Melita Fawcett

Melita Fawcett is a classically trained Canadian/American actress. She was born in Zadar Croatia and was raised in Montreal before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career in film and television. She began acting at a very young age and was urged to do so by her second grade teacher after she saw her perform in a school play. Melita auditioned for The Young Performers of Canada and was invited to join the prestigious children's theatre group. She was part of many stage productions such as: West Side Story, Grease, Oedipus Rex, The Cherry Orchard, The Madwoman of Chaillot, A Midsummer Night's Dream, amongst others. She earned her degree in Professional Theatre and went on to study at The Orange County Performing arts Conservatory in California.
She is an actress trained in The Stanislavski system where she learned how to bring a character's emotional life in every performance. It was then that her true love for the craft of acting began. Her acting teacher and mentor Stanley Mullough once told her that she had the gift but needed to go out and live life so that she could really become a great actor. That always stuck with her, she began to travel and truly live life and observe human behavior.
For a period of time, she shared a home in Los Angeles with four up and coming actors where she decided to really sit back and watch her roommates take center stage. She then clued in on the very traps of celebrity in Hollywood. This gave her the wisdom she needed to stay true to herself and to continue on the actors journey by choosing to move to Vancouver British Columbia ,Canada.
