The song ‘Nee Navve Siri’ from the upcoming Telugu film ‘Madhave Madhusudana’ sung by the dynamic duo of singers Vijay Prakash and Ramya Behara kicks home the feeling of a youthful romance which knows no tomorrow.
The duo is incredibly vibrant, powerful, colourful, and emotional as they perfectly complement each other with their distinct voices.
Fully understanding each other’s vocal strengths, the vocals of Vijay are more low pitch and serene, while Ramya’s are more high pitch and exuberant.
However, even though the voices of these two amazing singers are really beautiful, the composition of Vikas Badisa has to be mentioned because it is ingenious.
Crafted with poetic majesty, the instrumentation is eclectic as it fuses traditional folk sensibilities with film music, and then symphonic ambient elements, creating a very otherworldly magical feeling.
While the song is supposed to be rooted, it feels like a fairy tale romance...

“The Year of the Remake” has brought up some great memories for songs we used to know and, in some cases, made new memorable versions of them. There’s also been plenty of good new songs to add to our playlists from new and upcoming music directors as well as many of our favourites. Here are 20 of the best from 2018, in order of their release.
‘Swagpur Ka Chaudhary’ – Kaalakaandi — Akshay Verma
Electric sound with electric imagery. A song to keep you dancing even if you’re sitting down with badass lyrics to boot.
‘Theher Ja’ – October — Armaan Malik
Soft, smooth, sad but not painfully so. Says come back but finds peace in memories and loss.
‘Nit Khair Manga’ – Raid — Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
A remake of his father’s song, Rahat doesn’t do well as a facsimile here but the modernisation by Tanishk Bagchi and the words which touch...

Thanks to the success of Bahubali 1 and 2, a new genre of Bollywood film has been brought to Hindi speaking audiences: the multi-language film. Strictly speaking it is not new for a Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam or Kannad film to be brought across, dubbed and re-presented for a Hindi audience and similar versions made for regional tongues as necessary. It is also not new for a film to be shot in multiple languages to be distributed between the south Indian industries. However, the concept of shooting a film for North and South audiences is certainly new for Bollywood. Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and AA Films brings the latest in this new genre Kgf: Chapter 1. This is all action, all power starring Kannad ‘Rocking Star’ Yash as Mumbai ka Don Rocky Bhai.
The advantage to shooting several languages at once is it allows for different song sequences to be done during the shooting schedule,...

SandalwoodThe poor script and amateur acting drag this film down.Aravind Shwetha'Mast Kalandar' is a phrase overly used by Bollywood lyricists and musicians. Actually speaking, 'Mast Kalandar' in the context that is mostly used by filmmakers, translates to, 'Mast' – a person who loves to have fun and 'Kalandar' or the original 'Qualander' means a wandering ascetic. In Mast Kalandar, however, neither the film nor the actors are ‘Mast’ or ‘Kalandar’. So, we didn’t quite understand what exactly the title implies. Plugged be a romantic comedy, the film revolves entirely on its hero, Nithin, who appears to have thought that it could ride on his star power. But, this proves to be disastrous. Mast Kalandar is filled with cheesy, sexist dialogues. In fact, the trailer of the film had a cheesy line towards the end that compares women to 3D technology, which, according to the hero, is in front of our eyes but still out of reach! Bravo, dialogue writer. Of course, this was just the trailer – picture mein sexist dialogues baaki hai mere dost! The trailer was a cue and we should’ve taken the hint. The movie is filled with many more of these sexist dialogues. Mast Kalandar is an archetypal boy-meets-girl chronicle that is packaged with amateur acting. Our hero Nithin is a careless young man who takes pride in being irresponsible. He is jobless and is the guy nobody wants. As he is out of work and happens to see a beautiful woman, the heroine Aarohi, he decides to stalk her as a full-time job. What follows next is a series of cheesy routines to make her fall for him. Despite knowing he is worthless, the heroine accepts his proposal. Well-known actor Sridhar play’s Nithin’s father and it's on his advice that the hero takes the 'success' route. Though the makers have tried to establish father-son bonding, it isn’t impressive. Amid all this, the hero sings in the rain with the heroine, fights 10 goons single-handedly, fracturing their bones and our brains. Nithin's acting is wanting in several departments and he really needs to learn to choose good scripts. Aarohi’s job is to look good and advise our hero, in alternating scenes, which she has done promptly. No scope for acting here. None of the other characters is worth mentioning, as they are just blink-and-miss roles. Director Rajkumar Aditthyaa hasn’t taken any trouble to bring in any fresh elements. Speaking of Premkumar's music, except Chanda Aparada by renowned singer Vijay Prakash, the songs are tiresome. Bang Bang Bengaluru sung by Chandan Shetty is a smart inclusion in the album, but the lyrics aren’t good enough for us to hum it. The opening beats of Jai Ganesha Jai song at places can remind you of Agneepath’s Deva Sri Ganesha. Such songs are turning out to be mere fillers in films these days. They are either clubbed with/ used as hero-entry song or as a song simply pasted in a random frame, without establishing anything. A few scenes have been shot at Madhugiri, which is known to be the world’s largest monolithic hill, but zero effort has been put into capturing its beauty. The shooting of the film started in 2014 and it took 4 years for the movie to see the light of the day. One would be surprised if it lasted more than four days in theatres, given what a huge let-down the script proves to be. Disclaimer: This review was not paid for or commissioned by anyone associated with the film. Neither Tnm nor any of its reviewers have any sort of business relationship with the film's producers or any other members of its cast and crew. The soundtrack of "Settai", the Tamil remake of the adult comedy "Delhi Belly", doesn't have the cuss words and expletives of the original. The songs are catchy, hilarious and, most importantly, short. Each song is less than four minutes, and therefore holds the attention of the listener.
The opening track "Agalardhey agalardhey" by Megha and Vijay Prakash is one of the most popular songs of the album. Effervescent voices of the singers are strongly backed by extended bass beats played throughout the song, while the mellow tune of the synthesiser.

