Blew out his knee playing the Scarecrow in a stage version of The Wizard of Oz. He did 7 more performances with a torn meniscus, not able to put weight on his leg. No one could tell that he was hurt due to the wobbly and unsteady nature of the character.
Grandson of famous Hollywood marquee artist, Boyd Vaughan. As well as posters for many famous films in the 30's, 40's and 50's, Vaughan is the artist responsible for the Columbia Pictures logo.
Has his own production company, Stainless Films.
He worked at a Best Buy in the home theater department during the filming of his first lead role in a feature film, The Sandman. He would often put on a DVD of the film on the giant wall of TV's, then stand in front of them while helping customers. He said the faces people made when they realized he was on the televisions behind him were hilarious.
Is an accomplished stage and musical theater actor. He has starred in numerous plays, including Annie, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Boeing Boeing, A Midsummer Nights Dream and The Wizard of Oz.
