Disney and Lin-Manuel Miranda turn out to be the musical combination you never knew you needed - until now. The Hamilton star took over Disney Animation's Instagram on Sunday to promote his upcoming film Moana, and gifted the world with his own rendition of classic Disney tunes. Miranda sang melodies from Aladdin, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, Mulan and more. Using the hashtag #linstagram, the actor, 36, wasted no time in crooning a few Disney hits. "Okay, name the Disney movie," he said in a video before singing "A Whale of a Tale" from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Name the Disney movie...

Netflix streaming is upping the ante this December, adding enough high-profile TV shows and movies to more than make up for last month's lackluster offerings.
On the movie side, highlights include Will Ferrell and gang in "Anchorman 2," the Heath Ledger-starring "A Knight's Tale," Cameron Crowe classic "Almost Famous," Oscar-winning "American Beauty," and horror hits "Oculus" and "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones." Oh, and let's not forget '80s classic "Troop Beverly Hills," '90s cult favorite "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion," or Leonardo DiCaprio in "The Wolf of Wall Street."
And there's plenty to love about what's coming on the TV front: "American Horror Story: Coven" finally gets its day on Netflix, "Sharknado 2" storms its way to streaming, and Brit hit "Broadchurch" finally lands stateside. Oh, and December sees the premiere of the hotly anticipated Netflix Original series "Marco Polo" on the 12th.

There have been a variety of things in the air in Sons of Anarchy‘s final season: bullets, bloodshed, Gemma’s complicated web of lies.
But until Tuesday’s episode, love hasn’t been one of them.
So, the emphasis on matters of the heart in the FX drama’s latest installment — including seven sex scenes at the top of the hour — was a little disorienting.
There was Jax and Winsome getting it on at Diosa (which was only a matter of time, considering how they first met); Gemma barely acknowledging Nero’s presence in bed; Tig and Venus sharing...

This week's Teen Wolf sows the seeds for the season's remaining episodes. Here's Ron's review...
This review contains spoilers.
4.11 A Promise To The Dead
Since his return as a quipping, sarcastic guy who never met an ulterior motive he couldn't keep hidden somewhere beneath a too-tight v-neck shirt, Peter Hale has proven time and time again to be one of the most fun characters in the Teen Wolf universe. He's clearly becoming the bad guy, and probably has been for a while, but he's just so funny and charming that you can't help but appreciate him and be thankful that he's out there plotting to kill pretty much everyone not himself. He has a lot in common with Kate Argent in that way.
Kate brought a very interesting dynamic to Teen Wolf's first season that the show had trouble recapturing. She was both sexy and dangerous (remember Peter essentially seducing Lydia?...

Remember back in 2010, when Justin Theroux was hired to write and direct “Zoolander 2”? The announcement was seen as a little odd at the time, but Theroux did have a small role in the original movie and was coming off successful writing contributions to Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder” and “Iron Man 2.” And there was also the matter of Theroux's directorial debut, the little-seen indie film “Dedication” starring Billy Crudup and Mandy Moore. There hasn’t been a lot of movement on the project since. Ben Stiller said in 2011 that the ball was in Paramount’s court and he and Theroux had handed in a draft. But many assumed the relative underperformance of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy” might have been the final nail in its coffin. The Will Ferrell-starring comedy lived a similar lifespan as 'Zoolander': a beloved cult-comedy that eventually inched its way...

Renny Harlin is a director we're quite fond of, but The Legend Of Hercules is far from his finest hour...
I've been trying to think of something nice to say about The Legend of Hercules, but it's kind of difficult to do that when a movie fails on every possible level. Perhaps the best thing I can say about the movie is that it's going to make a great Rifftrax when Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy get their hands on it. The second best thing I can say about it is that it's short, clocking in at only 99 minutes. That means the constant assault of insipidness ends mercifully quickly, unlike the movie's fight scenes.
As the evil king Amphitryon (Scott Adkins) grows more and more mad with power, conquering city-states and waging war in an effort to sate his blood lust, his...

It's a relatively quiet week for new releases and rep screenings, but with the F1 crowd making traffic through Austin a slow-moving experience, maybe that's just as well. You can venture away from downtown to join the Austin Film Society at the Marchesa over the next week for some top-notch bookings that would have otherwise skipped over our fair city completely. On Saturday afternoon, they've got Andrew Dosunmu's Mother Of George, an acclaimed film that debuted at Sundance earlier this year about a Nigerian couple living in Brooklyn who cannot have a child of their own.
At Berkeley is another movie that nobody else would dare to bring to town. This 4-hour documentary from legendary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman details four months on campus at the University of Southern California at Berkeley. It has one screening only on Sunday at noon and it will feature a Skype Q&A with Wiseman after the film.

