David was born in Alameda, California, raised in the East San
Francisco Bay and later moved to Mendocino County, where he appeared
in his first professional acting job as a young teen in a series of
Yamaha commercials in the early 1970s, with Patsy Garrett.
In 1975-6, he moved to Southern California where he auditioned and was
accepted into the first class of what is now known as the LACC "Theatre
Academy", for their acting program.
He has appeared in several Equity waiver plays and currently directs,
edits and produces independent projects at his home in Studio City.
David has also hosted numerous acting classes and workshops at his home
studio with acting coaches, Al Ruscio and Alan Vint.
After a long career in software development working for companies like
Columbia Pictures, Technicolor and Entertainment Partners (where he
worked as a member of the development team on Vista, the location
accounting package), David turned his eye to film making and has since,
made a career change to full-time film making.
As a certified Avid and ProTools editor, he has also worked as an Avid
service rep, building, repairing and installing Avid systems for
numerous post-production facilities in the Hollywood area.
