It’s silly to have the expectation that Hollywood could have some sort of courageous or moral center. That’s not the point of TheWrap’s list of Hollywood’s wussiest moves.

Dear Al Roker,
Can we talk? We (or, more accurately, Jezebel and then we) noticed a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very awkward exchange during the 9:00 a.m. hour of the "Today" show on Thursday. We think you might owe someone an apology.
We're talking about the segment you co-hosted with Natalie Morales and Willie Geist, in which the three of you discussed how MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski tweeted a photograph of her weight. After publishing a book about her obsession with weight, Brzezinski tweeted to her hundred-thousand followers that she used to feel fat at 118 pounds, but finally feels healthy at 135.9 pounds.
We agree that it seemed appropriate to give the tweet some coverage. What was maybe not as approriate was your decision to turn Brzezinski's weight-loss reveal into a segment about Morales' decision to withhold that information about herself.

As the venerable news anchor revealed to viewers on Thursday (Aug. 1), Brian Williams won't be around the the remaining weeks of summer as he's due to have knee replacement surgery.
During a segment on Thursday's edition of "NBC Nightly News," NBC medical correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman spoke with Williams about his injury.
"I took a helmet to the knee in high school," Williams says. "It reversed my knee -- they don't recommend that. I have been in pain for 35 years. I loved playing a team sport. I loved every minute of football." The longtime anchor adds that the pain he feels has begun "costing [him] sleep." The elective surgery will be on Williams' right knee.
While Williams recovers from his surgery, Lester Holt will fill his chair at the "Nightly News" desk. Holt is the current co-anchor of the weekend edition of "Today" and also serves as the weekend anchor for "Nightly News.

NBC News anchor Brian Williams will be off the air for a few weeks soon for surgery to replace a knee that was damaged in a high school football game decades ago.
Yet in what may be a sign of increased competitiveness in an evening news ratings race that Williams has dominated for several years, NBC News would not say Friday when Williams would go under the knife. Spokeswoman Erika Masonhall would say only that Williams will anchor Nightly News on Monday.
