"We're being hunted." Well Go USA has dropped the trailer for an action film titled Kill Shot, formerly known as Hunted, from filmmaker Ari Novak. The plot of this sounds a lot like the plot of Cliffhanger, with a few extra "here's an elite soldier character" and "here's a nearly naked woman" tricks up its sleeves. Posing as hunters, a group of terrorists are in search of $100 million that was stolen and lost in a plane crash en route from Afghanistan. The story follows two people on a hunting trip, a former Navy Seal and his client, who stumbled upon the cash and try to figure out how to get away with some of it without being killed. Rib Hillis who co-wrote the script, stars with Rachel Cook, Bobby Maximus, Mara Ohara, Xian Mikol, and Mark Murphy. This looks hilariously bad, oh so bad, especially when this main blonde woman...

Pixar’s Pete Docter reminisced about his days as a student at CalArts on Saturday night at the 2019 CalArts Redcat Gala, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award.
For the wide-eyed boy from Minnesota, where life was more routine, attending CalArts “was a free-for-all. It was eye-opening in a lot of ways,” he recalled. “But it was also a place to play around and see what you could do.”
Docter, who is now chief creative officer at Pixar and the director and/or writer of some of its biggest hits, has come a long way from those days and this award has touched him deeply because his time at CalArts meant so much.
“Growing up, the land of Disney and Warner Bros. and all the movies seemed so far away,” he said. “Coming to CalArts was like being adopted by the animation family. It was a place where we got exposed to all this information.

It’s always a pleasure to be invited onto a film set, and even more so when you step into one where everybody seems to get on so well, which was the case on Mark Murphy’s The Revenger: An Unromantic Comedy.
And it’s a atmosphere which has infused the finished product too, as HeyUGuys were fortunate enough to be the very first UK outlet to watch the movie since its completion, and needless to say we’re big fans, as this congenial, very funny piece of cinema is all but set to be one of the stand-out British rom-coms of 2018.
Billed as ‘a fairy tale romance takes an unexpected turn when Mark discovers his beautiful bride-to-be, Connie, has actually been plotting against him’ – during our visit we saw a very early scene being shot, and around us were extras donning their smart, black attire – for...

Just when you thought you knew the formula to the archetypal romantic comedy by heart, director Mark Murphy presents The Revenger: An Unromantic Comedy, turning the genre on its head, to make for a light-hearted, playful affair, that takes an affectionately barbed, unique look at the modern relationship.
HeyUGuys were fortunate enough to be invited on the film’s set – anticipating an entertaining, fun day out in the summer sun. Then when we arrived it dawned on us today was the day they were shooting the film’s funeral scenes. And it was raining. Hooray!
But such is the nature of the film – and the affability of those involved – this wasn’t your typical funeral, as we watched on as lead stars Samantha Barks, Robert Kazlnsky and Ed Speelers lent a comedic touch to this supposedly miserable day.

It’s grim up north. Or so many British horror films would have you believe. If you’re travelling across the Yorkshire Moors you damn well better not be travelling alone or – heaven forbid – at night, otherwise your loved ones will be identifying your half-digested remains found in the woods outside Northallerton. You’d think people would have learned this lesson by now, but commuting businessman Jake (Rupert Hill) appears to be a slow learner. After a freak road accident he wakes up in the rural home of Morris (an unhinged Tony Curran) and his sheltered daughter Lauren (pop star Diana Vickers) and attempts to leave so that he can attend an ill-defined but ultra-important “business meeting” and, oh yeah, propose to his girlfriend.

Usually found (wrongly) bragging about his status with the opposite sex as Jay in The Inbetweeners on big and small screens, James Buckley is striking out away from the gang for a starring role in The Comedian’s Guide To Survival. With Paul Kaye, MyAnna Buring and Neil Stuke in the cast, the film finds Buckley as failed comic James Mullinger, who travels the world interviewing more successful funny types to find the secret to comedy. And because he has to talk to funny types, the film, which is in production right now, features a host of cameos from people who make their trade cracking gags at a variety of levels including Jimmy Carr, Omid Dalilli, Gilbert Gottfried and more. Awaiting is a psychological thriller from director Mark Murphy (The Crypt). Focusing on a reclusive cannibal, the film also involves a terrified victim. Awaiting will premiere at the United Kingdom's Film4 Frightfest Film Festival. And, the film stars Tony Curran (Gladiator), Diana Vickers and Rupert Hill. A trailer for the film was released, recently (hosted below). Now, the film's official poster has been revealed and it can be seen here. The trailer brings more of the story out, to feed on. The clip shows how a lone cannibal ambushes and captures his prey (spike strip). The trailer also shows how the cannibal's daughter grows cold feet, when the new prey is being readied for a feast. Characters collide and allegiances are dissolved in this intriguing film. A review or two for Awaiting have been kind. Roger Crow, of the Huffington Post, mentions some of the bloodier scenes, which are "wince-inducing.

