- Jeffrey Scott Kennedy is an American actor, writer and producer. He is best known for playing the Captain of the Poughkeepsie State Flying Cougars in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Jeff has also appeared in various television shows including One on One, Passions, Las Vegas, Cavemen, Kath & Kim and Vanished. In 2006, Jeff served as a Producer on the award-winning short film Twilight's Grace. He is also the writer and creator of the award-winning feature film screenplay Totem. Jeff serves as Managing Partner for Irish Rover Entertainment, a Los Angeles based production company specializing in the financing and development of various intellectual properties.
Jeff was born in South Bend, Indiana. He is of Irish descent. His father Machiel (Mike) and mother Janet Elkins raised Jeff and his two younger sisters in South Bend and later in nearby Indianapolis. His earliest childhood memories are of biking adventures with friends and exploring the surrounding woods of small town Indiana. Jeff also enjoyed athletics and was a standout 3 sport Varsity Letterman in football, hockey and track at Carmel High School.
Forgoing various football and hockey opportunities, Jeff attended Arizona State University and played Men's Ice Hockey for the Sun Deveils. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and graduated in the spring of 1999 with a BS in Supply Chain Management. Jeff attended CHL Professional Ice Hockey camp in the fall of 1999 before returning to complete his formal education at the the University of Miami Florida. He graduated with his MBA in Investment Finance and Management Information Systems in 2001.
