On Friday night's The Kelly File, host Megyn Kelly parsed the breaking news in the Chris Christie Bridgegate scandal, expressing skepticism at the "breathless headlines," while also calling out Christie surrogate Steve Lonegan for mischaracterizing what Christie said during his marathon press conference in January. Kelly pointed out that today's revelations clearly contradict what Governor Christie said art that press conference, but also asked "Why do we care?"...

Cory Booker, 44, is now a U.S. Senator, thanks to the people of New Jersey who voted in a special election to fill the state’s vacant seat. The Democrat steadily beat out a conservative Republican to nab the spot.

Cory Booker is running for the Senate (against Republican Steve Lonegan) seat in New Jersey. The handsome single mayor of Newark has courted Hollywood and appears on many TV chat shows talking up the city and its problems. The Daily Caller reports that Booker doesn’t live at any of the addresses he has claimed as home. The mayor is believed to live in New York even though he is registered to run for New Jersey’s special senate election. Booker, who filed to run for the U.S. Senate from a P.O. Box in Newark, is registered to vote at 435 Hawthorne Avenue but the website did a little investigative reporting and found that neighbors haven’t seen Booker in years and...

Orlando Cruz lost his title fight on Saturday night in a knockout in the seventh round. He had a rough start to the evening, his gym bag misplaced, his entry music lost, and his hands not even taped fifteen minutes before the fight. Parts of the crowd were shouting “Puta, puta.” But his opponent, Orlando Salido, said Cruz being gay didn’t matter. “None of that stuff matters. He is a very strong, tough fighter.” As for Cruz, it’s time to relax, reflect. Oh – and get married to his fiancé on November 16th.

In the wake of Cory Booker's political opponent publicly questioning his sexuality, MSNBC's Chris Hayes asked the Democratic Senate hopeful on Thursday: "Why not just come out?" "From the perspective of the gay rights movement, from the perspective of the progress we have seen for Lgbt rights, coming out has been a huge, morally important step to get the kind of acceptance we've seen," Hayes said. "So my question is, if you are gay, why not just come out?" Booker -- who's facing Republican Steve Lonegan for New Jersey's Senate seat --...

Newark Mayor Cory Booker is one step closer to the U.S. Senate, having just won New Jersey's special primary election for the Democratic nomination.
The primary was being held because of the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who passed away in June. However, Booker had already announced that he would be seeking Lautenberg's seat -- even before Lautenberg himself announced he would not be seeking releection.
But Booker has never been one to color inside the lines. He previously lived for a week on food stamps and also rushed into his neighbor's burning house to help the residents escape. He was later treated for second degree burns and smoke inhalation.
Booker defeated Rep. Rush Holt, Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver and Rep. Frank Pallone in the special primary, with a 40-point lead over runner-up Pallone. The general election will be held in two months, where Booker will face Republican challenger Steve Lonegan.
