While everyone is still reeling from Sunday’s Breaking Bad finale, here’s a roundup from the lighter, non-Meth side with “Animation Domination” over on Fox (the season premieres of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and American Dad!) and the comic stylings of Stephen Merchant over on HBO (the series premiere of Hello Ladies). Here are the highlights, lowlights, and “what the…?”s of the evening.
The Simpsons, Season 25, Episode 1, “Homerland”
Written by Stephanie Gillis
Directed by Bob Anderson

Just like the cartoon, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse doesn’t take itself seriously. The action adventure game spans ten universes of chaos. You may find yourself running from Amish farmers and their dangerous farm tools or fighting your way through an onslaught of wasted fraternity meatheads. Wherever you are, Family Guy’s titular humor will be there, right down to the ephebophile next door, Herbert.
Family Guy staff writers Mike Desilets and Anthony Blasucci penned the game’s script to make sure this digital story matched the comical atmosphere of the TV series. So Seth MacFarlane lovers the world over can look forward to M-rated antics as well as Peter Griffin running through at least one scene butt-naked. The development team...