Sawney Bean. The name alone is enough to send a chill down the spine... right before it's yanked out of your back and gnawed on until there's nothing left but bone and gristle. Another film is on its way to lend some bite to the horror genre based upon the terrors conjured by his clan. Read on for details.
Director Mark Murphy dropped us a line to let us know that his next film after The Crypt 3D will be called The Valleys. So, what's it all about? We'll let Mark lift the veil...

The Redcat has received a major grant that will help it expand Radar L.A., an international contemporary theater festival set for late September. The Los Angeles interdisciplinary contemporary arts center, known formally as the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, announced this week that it has received $244,000 from ArtPlace America, a coalition of national and regional foundations, banks and federal agencies. The money will help Redcat expand Radar L.A. beyond the 14 companies invited to mount productions last year. "The ArtPlace America grant provides much needed support for the unique festival and residency programming," Mark Murphy, executive director of Redcat and co-curator of Radar L.A., said in a statement. "It will enable us to implement larger, long-term strategies which utilize cultural activity as a key way to help contribute to the cultural vitality of Los Angeles, with a special focus on downtown." The grant money will also help...

They may not have parted on the best terms, and large portions of the state of Wisconsin still hold a grudge. However, the CEO of the Green Bay Packers is ready to make peace with former star quarterback Brett Favre.
Talking to Fox Sports during a tailgate party tour, CEO Mark Murphy says, "We want to have [Favre] back in the family." It's the second olive branch between Favre and the team he led for 15 seasons. Earlier in the year he joined current Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to present an award at the NFL Honors show.
"We're hopeful to have [Favre] back in the fold and get him back involved in the organization soon," Murphy says. Favre and the team were at odds when he announced his retirement in March 2008. The Packers drafted Rodgers as a replacement, and when Favre decided he didn't want to be retired they wouldn't give him back his spot.

On November 28, “Gatz” finally reaches a theater in Los Angeles, seven years after Redcat first asked to produce the page-by-page retelling on stage of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby.” When “Gatz” played New York’s Public Theater two years ago, Ben Brantley’s review in the New York Times began: “The most compelling love affair being conducted on a New York stage this season isn’t between a man and a woman. (Or a man and a man, a woman and a woman or a boy and a horse.) It is between a man and a book.” By that time, the six-and-a-half-hour play in which workers in a shabby office enact the Jazz Age tragedy from first word to last sentence had been seen in Norway, Zurich, Vienna, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Australia, Portland, Oregon and Brussels, Belgium. According to Mark Murphy, who has been the executive director of...

I know, I know, you’re confused, too! The thing is that Mark Murphy‘s upcoming horror movie obviously has two titles at this moment. Both of them are quite cool actualy – The Convent (sounds solid for a horror) and Crypt (even better, if you ask me). But that’s not so important right now, because we finally have a completely new images from the whole thing, and I’m sure you’re going to love it!
So, in case you’re not so familiar with Murphy’s horror movie debut, I will first inform you that the whole thing blends classic supernatural horror with a modern found footage twist, and will tell us two interconnecting stories played out in parallel, intercutting with each other.

"Nearly halfway through the shoot, and luckily the only deaths and disasters are all happening on screen," says Murphy. "Today we shoot a key scene which will have people talking for years to come. Feeling like a mole man having spent so much time filming in the crypt, but we're getting gold on a daily basis. Very much looking forward to seeing this on the big screen but will sorely miss working with such an amazing cast and crew; expecting big things from Nicola Posener, Tom Leeper, Charley McDougall, Sabrina Bussandri and Lucy Drive."

Rewind your thoughts to last year’s NFL off-season and smack dab in the middle of the bickering between the players and owners about revenue sharing, you had NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell casually bring up the 18 game schedule. It wasn’t the hot button topic of the negotiations, but it was still there simmering in wait.
According to Goodell and many of the NFL owners it was a foregone conclusion that the league would eventually shift from a 16 to an 18 game season, but recent comments from Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy adds some doubt to the possibility.
From the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
“… to be honest with you, I couldn’t support a move to 18,” Murphy said. “I just think with all the focus on the player health and safety, it would be really hard to do that…”
Thank goodness. It seems all the recent concussion based lawsuits being brought against...

The average NFL franchise is worth more than $1 billion. So unless you're Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates, chances are you don't have enough pocket change to buy one. But you can now buy at least part of one as the Green Bay Packers have started selling shares in the defending Super Bowl champions.
The team from Titletown began a stock sale on Tuesday (Dec. 6) allowing fans to buy in at $250 per share plus a $25 handling charge. The team has said money from the sale will go to finance renovations at Lambeau Field.
Packers President Mark Murphy tells the AP that the team received 1,600 orders in the first 11 minutes of the offering. This is the fifth stock sale in the team's 92-year history.
The only trick with these stock certificates is they have virtually no re-sale value. The stock is not an investment vehicle and there are no dividends. On the plus side,...
