Porn stars are putting on a party, and you're invited.
The sexy actors are getting together to raise money to fight Los Angeles County Measure B, which would force performers to use condoms on set.
Adult star Amber Lynn (photo above) and rocker/sex toy expert/"sex stand-up comedian" Phil Varone will be there, among other adult industry folk, according to XBiz's adult industry newswire.
There will also be bingo and naughty gift baskets.
The shindig is Monday at 8 p.m. at Hamburger Mary's Bar & Grill in West Hollywood. Door admission is $20.
The push for condoms in porn is led by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which says that STDs in the industry are a public health concern and that actors' safety is not being respected. Some porn actors, particularly those who have contracted HIV on set, agree.
However, many in the porn industry think that condoms are unnecessary because the...

Californication: Jorge Garcia to Guest Star
Showtime has announced that Lost alum Jorge Garcia will be stopping by Californication for one episode. Garcia, last seen on Fox's Alcatraz, will be playing an "old contact" of Maggie Grace's character Faith, a rock-n-roll groupie that has to balance her Catholic religion with the wild lifestyle she leads. Grace, who can next be seen in midseason's The Following, may be getting a spin-off based on her nine-episode arc, which could reunite the former Lost castmates at least one more time.
The sixth season of Californication will be documenting the creation of a stage musical based on one of Hank Moody's works. Joining Grace and Garcia in guesting on the Golden Globe-winning comedy are Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach, 24 alum Sarah Winter, character actor Lee Arenberg, and comedian Tim Minchin, with Minchin playing Atticus Fetch, a rock star that works closely...

One may have thought the opening to “The Recused” was just another in a long line of gratuitous sex scenes on Californication, but according to Hank it was “naked poetry.”
When he playfully told Abby he hadn’t been fucked like that since he was an altar boy, I immediately called to mind Marla Singer from Fight Club when she remarked that she “hadn't been fucked like that since grade school.”
Yet another nice Shakespeare reference was made by Hank, this time from Othello, when he told Abby he was pretty sure she wasn’t his attorney while they “made the beast with two backs“ the previous night. This, of course, pertained to her ethical apprehension about being both Hank’s lawyer and lover. A dilemma she tried to fix by talking to her boss, Lloyd Allen Philips Jr. (Alan Dale).
I found it hard to believe Dale as a...

Rocker Phil Varone is set to send fans' temperatures soaring this winter after stripping off for Playgirl Magazine. The former Skid Row drummer has spiced things up for his debut in the women's magazine, becoming the first rock star to bare all for the publication's centerfold.
Varone admits he's enjoying the extra attention the sexy spread has garnered and is reveling in being Mr. December. He says, "To be Mr. December just puts the icing on the cake. I've been having fun with my friends, telling them to address me as Mr. December from this point forward."
And he's opened up about his lifestyle as a swinger in the candid accompanying interview in a bid to educate others about the benefits of swapping sex partners. He tells Playgirl, "Ignorance toward this lifestyle is only fueled by lack of knowledge. The fact that we have sex with others has nothing to do with the core relationship,...

Celebrity Ghost Stories, one of the top-rated series in the history of Bio, returns for a new season of celebs sharing their true, personal, paranormal encounters, on Oct. 30. Allow me to cut-and-paste from the press release announcing this season’s storytellers. I think you can tell from the headline that I believe they saved the best for last. (In my dreams, he gets possessed by his character from A Mighty Wind — “Wha’ happened?” — while recounting his tale.)
“In the premiere: A young Daryl Hannah meets a mysterious woman who changes her life forever. Dancing with the Stars’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy recovers...

Psychotherapist Dr. Mike Dow who debuts as one of the experts featured on Tlc's "Freaky Eaters", who Zap2it interviewed for the premiere of the show, will be guest blogging on a myriad of topics. In addition, Dow will serve from time to time as our go-to expert, weighing in on various celebrity addiction stories. (Think Zap2it's resident Dr. Drew). Readers may also be familiar with Dow from his regular contributions on Huffingtonpost. In this first edition, Dr. Dow talks "cheat food":
Everybody has a cheat food. When you're with your friends and co-workers sharing and you admit, yes, sometimes you eat 2 ice cream sandwiches instead of just one. The cheat food you describe in menu-like detail - "and then, I top off the burger with..."
What is your cheat food?
Ok, come on. There's cheat food that you admit to, and then there's the Real cheat food.

Former Skid Row's drummer Phil Varone has filed a lawsuit against the band's guitarist David Sabo and bassist James Southworth accusing the rockers of "spreading lies" and destroying his reputation. Varone, who drummed for the '80s glam rock band from 2000 to 2003, filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on February 5.
He claims the Sabo and Southworth "have embarked on a crusade to spread vicious lies about Varone in an effort to destroy his professional and personal reputation" and "to prevent him from truthfully describing his career history as the drummer for Skid Row, by contending that his use of the band name is trademark infringement".
In 2009, Varone appeared on U.S. reality TV show "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew", where he claimed to have slept with more than 3,000 women. He claims Sabo, Southworth and their lawyer contacted night clubs and talk show producers for Oprah Winfrey and...

Here's the problem with these rehab-on-tv shows: They are showing rehab. On TV. Um, most sobriety programs have "anonymous" in their names for a reason. Because anonymity is a key aspect of getting over addictions, which means television might make the process a bit tougher. VH1's Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew becomes the latest semi-serious attempt to depict the process of overcoming addiction. And with its Sunday premiere, the series, like Celebrity Rehab before it, achieved the same odd combination of attacking important issues and allowing a salacious look at people who seem far worse off than most of us.
