- From the day I first visited my GP with a lump in my breast, to the moment I was finally diagnosed with breast cancer, three long months elapsed. In that times I was misdiagnosed twice, had given birth to my daughter Gigi and was unwittingly breast feeding. When I was eventually diagnosed with breast cancer, the tumour had already spread to my lymph nodes. To this day I have no idea if those months made the difference between my cancer spreading. But I can't help but wonder.
- On the day I started to lose my hair from the chemo, I was changing (my daughter's) nappy and she reached up and stroked my head. She gave me such strength through the toughest of times.
