Amyl and the Sniffers have proven to be one of the most exhilarating bands to emerge over the past decade, and their new single “U Should Not Be Doing That” does nothing to temper the excitement. The raucous song and its B-side “Facts” serve as the first new music from the Australian pub-rockers since 2021.
“U Should Not Be Doing That” is being released physically as a 7-inch vinyl single along with “Facts.” The physical edition is due June 28th (pre-order here), but both songs and the music video for “U Should Not Be Doing That” can be streamed now.

Foo Fighters kicked off their 2024 tour (get tickets here) on Wednesday, May 1st at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas, and paid tribute to hometown hero Dimebag Darrell during the show. Fittingly, Dave Grohl dedicated “My Hero” to the late Pantera guitarist.
In fan-filmed video (watch below), Grohl starts playing “My Hero” on guitar and addresses the crowd: “This one’s for everybody. Actually, you know what, since we’re here in Dallas, I’m gonna dedicate this one to an old friend. He lived around here. His name is Dimebag Darrell. How ’bout that? We’ll sing it for Darrell.”

H.E.R. has released a studio “reinterpretation” of Foo Fighters’ “The Glass,” just three weeks after the two artists performed the song together on Saturday Night Live. The new cover — a “solo” studio recording by H.E.R. — is paired with the original Foo Fighters version for a double A-side single, out today.
“The Glass” originally debuted this past June as the fifth single from Foo Fighters’ latest album, But Here We Are. In October, when the band appeared on Saturday Night Live for the ninth time, they performed it with help from H.E.R., who provided vocals and guitar. Now, H.E.R.’s take on the song has arrived, and trades the hard-hitting rock arrangement of the original for a gentler, ethereal soundscape, with reverberating guitars and layered vocal harmonies. Stream it below.
In addition to being available on streaming services, the double A-side single will be offered on a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl,...

boygenius staged a special Halloween show at the Hollywood Bowl, which included a surprise appearance from Dave Grohl.
The Foo Fighters frontman, wearing corpse paint, joined boygenius on drums for a performance of “Satanist.” For their part, Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker, and Phoebe Bridgers were dressed up as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, respectively.
Tuesday’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl marked boygenius’ final scheduled tour date in support of their debut album, the record. However, they still have one more live performance on the calendar, as they’re set to appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s November 11th episode with host Timothée Chalamet.
Grohl’s Foo Fighters just made their own appearance on SNL, where they performed “Rescued” and The Glass.” Next summer, they’ll embark on a North American summer tour alongside a rotating cast of support acts including The Hives, The Pretenders,...

For Foo Fighters’ ninth time as musical guest on Saturday Night Live, Dave Grohl and company harkened back to what’s now their most viral SNL appearance as Christopher Walken – making his first SNL cameo in 15 years – introduced the band.
Walken’s presence was significant as, in a now-viral Radio X interview, Grohl shared a long and hilarious story about a time Foo Fighters played SNL and were introduced by Walken, who pronounced the band “Foo FIGHTers,” leading to Grohl’s hilarious and near-perfect impression of the actor:
