep, as fellow star Laz Alonso discovered when he stumbled upon the prosthetics Crawford wears and curiosity got the better of him.

Superheroes are everywhere. But the truth is that most superhero stories on TV and film don't really matter. No matter how big the story seems, it doesn't feel like their respective universes change that much. Marvel characters have died, and big battles have been fought, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't look that different from how it was in the very first "Iron Man." This is to say, a show like "Gen V" makes for a refreshing change of pace.
"Gen V" is a spin-off of "The Boys" set at Godolkin University. The show follows a group of young would-be heroes trying to unravel the school's dark secret. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Gen V, Season 1, Episode 8, “Guardians of Godolkin.”] Gen V has delivered its first finale with plenty of shock and awe to keep viewers eager for both The Boys Season 4 and the recently announced second season of the Godolkin University-set spinoff. As Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) free the young Supes imprisoned in “The Woods” beneath Godolkin, all hell breaks loose as they go on a killing rampage, murdering any non-Supes they cross paths with a few becoming collateral damage along the way. While Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan (London Thor & Derek Luh), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) try to combat the sudden and dangerous situation, Vought’s Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) finds herself trapped with fellow board members amid the chaos. Eager to get the heck out of Godolkin, she calls upon the big bad of The Boys, Homelander (Antony Starr), to neutralize the situation after her desperate pleas to Godolkin’s ...

A teenage girl excuses herself from a family activity in the living room. When she gets to the bathroom, she discovers that she has begun puberty, a confusing and frightening situation for anyone. But matters get worse when the girl realizes she can control her blood, making it fly and move in the air.
When her loving mother, concerned that she’s experiencing the normal bodily changes of a young woman, knocks on the door, the girl freaks out. She sends a glob of blood at her mother, slicing her throat. When her father rushes in and asks what happened, the girl panics again and uses blood to kill her father. "The Boys" has been praised for the way showrunner Eric Kripke and the rest of the writers' room have successfully adapted Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's popular comic book series to more accurately reflect our constantly shifting cultural landscape. Many of the plot points and references are pulled straight from the headlines, with promises that the upcoming season 4 will directly tackle even more real-world themes. Considering season 3 ended with Homelander literally living out the claim of the twice-impeached, found legally liable for sexual abuse and defamation, and feloniously indicted former president Trump's statement "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," it certainly seems like the show is heading toward dissecting not only the people who will do anything to stop him but also those who have been dangerously radicalized by his actions.

Spoiler alert: This post contains plot details from the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.”
Antony Starr and Karl Urban — who star on Amazon’s Prime Video drama “The Boys” as Homelander and Billy Butcher, respectively — reprised their roles in the Season 1 finale of “Gen V.” And it turns out they were gracious enough to do it on their “day off” from filming as Homelander assists some fledgling supervillains and Billy ties the Supe virus storyline to “The Boys” Season 4.
“Of course with Homelander, we were always kicking around, ‘When do you want to see him?’ And, ‘When do you want to pull that card?’ Because it’s a rare thing, and we didn’t want to squander it,” “Gen V” showrunner Michele Fazekas told TheWrap of Starr’s cameo. “It had come up throughout the season, and then it just made sense as the sort of thing to happen in the finale.

Since "Gen V" premiered, it became amply clear that there was something nefarious about The Woods, which seemed like an open secret among the adults occupying the ranks in Vought. As for the young adults, the weight of the truth was too much to bear: Luke/Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) ended up dying by suicide due to the trauma of being mentally toyed with, while his brother Sam (Asa Germann) is currently unable to escape radical indoctrination despite being free. The others — Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Andre (Chance Perdomo), Jordan (London Thor/David Luh), Cate (Maddie Philips), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) — wrestle their inner demons over the course of the episodes, trying to help uncover the unsavory secrets that lie beneath Godolkin. Until one of them goes rogue.

Don't make promises you can't keep. That was a pivotal and emotionally-charged lesson learned by the Master Chief in the first-person shooter video game "Halo 2," which has absolutely nothing to do with the subject of this article beyond this painfully forced segue. But "The Boys" creator Eric Kripke has taken that same lesson to heart, as he's no longer sticking to his original plan for the most irreverent superhero series ever to grace the streaming airwaves. In short, expect "The Boys" to keep going for as long as the writers can justify the continuing adventures of Karl Urban's Billy Butcher, Antony Starr's vicious Homelander, and all the other fan-favorite misfits.

Supes have never been perfect in the world of "The Boys," and "Gen V" illustrates this further by zeroing in on the broken, messy lives of vulnerable teen Supes trapped under Vought's thumb. While "The Boys" illustrates the extremes of Supe megalomania, along with the shades of grey that exist within such power structures, "Gen V" paints its young Supes as innately human, in spite of their powers.
The series' focal point, Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) is a prime example of a young girl forced to make tough decisions to shield herself from further harm, as Marie's trauma only fuels her need to prove herself, and this path is littered with unsavory choices that are often immoral in nature. This does not make Marie or the other kids antiheroes — at least, not yet — as they're grappling with issues that make...

Jensen Ackles's Soldier Boy is still lurking about in the "Boys" universe. The gory, parody superhero show welcomed him to the Supe crew in season three, which aired in the summer of 2022, though he makes a brief, profanity-filled appearance in the spinoff series "Gen V"'s sixth episode, which debuted on Oct. 20. The Vought superhero is a twisted take on another classic American comic hero, who arrived to stir up an all-out war amongst the Boys and the Supes, both old and new, in "The Boys"'s third installment.
He's nearly killed in an explosion in the season three finale but survives, only to end up being shipped off to a new cryo-chamber by the CIA. Still, he exists in the "Gen V" timeline, this time, as an imaginary friend to Maddie Phillips's Cate.

