After Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall powered its way to five Oscar nominations, it was a common feeling that the film’s Mvp was short-changed on the big night. Though the film went home with Best Original Screenplay, Messi — the seven-year-old border collie who plays Snoop, the family dog who becomes an integral part of the courtroom drama — was not so lucky, returning empty-pawed to his native Paris. Not that he was an ungracious loser; a clip of the hound applauding Robert Downey Jr.’s win for Oppenheimer went viral, not least because it brought a huge spontaneous smile to the face of Barbie’s Ryan Gosling.
Being modest, Messi downplayed the fact that earlier in the day he had stolen the show at the Fido Awards in London, an awards ceremony that recognizes the work put in by canine thespians from around the world. From the same...

The coronation of King Charles III took place on Saturday. The Dean of Westminster poured holy oil onto the Coronation Spoon. Afterward, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby anointed Charles on his head, breast and hands.
Welby then placed St. Edward’s Crown on Charles’ head and exclaimed, “God Save the King,” followed by everyone in attendance.
Camilla, Charles’ wife, was also crowned as Queen. She was similarly anointed with holy oil by Welby and had Queen Mary’s Crown placed on her head. Camilla’s coronation dress was a combination of silver, gold and ivory created by British fashion designer Bruce Oldfield. It was tailored from a silk fabric called Peau de Soie and formed into a coat dress shape.

Royal and fashion expert Miranda Holder spoke to Express about what she thinks we won’t see the princess wearing to the coronation.
Holder noted that Kate “has remained formal to her tried and tested fashion formula of a coat dress or skirt suit in her signature fitted silhouette, complemented with nude heels with hat and symbolic jewelry.”
However, the princess has shown a new go-to style lately.

It’s been two decades since her death, and the mark she left on the fashion world is clearly significant. Now, another staple piece from the princess is becoming popular among bloggers and influencers around the world: a blouse with dramatic shoulders and black-and-white polka dots.

The actor, starring as the agent for a third time, said he was "incredibly proud" to once more be playing the suave hero created by Ian Fleming, who first appeared on the big screen in Dr No in 1962.
"I've never been to a premiere like this, it's incredible," he said as he arrived at the venue, where guests filed past a huge gold 007 logo and a classic Aston Martin.

The world's best-kept secret is finally out! Hrh the Duchess of Cambridge walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey Friday morning in a stunning Alexander McQueen wedding gown. Fashion designer Nicki MacFarlane has been handed the honour of dressing Kate Middleton's bridesmaids for the royal wedding in London on Friday.
Details about dress designs for the bride-to-be have been a closely-guarded secret ever since the couple announced its engagement last year, but, on the eve of the big day, it has emerged the Brit has been selected to create gowns for the bridal party.
Middleton's sister Pippa will lead four other bridesmaids down the aisle at Westminster Abbey in custom-made Macfarlane outfits.
However, the bride-to-be has continued to keep fashion watchers guessing about whose creation she will wear when she exchanges vows with Prince William.
British designer Sophie Cranston's fashion house Libelula dismissed speculation the company had been commissioned to create Middleton's wedding dress, while Bruce Oldfield and Sarah Buxton, the creative director of late fashion king Alexander McQueen's label, have also been linked to the royal gown, which was designed and created at Buckingham Palace under royal watch.
Meanwhile, Alberta Ferretti has designed a dress for Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsea Davy and Armani fashion chiefs have created a gown for Lady Frederick Windsor.

While it seems like a new name is added in to the mix every day, there’s one designer we can officially cross off the list!
Early on, many people speculated that Kate Middleton would walk down the aisle on her wedding day wearing a gorgeous Bruce Oldfield gown — but with less than 24 hours til the Royal Wedding the designer admitted that he did not design the dress!
“It has been such a subject of rumour and speculation over the past months, but I am not designing it,” Oldfield told Vogue UK. “We will all know tomorrow – and I thought I’d duck out of the ‘possibles list’ to give everyone 24 hours to place their final bets!”
“Catherine will undoubtedly look spectacular,” he said. “She has a fantastic figure and knows well what suits her. I shall be intrigued to see her choice of design.”...