Gautam Menon’s bilingual (Tamil/Telugu) masterpiece Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Vtv) and Yeh Maaya Chesave (Ymc) is finally being re-made in Hindi as Ekk Deewana Tha with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson as the leads. The music of Vtv/Ymc, composed by A R Rahman, was given as epic a status if not more than the movie. So it was not a surprise when it was heard that Rahman would be re-making the same songs in Hindi with lyrics penned by none other than Javed Akhtar.
Edt has 12 tracks and features the vocal talents of Clinton Cerejo (‘Kya Karoon’ – Wake Up Sid), Shreya Ghosa (‘Chikni Chameli’ – Agneepath), Javed Ali (‘Guzarish’ – Ghajini), Naresh Iyer (‘Robaroo’ – Rang De Basanti) and Rahman himself amongst others.
Ekk Deewana Tha hits cinemas 17 Febuary 2012.
Kya Hai Mohabbat is the only track in the album that cannot be found in the soundtrack of Vtv/Ymc, so naturally its first on the list.

After Aashayein, which disappeared rather quickly, Nagesh Kukunoor is back with his latest offering Mod, starring Ayesha Takia (Wanted and Dor) and VJ turned actor Ranvijay Singh.
The music of Mod has been composed by Tapas Relia (Hanuman) while Mir Ali Husain has penned the lyrics. It features the vocal talents of Shreya Ghosal (Bahara – I Hate Luv Storys), Shankar Mahadevan (Desi Girls – Dostana), Vijay Prakash (Fikrana – Blue) and Shivam Pathak (Indian Idol 5).
Mod turns to audiences 14 October 2011.
The album commences begins with Tu Hi Tu, a romantic duet between Shreya and Shivam Pathak. It is a melodious, evenly paced contemporary number sung to perfection by young Shivam, whose vocals are a nice blend between Javed Ali and Mohit Chauhan. He sings with Shreya who is many years his senior but he shows no signs of this. Shreya has previously excelled in numbers such as these and Tu Hi Tu is no exception.

The season of remakes continues with Force which stars John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza in lead roles. The film’s a remake of Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha starring Surya (Rakht Charitra) and Joytika (Doli Sajake Rakhna) which was also remade in Telugu as Gharsana. While the Tamil and Telugu versions were directed by Gautum Menon, the Hindi remake is being directed by Nishikanth Kamath (Mumbai Meri Jaan). One thing that remains the same is that Harris Jayaraj (Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein) who has composed for original and the Telugu remake, has also composed and produced the music of Force. Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics.

Tusshar Kapoor and Amrita Rao On the Love U Mr. Kalakaar poster
Movie: Love U… Mr. Kalakaar!
Music Director: Sandesh Shandilya
Lyricist: Manoj Muntashir Music
Label: Sony Music
Rating: ** 1/2
I have always believed that Sandesh Shandilya is extremely talented. There are so many hits to his credit. He is well known for the music of Piya basanti , Rules: Pyar ka superhit formula, Chameli, Socha Na Tha, and Suraj hua Madham. With his newest album, Love U… Mr. Kalakaar!, it seems like Shandilya has taken a few leaves from Pritam?s book, and the result is quite a surprise.
Track 01?Sarphira Sa Hai Dil, Singers: Neeraj Shridhar, Shreya Ghoshal, Duration: 5:22
The way the songs starts (supported with English lyrics) and followed by Neeraj Shridhar?s voice, one could easily assume that this ones a Pritam?s composition; though the choice of instrument is largely different and there is more fusion to it.

With strong orchestration, congo beats and foot-tapping rhythm, the song instantly connects with the listener and is highly intriguing. Sung by Vijay Prakash, Mustafa Kutoane and Keerthi Sagathia, 'Beera' is truly enthralling.Next is 'Behene de'. Wonderfully crooned by Karthik and Mohammed Irfan, it is the best song of the album. Even though it has a 50-second-long and haunting prelude, the listener doesn't lose interest. In fact, the prelude creates more curiosity about what is in store.

Through the windows - through doors - burst like a ruthless force.” These powerful lines by Walt Whitman are just not enough to describe the music of Raavan. The songs have tunes and rhythm by A R Rahman and soulful words by Gulzar. Stitching it all together is the master craftsman Mani Ratnam, the film’s director. So, is the killer troika handing us a musical bazooka again?
Brace up for a musical explosion with the first song of the album, Beera, as congo beats welcome you to the world of the antagonist Beera (Abhishek Bachchan), the mighty and mysterious one who’s described as having ten heads and hundred names. But then nothing in Bollywood sells like success. Zayed Khan was supposed to sing and dance to a solo number in Tony D’Souza’s Blue. He waited patiently. It was meant to be the last number to be shot, post-dubbing because of the delay in recording the song.