Before you start pelting me with fun-size Snickers bars, let me just say: I love almost everything about Halloween.
I love the Dr. Who-themed jack-o-lanterns, the pranksters who scare off trick-or-treaters with Scary Nicholas Cage decorations, and the opportunity to humiliate tiny dogs by dressing them in Miley Cyrus gear. I’m even amused by the increasing unsexiness of “sexy” Halloween costumes, which suggest that even the most scantily-clad college girls are actually in on the joke. Might I suggest a ”sexy baby” outfit, paired with Ricky’s Slutty Wallet, which sports the festive tagline “lose your dignity, not your valuables”?

Most people fall into one of two categories. You're either a cat person or a dog person. Cat people are clearly more intelligent, though the fact that my cat Fudge is staring up at me as I type this might be influencing my decision on that one. Cats aren't so cute, however, in the 2011 Korean horror, The Cat. Popular television actress Park Min Young leaps onto the silver screen as the heroine of this eerie summer horror entry. Directed by Byun Seung Wook (Solace), The Cat also co-stars Kim Dong Wook (Romantic Heaven) and famous child actress Kim Sae Won's little sister Kim Ye Ron, in her acting debut. U.K. Cat lovers can have their milk and lick it on 30th December 2013, when The Cat slumps onto DVD for the first time. Synopsis: Pet groomer So Yeon (Park Min Young) has suffered from claustrophobia ever since she was a child.

Warning: this article uses the word “fuck” a lot. More than once. There's a spoiler for X-Men: First Class if you've not seen it, too.
The best gag in Get Shorty sequel Be Cool (that didn't involve Dwayne Johnson) is at the beginning of the movie, when John Travolta's mobster-turned-movie-producer Chili Palmer talks about why he's leaving the movie business. “Do you know that unless you're willing to use the R rating, you can only say the 'F' word once? You know what I say? Fuck that. I'm done."
This refers to a guideline imposed by the Motion Picture Association of America, the Us ratings board, which places a quota upon the number of F-words you can use in a PG-13 film.

Wha….I can’t….the mustache even….so much beauty…ruined. Can “Give it some low lights” be the new “Kill it with fire”? I obviously don’t want Nick Offerman (and, subsequently, Ron Swanson) to perish in flames, but seeing him covered in a golden fur at the Peabody Awards last night is triggering some kind of flight-or-fight response in my brain stem. If Parks and Rec were more like Family Matters, this would be Nick Offerman’s cousin Shawn from Miami, and he’d have some sick tribal tatts he needs to show you at your earliest convenience. Or the man has a secret Eddie Izzard biopic in the works, one of the two. (via Buzzfeed)...

We’ve all seen those Tumblrs where people take quotes from one thing and put them overtop another thing to create photos of both things, causing us to smile and agree “I like both those things!” An example, off the top of my head: Ron Swanson Newsies! (Pic of young Christian Bale holding up newspaper, with caption telling people to do one thing whole-assed). Everybody wins! This Tumblr, “Arrested Downtown” – a combination of Downton Abbey screenshots with Arrested Development quotes – is about the best one of these Tumblrs there can possibly be. Here’s one excellent example: Check out the rest of the site here. It is very perfectly pointless.

After scoring the first tickets on the first flight to London on The Amazing Race 17, Ron Kellum, 45, and Tony Stovall, 42, quickly saw their fortunes take a turn for the worst once they landed. The best friends — and self-described navigational experts — never recovered from driving in the wrong direction looking for Stonehenge and became the first team ousted from the new season. "We just kept marveling, like, how did this happen?" Ron tells TVGuide.com. "In Boston, getting to the airport, we were the only team that didn't make a wrong turn. We get to England and it's like, I don't know my right from my left!" Find out how long they were lost for, if they completed all the tasks and if they think they jinxed themselves.

Then the teams made their way to the airport to catch a flight to London,England. Once they arrived in England, they got into their cars to head to Stonehenge to find their next clue. Everyone seem to be having trouble finding out where they were going. Then Andie and Jenna's car broke down because Jenna didn't know how to drive stick very well, and burned out the engine.

Those who will travel thousands of miles around the world in "The Amazing Race" season 17 have been unveiled. Eleven teams are comprised of among others; beauty queens, YouTube sensations, a capella singers and doctors.
But the one with the most interesting background story would be stay-at-home mom Andie DeKroon who is only reunited with her 21-year-old daughter Jenna Sykes. Andie gave up Jenna for adoption when she was still a baby. "I hope to get to know my birth mother through this incredible opportunity," Jenna said in her official CBS bio. "It is my hope that we will be able to spend a lot of time together and become friends."
Another notable pair is Michael and Kevin Wu who are father and son. Kevin at 20-years-old is officially the youngest contestant in "Amazing Race" history. But he is better known as the YouTube sensation who has over 1 million subscribers on his channel.
