Her father was Rudolf Höss, the camp’s commandant. He was arrested by the Jewish great-uncle of the writer Thomas Harding, to whom Brigitte gave this, her final interview – and confession
It was the morning of 16 December 2021, a week before Christmas. Across from me sat Brigitte, the daughter of Rudolf Höss, the commandant of Auschwitz. I was here to ask what life was like next to the camp.
Brigitte was 88 years old. With pale lips, thin arms and wisps of white hair, she was frailer than she had been the last time I saw her. Her voice was weaker too, her speech more languid and halting. But she was still able to think clearly and her eyes still sparkled with life.

2004 was an odd year for horror films. We got masterpieces, we were gifted some of the best and worst so-bad-it’s-good films and unexpected sequels seemed to come out of left field regularly and one of those is what we’ll focus on today. With its lead from the first film dead, where could a sequel possibly go? Would they dare to introduce brand new characters, or would they continue the story of the Fitzgerald sisters? Join us on JoBlo Horror Originals as we revisit Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed (watch it Here).
Coming out 4 years after the original, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed takes a turn for the darker side, or even darker side. Brigitte Fitzgerald survives the ordeal with her sister but in the process tasted her sister’s blood. So, like her sister, she starts turning into a werewolf. However, she’s one step ahead in that she...

In the series, Raël: Alien Prophet, the third episode, The American Dream shows how Raël advocates for human cloning in America alongside biochemist Brigitte Boisselier. The purported birth of “Eve” in 2002 sparked intense legal and media scrutiny. Raël’s lobbying efforts for human cloning, combined with the controversial claim of Eve’s birth, became focal points, leading to heightened attention from both legal authorities and the media. The episode delves into the complexities and consequences of these events, examining the intersection of scientific ambition, ethical considerations, and societal reactions within the American context.
Spoilers Ahead
How Was The Cloning Process First Put Into Action?
The cloning process was initiated when Raël, the leader of the Raëlian movement, lobbied for human cloning in America. Biochemist Brigitte Boisselier, a dedicated Raëlian, took on the mission of human cloning after experiencing personal loss and recognizing the legal constraints in France, where expressing support...

Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” is a movie that French people love to hate. But despite harsh criticism in France, the historical epic smashed the box office and grossed over $9.76 million from 1.15 million tickets sold in its first two weeks in theaters.
Ironically, “Napoleon” got the lowest score of all of Scott’s recent movies on Allociné, the local equivalent of IMDb, with 2.3 stars out of 5 from 4,659 users’ reviews, yet it’s one of Scott’s biggest hits in France. “Napoleon,” starring Joaquin Phoenix as Napoléon Bonaparte, a Corsica-born officer who became Emperor of France, and Vanessa Kirby as his wife as Joséphine de Beauharnais, world premiered in Paris on Nov. 14, a few days after the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Scott’s last two movies, “The Last Duel” and “House of Gucci,” were warmly reviewed in France, and yet they sold only 425,000 and 800,000 tickets respectively during their releases there.

White House Alters State Dinner Plans Due To World Crises; The B-52s Will No Longer Perform — Update
Update: First Lady Jill Biden said that The B-52s will no longer perform at the White House State Dinner on Wednesday, and that guests instead will listen to music from the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band and the Army and Air Force Strolling Strings.
The change — from the relentlessly upbeat B-52s to the more sedate instrumental music — was made given the multiple crises in the world, Biden said.
“While we had initially planned for legendary B-52s to perform their iconic dance and party music, we are now in a time when so many are facing sorrow and pain, so we made a few adjustments to the entertainment portion of the evening,” Jill Biden said.
The dinner will be for Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and partner Jodie Haydon. Biden said that The B-52s will still attend the event.

The first week of October is officially here, so it’s full steam ahead on the Halloween season from here on out. This week’s streaming picks embrace spooky season festivities by centering on holiday-themed horror movies that feature Halloween parties as their slaying grounds.
Some of these horror movies bring the fun, while others aim to spike your adrenaline. But all use Halloween parties as a centerpiece for the horror that’s unleashed within.
Here’s where you can stream them this week.

Cemetery of Terror – AMC+, Shudder
Rubén Galindo Jr.’s most prominent horror feature is the American-influenced Don’t Panic (available on Shudder), but the Halloween-centric Cemetery of Terror offers the most fun. A trio of college kids decides to impress their ladies by stealing a body from a morgue for a Halloween prank and party in an abandoned house.

