Exclusive: MasterChef is back in production on Season 11. Filming on the popular Fox food competition series resumed in Los Angeles on Monday, October 26, following a seven-month Covid-19-related shutdown. MasterChef had shot 10 of its 18 Season 11 episodes when production came to a halt in mid-March due to the corovavirus pandemic.
The show, which is produced by Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato, is following guidelines set by local and state officials, as well as the CDC, in its return to production.
“The safety of the entire cast and crew has and is the number one priority,” producers said in a statement. “Given the Covid-19 restrictions placed on production, we are creating new and innovative ways to produce the series, while honoring its creative spirit. The behind-the-scenes culinary team, which has always followed all health department guidelines, is now taking additional precautions including wearing gloves, masks and face shields/goggles.

Exclusive: Fox’s food competition format MasterChef was forced to shut down in March having filmed half of its 11th season.
The show, which is produced by Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato, is now eyeing an October return to filming.
Deadline understands that the current plan is for production to pick back up around mid-to-late October. This would hopefully allow star and executive producer Gordon Ramsay, one of the judges, to return to LA from his home in the UK. As to be expected with all shows, this schedule remains flexible depending on the impact of the virus over the next few months.
The show, which will feature 18 episodes, will be produced with health and safety protocols front and center. Crew will wear PPE equipment and there will be the, now standard, Covid-19 testing and social distancing.

Fitness expert Bob Harper spent a dozen years training contestants to lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time on the original, NBC incarnation of “The Biggest Loser,” a show he calls “the O.G. fitness reality series.” But in 2017 he suffered a major heart attack that had him rethinking his approach to exercise. So when he received a call from the producers of the new, USA version of “The Biggest Loser,” he had questions about what their approach would be, given the way fitness is discussed has evolved in the few years since the show went off the air. Ultimately, it was the idea that they would bring his health issues directly into the show that made him want to step back onto the campus: Confronting how important it is to be healthy, not just thin, was relatable to him and, he hopes, everyone who came...

The battle for kitchen supremacy is heating up in the UK after Channel 4 began developing a remake of Endemol Shine’s cooking format Family Food Fight.
The broadcaster is developing its own UK version of the Australian format, which was originally produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Nine Network. The show has already been picked up in the U.S. where restaurateur and cookbook author Ayesha Curry will host an adaptation for ABC.
The show sees a range of families going head-to-head in a series of cooking challenges inspired by real home cooking to win a prize of $100,000.
Family Food Fight UK is being developed by Endemol Shine’s production company Remarkable Television, which produces series such as BBC One entertainment format All Together Now, long-running format Pointless and Channel 4’s The £100K Drop.

ABC has given a greenlight to cooking-competition series “Family Food Fight” from Endemol Shine North America. Based on the Australian format of the same name, the show will pit eight families from across the United States against each other in a battle to determine which is the country’s top food family. Restaurateur and cookbook author Ayesha Curry will serve as host of the show.
Putting regional cooking on display, “Family Food Fight” will see competing families vie for a grand prize of $100,000. No premiere date has yet been set.
Curry had previously served as co-host of ABC’s “The Great American Baking Show,” which was abruptly canceled by ABC last year after abuse allegations against judge Johnny Iuzzini surfaced. A former actress and the wife of Golden State Warriors basketball star Stephen Curry, she also previously hosted the show “Ayesha’s Homemade” for The Food Network.

ABC has acquired rights to Family Food Fight, a culinary competition series based on an Aussie format from Endemol Shine Australia. The network will air eight episodes, with a date to be announced. Restaurateur and cookbook author Ayesha Curry will host, and judges will be unveiled at a later date.
The series features eight families competing against one another using their own recipes to vie for the title of “America’s No. 1 Food Family,” with the winner taking home a $100,000 prize. ABC said the show will “focus on relatable, yet aspirational, home-cooked meals, inspiring budding home cooks across the nation to don their aprons and get into the kitchen together.”

We’ve seen him save the world as Captain Jack Harkness on Torchwood, get caught up in the frenetic worlds of Desperate Housewives and Scandal, and of late he’s been deliciously chewing the scenerey as the evil Malcolm Merlyn on Arrow.
This summer he’s hosting the new celebrity reality singing competition, Sing Your Face Off. In the series, celebrities like Lisa Rinna, Jon Lovitz, Sebastian Bach, China Anne McClain and Landry Fields transform themselves into famous singers like Dolly Parton, Britney Spears, Willie Nelson and Tina Turner and, from what Barrowman told us earlier this week, viewers will be surprised at the results.
We recently spoke with Barrowman about the new show, his upcoming CD and of course Arrow, where he’ll be a series regular this fall.

At first blush, I’d definitely stand up high upon a soap box and tell the world that we really don’t need another reality singing competition. Isn’t viewership way down on the big ones anyway? What can anybody do to make vocal contests more interesting? Add John Barrowman? Say what!? Now you’ve got my attention Sing Your Face Off.
Is it April Fool’s Day? Sing Your Face Off can’t be a real series title. And yet, EW confirms that ABC has signed judges, cast and a host for the new competition series.
Before you ask me if Barrowman, star Torchwood and Arrow can sing, let me explain something, Barrowman has signed on to host the series. The guy is so talented that I wouldn’t be surprised if he could sing anyway.

NBC has become the second broadcast network to announce their plans for the summer of 2011. On the Peacock's agenda are new seasons of America's Got Talent and The Marriage Ref, as well as new reality shows The Voice, It's Worth That? (think The Price is Right meets Pawn Stars), Still Standing (a trivia show), and Love in the Wild (basically The Bachelor meets Survivor). Additionally, NBC will continue to air new episodes of newly revamped Law & Order: La, along with the final seasons of Friday Night Lights and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
There's no mention of Love Bites, Friends with Benefits, or The Paul Reiser Show, so we can safely say that none of the three will be seeing the light of day anytime soon. You can check the press release below for dates and times of the shows that NBC will be airing this summer.