This article contains spoilers for "Gen V" episode 5.
When the trailer for "Gen V" first dropped, social media was fluttering with inquiries regarding one specific blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment featuring what looked like a puppet slaughter. As a spin-off of "The Boys," audiences were already prepped for some serious suspension of disbelief. After all, this is a franchise where we've seen two different versions of wieners being exploded by Supes. This is all to say that the idea of a Supe having puppet powers doesn't even crack the top 10 weirdest things we've seen throughout "The Boys" universe, but anyone familiar with this world should know there's typically much more than meets the eye.
In "Gen V" episode 4, it's revealed that Sam (Asa Germann) — a Supe who has been used as a human lab rat by Vought International in a terrifying research facility (torture chamber) known as The Woods underneath Godolkin University — is plagued by visions of puppets.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Gen V Season 1 Episode 4 “The Whole Truth.”] Gen V is raising the stakes with each episode as the Supes at the center of this college-set tale become even more wrapped up in the shady doings of Godolkin University. After the death of Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger), the academic institution is paid a visit by investigator Tek Knight (Derek Wilson), who is sent by Vought to find a scapegoat for the late Supe’s downfall. When he surmises that there isn’t anyone good enough to pin the death on, he suggests attaching that guilt to Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn). Ultimately, his intention, as well as Vought’s, is to protect their secret operation known as “The Woods,” where Golden Boy’s brother Sam (Asa Germann) was being held until Emma (Lizze Broadway) helped him escape. Spoilers for "Gen V" follow.
As we've learned through three seasons of "The Boys," if you live in a universe filled with superheroes you should never, ever, have sex with them. They'll accidentally crush your skull during cunnilingus, or worse. It's not that they're bad people exactly; it's that they're not always as in control of their powers as you'd think. And if they spend most of their time among other Supes who can handle the occasional sex-related mishap, they can often forget how fragile a regular human body is.
But even when it comes to Supe-on-Supe sexual relationships, the power imbalance still causes plenty of trouble. When Homelander engaged in a sexual relationship with Doppelganger, a shapeshifter who could transform into his former lover Madeleine Stillwell at will, all it took was one wrong move for Homelander to end up snapping Doppelganger's neck. Even when the Supe isn't accidentally harming you,...

The latest "Gen V" episode, "The Whole Truth," has finally introduced a character often mentioned on the parent show "The Boys" — Tek-Knight/Robert Vernon (Derek Wilson), one of this world's many super "heroes." In this world, Supes are mostly just media stars and Tek-Knight is no different — in fact, he represents one of the most insidious forms of entertainment out there: true crime.
He is the host of "The Whole Truth with Tek-Knight" (streaming on Vought+) and for his latest episode, he's come to Godolkin University. He's there to teach some criminology classes and film an episode about Golden Boy's (Patrick Schwarzenegger) murder-suicide in the series premiere. Of course, he's not there out of any sense of justice, but as a simple tool for his bosses at Vought — his assignment is to pick a patsy and further cover up the truth.

This post contains spoilers for episode 4 of "Gen V."
Godolkin University, or GodU, harbors many unsavory secrets, but the most sinister cover-up so far is The Woods, an underground facility where young Supes are brutally experimented on. Even though "Gen V" has offered crumbs to help us gradually understand this covert project, there's a lot we don't comprehend yet, especially in relation to Sam (Asa Germann), who has now been rescued, thanks to Emma (Lizzy Broadway). Based on previous flashbacks and Sam's enraged outburst in the latest episode, it appears his superpower is brutal superstrength, which might have been augmented due to intense experimentation in The Woods.
Things take a darker turn when Sam is alone with Emma at the abandoned game parlor after their bloody escape from the underground facility. Having bonded with Emma, who gently assures Sam she will never abandon him, Sam is afraid of losing her.

This article contains spoilers for Gen V Episodes 1 – 3.
It’s completely understandable if you’re having trouble remembering what happened in the first three episodes of Gen V, the teen-set spin-off of superhero satire The Boys. After watching Emma aka Little Cricket (Lizzie Broadway) using her powers to appease a partner’s fantasies, everything else kind of falls away.
But like its parent series, Gen V has a lot more going on than just shocking sex and violence. By focusing on the next generation of Supes, the teens who received powers after being injected with Compound V as children, Gen V adds a layer of soapy drama to the social satire and superhero action.
When Does Gen V Episode 4 Premiere?
The fourth episode of Gen V comes to Amazon Prime Streaming on October 6, 2023. Unlike the first three episodes, which dropped at the same time, episode 4 will stand alone, as will...

Warner Bros' DC Comics franchise is in dire need of an industrial-grade fumigation. When Christopher Nolan peaced out with the wildly uneven "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012, the studio asked Zack Snyder to quarterback its DC Extended Universe answer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Avengers" initiative. Unfortunately, Snyder's "Man of Steel" not only fell short of commercial expectations, it cheesed off a sizable portion of the hero's fanbase (who were furious over Superman's out-of-character killing of General Zod). Rather than play the long game and focus on nailing the other main characters, DC panicked and greenlit "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," a cart-before-the-horse debacle that dampened reasonable people's expectations for a stirringly epic superhero saga.
Despite solo successes with 2017's "Wonder Woman" and 2018's "Aquaman," the stink clung to Snyder's "Justice League." A family tragedy forced him to leave the calling-all-superheroes production, and his replacement, Joss Whedon, could not...
