In their new exclusive uInterview, Swv (Sisters With Voices) speak about their tour with the groups Jodeci and Dru Hill and their secrets to a successful tour.
The three women, Taj Johnson-George, Lelee Lyons and Coko Gamble, all agreed that the best way to ensure that the tour goes smoothly is to make sure that there are a lot of “Chick-fil-a and pajama parties.”
Johnson-George also shared that it is vital to stick “with the course and grow with it,” which, she admits, is “just such a blessing to be able to stay in this industry to even be able to say 31 years.” The two other ladies agreed with this, nodding their heads. She added, “We can’t even tell you what we did we just know we’ve been living and going.”

It was April 1992. Euro Disneyland would open its doors in Paris, France; a jury would acquit four police officers in the beating of Rodney King, setting off six days of massive rioting in Los Angeles; and producer Teddy Riley would put the finishing touches on the debut album of a brand new girl group called Swv.
The music scene was a mash up of Grunge, characterized by bands like Nirvana; pop, brought to the masses by boy groups like New Kids on the Block; and New Jack Swing, the sweet spot for dancing, crooning heartthrobs like Guy.
Twenty years later, music is "busy and lyrically it seems young," says Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George, one of the three Sisters With Voices (Swv) whose new album, "I Missed Us," hopes to bring back the love-inspired sounds that catapulted them to the top of the 90s music charts and into an indelible spot in R&B history.

Joining the recently reunited 2 Live Crew as one the most random reunions in the last decade is the recent announcement that R&B divas Swv are plotting a comeback with a new single, “Co-Sign.” Swv (which stands for Sisters With Voices, duh?) disbanded back in the late '90s, but the ladies are ready to give it another shot in 2012 with a new album, I Missed Us, set to drop this April.
Swv have been attempting a comeback for quite some time – since 2005 the group has toured (with the likes of Blackstreet and New Edition) and said they were working on a new album; however, with the release of an official single, this new effort finally seems like the real deal. In 2008, they made a special appearance at the Bet Awards, where they performed their hit “Weak” with the help of Alicia Keys.
