Directed By: Eric Weston
Starring: Costas Mandylor, Christa Campbell, Amanda Aardsma, Derrick Kosinski, Joshua Alba, Christina Murphy
It’s not hard to see why out of about 10 different DVDs, the first one my hand gravitates towards is called, Hyenas. What’s not to love about hyenas that eat people? The cover is simple and straight forward; a giant snarling hyena probably laughing and saying mean things about Mufasa because that’s what hyenas do. Imagine my surprise then, when within the first few minutes of the film, the “hyenas” are seen driving cars and wearing Ray-Bans. That’s right, these hyenas are more like werewolves---only not as cool and worse at acting.
The latest muck that Lionsgate Dtv offers up is the latest creative spin on the werewolf genre and it’s terrible. So terrible in fact that the best actor cast in the film is none other than that...

Dance Flick
Directed by: Damien Wayans
Cast: Damon Wayans Jr., Shoshana Bush
Running Time: 1 hr. 15 mins
Rating: PG 13
Plot: Visualize a room filled with coherent, albeit, formulaic plots. Now picture a demolition crew blowing up that room with zestful overkill. Pick through the remaining detritus, piece together random flotsam, and voila! There’s your plot.
Who’s It For? Starfish. They’re slow, brainless, and they have a lot of free time.
Expectations: I was pretty sure I’d hang myself within the first ten minutes. Unfortunately, the theater staff took my noose away from me, because it ended up being much closer to five.
Scorecard (0-10)
Actors:
Damon Wayans Jr. as Thomas: Wayans Jr. has a fun presence. Put him in something well written and funny and he could probably do a good job. Here, he’s one of the only remotely enjoyable parts of a big, rotten sh*t hoagie.

'Do you know how long I thought my dad was Uncle Keenen?' Damon Wayans Jr. jokes of being able to tell the siblings apart.

You know something is up when you arrive at the press junket for a major motion picture and PR reps are actually handing out copies of the stars' family tree. But how else can a journalist be expected to keep all the Wayans who participated in "Dance Flick" straight?
There's Keenen Ivory and Marlon and Shawn and Kim and Dwayne, the siblings who worked together back in the days of "In Living Color." The only "Ilc"-era Wayans not participating in the film is Damon, but he's being represented by son Damon Jr., who plays the lead role in "Dance Flick." Then there's nephew Craig, who co-wrote the script,...

Members of the media focus too often on the negatives of actors and actresses, highlighting their insincerity or one-dimensional skill. You'd be hard-pressed to do that with Christina Murphy, one of the stars of Forgotten Pills and Dance Flick, which opens May 22nd. In Dance Flick, the latest film from the unstoppable comedic force that is the Wayans family, Murphy plays Nora, the catty dancer out to ruin the chances at success of Megan, the film's heroine. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, the charming and incredibly talented actress took some time to chat with Fsr about her humble beginnings, the Wayans family army and why she can't get cast as the good girl in spite of her down to Earth personality. Fsr: Christina, thanks for taking the time to talk to us. I appreciate it. Christina Murphy: No, I appreciate it. Thank you for having me. You're my first Texas interview, so...
