- TriviaFormer starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins. He is to this day probably best known for a strange on-field incident in 1997. After tossing a touchdown pass in a home game against the New York Giants, he got so excited that after congratulating his teammates, he proceeded to head butt the stadium wall. Frerotte had gotten caught up in the excitement of the moment and also thought that it would be safe, since the wall appeared to be padded. Unfortantely, the wall consisted of reinforced concrete backed up by only a half inch of foam. He suffered an injury as a result of the head butt and needed to leave the game in order to go to the hospital - just before halftime. His team ended up tying the New York Giants 7-7 after overtime. Frerotte, despite being a nice guy with a clean off-the-field image, has never been able to completely live the incident down ... when he has returned to Washington, fans have greeted him with posters of bulls-eyes.