Publishers for British designer Sophie Cranston's fashion house Libelula have dismissed reports suggesting the company has been commissioned to create Kate Middleton's wedding gown.
News website TheHuffingtonPost.com broke the Cranston story earlier this week (beg18Apr11) and correspondent Yvonne Yorke appeared on TV show Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday insisting she was 100 per cent sure her facts were right.
But on Thursday, a Libelula spokesperson released a statement, insisting the company had not been asked to design the royal wedding dress, which Middleton will wear when she exchanges vows with Prince William on 29 April.
The statement reads, "For the purpose of clarification, we are not designing Kate Middleton's wedding dress. We, like everyone else, can't wait to find out who is."
Designer Bruce Oldfield and Sarah Buxton, the creative director of late fashion king Alexander McQueen's company, have also been linked to the royal gown.

Another day, another designer name is thrown into the mix — but this time the gal behind the gown is being identified as Kate herself! Do you think the bride-to-be designed her own dress?
The Royal Wedding is getting closer, and every day another outlet has a new report on which designer has been chosen to craft Kate Middleton‘s wedding dress — but the latest news is naming Kate as the designer! According to the Daily Mail, the 29-year-old started creating the dress herself before she went to a dressmaker.
According to the outlet, the dress is ivory satin and lace with pearl button detailing and a 10ft train. “According to one impeccably-placed source, Kate has taken inspiration from her History of Art degree – particularly the Renaissance period, as she studied in Florence during her gap year.

London, England, United Kingdom (Ahn Entertainment) - Looks like those bookies had bets and odds favoring soon-to-be princess Kate Middleton's wedding dress designer all wrong. Reports have emerged that Sophie Cranston of Libélula is designing the royal wedding dress.
But, who is Cranston? Middleton, often a fan of lesser-known designers, is a fan of Cranston. The bride-to-be previously wore the label to the wedding of Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Sarah Louise Stourton in January, choosing a vintage-inspired velvet dress coat. The 34-year-old designer worked at Alexander McQueen and Temperley before launching her own label in 2002.
The bridesmaids dresses will be designed by a different designer, Nicki Macfarlane, the Sunday Times reports. Macfarlane has been designing children's clothes for more than 30 years, but has developed an expertise in bridesmaid and flower girl dresses for the past six years. Macfarlane's dresses are made exclusively from silk, satin, organza, taffeta and chiffon and come...

A source for People.com reports that Kate has in fact picked the designer who will be making her wedding dress, but she is keeping it quiet. Rumor has it the designer may be Bruce Oldfield, because Kate's mom Carole and sister Pippa were spotted going to his London store. A palace spokesperson commented to People on the dress gossip, saying, "It's Miss Middleton's intention to keep the dress a secret for her bridegroom on their wedding day, as is every bride's prerogative." Kate is to say "I do" to Prince William on April 29.

Kate Middleton has reportedly chosen British designer Bruce Oldfield to create her wedding dress. There had been speculation the 28-year-old future queen, who is set to marry Prince William on April 29, would choose her favorite label Issa to design the gown but designer Ben de Lisi is adamant Bruce has been handed the task.
"There are lots of rumors, but I've heard it is Bruce Oldfield," he told Telegraph newspaper. "I'm absolutely certain I won't get chosen; I'm sure I'm not in the running."

We’ve selected some of the top British designers we think the recently engaged gal should wear when she says ‘I Do’!
While of course the location, menu, and flowers are important, nothing about a wedding makes me as excited as the dress — especially when we’re talking about a royal wedding! Now that Prince William asked his long-term girlfriend, Kate Middleton, to marry him there’s so much speculation about what the bride-to-be will wear on the big day. While I’m positive she’ll choose a British designer, will she go for something conservative, simple, or outlandish? We’ve narrowed the list down to six designers, but who do you think she should wear?
Ultimately, I think the late Alexander McQueen would’ve loved the opportunity, but here’s who I think she might wear when she says ‘I Do.’ First, off, there’s Elizabeth Emanuel, the designer...

Lady Kitty Spencer, the 19-year-old niece of the late Diana, Princess of Wales hopes to work at Vanity Fair when she completes her studies in psychology, politics, and English literature at a university in Capetown, South Africa. A word of advice to the Lady: don't take out a Facebook ad. Of course, Kitty's father, Charles Spencer, Ninth Earl of Spencer, wrote an article for the magazine earlier this year. The Earl had hoped his daughter might transfer to an Oxford college, but the Lady pooh-poohed his request, insisting she not become a geek. She looked anything but in December at the Crillon Ball, where she dazzled in Bruce Oldfield, one of her late aunt's favorite designers.
