- Charles William Hittinger is an American actor. He is known for playing Sean Ackard in the television drama series Pretty Little Liars (2010) (2010-11), Van Dyke Tosh in the television series Jonas (2009), and as Matt, the son of Ian Ziering's character, in the 2013 Syfy television movie Sharknado (2013). He was born on February 12, 1983 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Around the age of 21, Charles began his acting career in 2004. His made his television debut in 2005 on the crime series Cold Case (2003). He went on to appear in two different incarnations of CSI including CSI: Miami (2002) in 2005, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000) during 2008. He also appeared in 2007, in an episode of the crime drama Without a Trace (2002). Charles also appeared in several major television series including in 2008 in episodes of Numb3rs (2005) and ER (1994), the 2008 reboot of 90210 (2008) and Grey's Anatomy (2005). In 2009, he landed a role for a single season on Jonas (2009). The following year in 2010, Charles joined the cast of Pretty Little Liars (2010) for two seasons. In 2012, he landed a role in the comedic sequel to the American Pie series American Reunion (2012). In 2013, Charles appeared in Syfy's Sharknado (2013) as the son of the movie's hero Ian Ziering. - Charles's legal name is William Charles Hittinger and was born in São Paulo Brasil on February 12th, 1983. He has been fascinated with the craft of acting as long as he can remember. In Elementary school he starred in his first production ever as Thomas Edison in the educational musical 'The Electric Subshine Man.' As he grew older he learned the great power of theatre, film and television to tell stories to an audience of many that may have otherwise never been exposed. Charles attended Carniegie Mellon Universiry for Drama where he learned to hone his craft and attain the tools to implement his talents on a professional scale. After graduating he moved to Los Angeles to put his newly acquired skills to practice. He looks forward to exploring the endless challenge of storytelling through performance and what new discoveries are yet to be made.
