Kitty Brucknell is a singer, songwriter and producer from Cheltenham,
England. Kitty rose to fame in 2011 when she became a finalist on the
eighth season of The X Factor. Kitty captivated audiences with her
outstanding theatrical performances, setting a new standard in scale
and quality of production.
Kitty auditioned for The X Factor in the summer of 2011, receiving
unanimous praise from the judges with her performance of Lady Gaga's
The Edge of Glory. She went through to the live shows, remaining in the
competition for six weeks. Throughout the show's run, she received
praise and support from
Brian May
from
Queen (for her performance of Who
Wants to Live Forever) as well as
Lady Gaga,
Kylie Minogue and
Perez Hilton. Her performances were
consistently well received by the judges.
At only four years old she was learning to play the violin and two
years later she took up the piano. Before appearing on The X Factor,
Kitty had developed a strong following on YouTube and performed live
throughout the UK and abroad. She was known not only for her unique
style, but also for her big voice and her loyalty towards her fans.
