Raleigh, North Carolina’s Hopscotch Music Festival has revealed their 2024 lineup with St. Vincent, Faye Webster, and Waxahatchee topping the bill.
Taking place from September 5th-7th, the independent music festival will also feature The Jesus Lizard, Jpegmafia, Snail Mail, Badbadnotgood, Guided By Voices, The dBs, Wednesday, Mj Lenderman, Indigo De Souza, Chicano Batman, feeble little horse, Amen Dunes, Hovvdy, Boldy James, Wishy, and more.

Horse Jumper of Love are back with the announcement of their new studio album, Disaster Trick, due on August 16th via Run For Cover Records.
Disaster Trick was recorded with producer Alex Farrar, and marks the first full-length release from Horse Jumper of Love since frontman Dimitri Giannopoulos got sober. “This was the first album I’ve ever done where I went into it with a very clear mind,” he said in a statement. “In the past, we would just show up at a studio, drink, and record. Here, everything felt purposeful.”

Tyler Childers and Sierra Ferrell are the leading nominees at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards. The Appalachia-reared musicians each scored three nominations — including Album, Song, and Artist of the Year — when the categories were announced on Tuesday at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville.

CBS’ 11:35 p.m. late-night offering averaged 2,332,000 total viewers and 259,000 P18-49 viewers this past Tuesday. In addition to being No. 1 in both measurements, Late Show gained +9% in total viewers and +16% in P18-49 viewers from the day before. The program was also up +66% in total viewers and +31% in P18-49 viewers from the previous Tuesday, when the Late Show aired a repeat.

Waxahatchee took the stage at The Late Show to perform her folk-tinged song “Right Back to It.” The musician, Katie Crutchfield, was joined by her band and collaborator Mj Lenderman, who was part of her most recent LP, Tigers Blood.
“Right Back to It” appears on the album and was originally released in January as the LP’s flagship single. The song was written in June 2022, when Crutchfield was backstage at Virginia’s Wolf Trap opening for Sheryl Crow and Jason Isbell.
