New season premieres June 1
Virtualis Studios — the cloud-based, fully virtual video production division of Super League Gaming — will provide remote production and monitoring solutions for the second season of Fox’s “Lego Masters,” the company announced on Wednesday.
Endemol Shine North America, which produces the show, said in a statement that it made the move “to maintain Covid-safe environments, contain costs, meet tight production timelines and facilitate critical real-time, remote communications between producers, executives, directors, agents, contestants and talent while shooting.”
“Virtualis Studios was an integral and invaluable contributor to our daily production and communication workflows for Lego Masters. We needed someone with deep experience in remote production and monitoring who could eliminate the unknowns and provide a solution that just worked for our team and our partners, no matter what,” Rob Day, Endemol Shine’s EVP and Head of Production, said. “Virtualis understands that production has changed forever and...

With YouTube's big announcement last month, it seems "live" is on everyone's mind these days. And as more attention is placed on appointment viewing and entertainment events, live producers are betting the money is sure to follow. theStream.tv sure thinks so. Brian Gramo, who founded the interactive web television studio and network that has produced over 1,300 live broadcasts, announced a new, bigger home for theStream.tv in Hollywood: theStream.tv 4.0 HD Studio, which boasts 4,000 square feet of space with a control room, offices, and make-up room. The studio plans to open its doors in June 2011, inviting live shows to take advantage of its 25 Megabit upload speeds and state of the art live HD streaming equipment. The good news comes nearly a year after Gramo's announcement that theStream.tv lost its only sponsor, which forced Gramo to lay off his two full-time employees and eventually put the studio on hold.

A few days ago, I received a mysterious message from Brian Gramo of theStream.tv saying that this Friday on their popular gaming program The Game Show some big news was going to be announced soon. After the news a few weeks ago that their sponsor Evo Energy Drink had to pull its sponsorship support of the live interactive television station, I was excited to know what the good news could be. So I decided the best way to be in on the action was to head over to theStream.tv station and watch the announcement live. I was not disappointed. The Game Show opened with a filmed segment of the trio of hosts, Jim Festante, David Guida, and Nikole Zivalich, getting an Xbox friend request from…Revision3. Giddy with excitement, they accept the request to unlock the Synergistic Achievement at which they quipped: “they’ve seen our show, right?...

Last Thursday, founder of theStream.tv Brian Gramo went live and told the online community that he had a very important announcement to make considering the interactive web television network. Viewers in chat knew Gramo was serious when almost every host of every show on the network joined them in the room. This was either going to be very good news...or very bad news. In the aftermath of the Twitter storm that followed, it would prove to be a little of both. Bad in the fact that Gramo announced the departure of theStream's longtime (and only) sponsor, Evo energy drink (it was a friendly departure, due to finances on Evo's part), as well as having to layoff his two full-time employees. Good in the fact that it forced Gramo to begin seriously considering the future of the station and begin formulating a possible business model that will lead to...

It's a flurry of activity in the studio as guests from the Live! From the Future With Stuart Papp show linger and the crew of the RadNerd Show rush about, trying to organize media with the operations manager, preparing for sound check, going over their outline of segments with their special guest Sara Fletcher from My Secret Girlfriend. There is an electricity and excitement in the air and at the center of it all is Brian Gramo, Overlord of theStream.tv (I had to make up a title because as the space under his picture on the website states: "I don't really have a title, but if i did... I'd put it here!"), orchestrating the transitions with the stature of someone with a combination of natural talent and years of experience. It's Tuesday, November 10th and it's the premiere (or as the network calls it, the pilot presentation) of the...