Cyberpunk 2077’s first (and only) Dlc, Phantom Liberty, is finally here. It’s been a long three years, but the wait is finally over. Plus, the game recently received a facelift that reinvigorated numerous mechanics and systems, which is a huge boon. While the Dlc adds new missions, weapons, and rides, the main draw is its new questline, which takes place in an equally new section of Night City, Dogtown.
If we could sum up the narrative of Phantom Liberty, it would be Ghost in the Shell meets Escape from New York, starring Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves. Sounds fun, right? You probably want to start this mission as soon as you can. Well, here’s how.
Technically, you don’t have to do anything too out of the ordinary to unlock Phantom Liberty’s content. The only requirement, aside from owning the Dlc, is completing the main story mission “Transmission,...

To mark the 25th anniversary of the “Harry Potter” books being published in the U.S., the Empire State Building is set to be lit up in Hogwarts house colors at sunset on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Viewers outside of New York can watch the building’s Tower Lights shine red for Gryffindor, yellow for Hufflepuff, blue for Ravenclaw and green for Slytherin on the Empire State’s live cam. For those in New York, there will be a magical pop-up cart on the 86th Floor Observation Deck where fans will be able to pick up free copies of the book and bottles of Butterbeer. Costumes and wizard robes are encouraged.

The 2000 film Ginger Snaps (watch it Here) is my all-time favorite werewolf movie. That was followed by a sequel – Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed – and a very unexpected prequel – Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning – and while I’m not as enamored with them as I am with the original movie, I do get some enjoyment out of watching them. The oddball prequel especially. If you’re a fan of Ginger Snaps trilogy as well and happen to have a Region B (or region free) Blu-ray player, you’ll be glad to hear that Second Sight Films is packaging all three movies together in a limited edition UK box set that’s going to be released on October 30th. Just in time for Halloween, which happens to be the setting of the first movie.
Copies of the Ginger Snaps trilogy Blu-ray box set can be pre-ordered directly from Second Sight Films.

George Harrison met John Lennon through Paul McCartney. McCartney suggested Harrison join their band, the Quarrymen, and Lennon reluctantly agreed. He believed Harrison was too young and would ruin their band’s image. Eventually, though, he grew to respect his younger bandmate. Harrison said this happened after he kissed a girl who looked like Brigitte Bardot.
George Harrison shared the moment he felt he gained John Lennon’s respect
Harrison looked up to Lennon, but Lennon didn’t give him the same respect. That is, until Harrison kissed a girl who looked like Bardot. Lennon had long harbored a crush on the French actor, to the point that he asked his girlfriends to try to look more like her.
“Of course, as a teenager, my sexual fantasies were full of Anita Ekberg and the usual giant Nordic goddesses,” Lennon said in The Beatles Anthology. “That is, until Brigitte Bardot became...

While HBO Max may now be Max, there are still loads of new films to watch on the streaming service. From the early hits of now young adult actors and actresses like Dakota Fanning and Jaden Smith to one of Will Smith’s emotional movies and the 2020 Best Picture Oscar winner “Parasite,” there are options for all sorts of audiences, even the superhero-loving ones.
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” lands on the streamer after being released in theaters in March. The Max rebrand preceded Sydney Sweeney’s next project “Reality,” the television movie taken from an FBI transcript. A campy take on the story of Snow White is available to stream as well.
Here are seven of the best new movies to watch on Max in May.

"Rocky IV" was my favorite movie in the franchise as an '80s kid, although the death of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) was tough to take. We knew something bad was going to happen when the showboating former champ stepped into the ring against Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), but the brutal manner in which he got destroyed was shocking. The way Apollo was left twitching on the canvas as his life ebbed away was deeply upsetting, made even worse by Drago's stone-cold delivery verdict: "If he dies, he dies."
Nowadays, the film only comes fourth in my overall assessment of the series. When you take a step back from the nostalgia and the irresistibly cheesy bombast, only two things happen in the movie. Apollo dies, then Rocky gets payback by beating the Russian fighter in his own yard. Big events, admittedly, but the rest is just filler, a mixture of...

Brigitte Macron, France’s First Lady, Loses Lawsuit Against YouTubers Who Claimed She Was Born A Man
On December 10, 2021, two women, one identifying as a “medium” and the other as an “independent journalist,” posted a video on YouTube, claiming that France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, 69, was born male at birth and transitioned at 18.
On February 15, 2022, Macron issued a complaint against the women, claiming it was an invasion of privacy and image rights. She wanted the video to be taken down and payment of damages the video caused.
In Memoriam 2022: 100 Great Celebrities Who Died In 2022
The complaint was voided by the court on March 7, citing the complaint should have been filed as public defamation instead of an invasion of privacy and image.
The video went viral around the time Macron’s husband, Emmanuel Macron, 45, was running in France’s 2022 presidential election. Despite any negative press that might have arisen, Emmanuel won re-election to a second term.
However, another scandal came to light surrounding Brigitte and Emmanuel’s relationship.
