Whenever Tokio Hotel gets ready to play a concert, they gather backstage, circle up, put their hands in the center and give a hearty Power Ranger "Activation!" If Tokio Hotel is to believed, this is the truth. We learned that fun nugget and more from our recent HitFix Mix interview, where the four-piece German pop-rock troupe revealed a little more about what makes them nervous and more of their... motivations. When you flash your boobs at Georg Listing and Tom Kaulitz, for instance, the bassist and guitarist will respectively be almost 100% sure you're flashing at them. Singer Bill Kaulitz revealed that the band is especially "lazy" in the studio, while Gustav Schäfer admitted that smoking is perhaps one of their most treasured time-killers. The band last released their album "Kings of Suburbia" and have been promoting singles "Love Who Loves You Back" and "Feel It All"; the music video for...

Raise a glass to Tokio Hotel frontman Bill Kaulitz, who turns 21 years old today. The German singer and fashion icon is already something of an industry veteran, performing with his twin brother Tom since he was 10 years old. They plugged away quietly as Black Question Mark until they met Georg Listing and Gustav Schafer, who filled out their band and turned them into Devilish. The young band continued to play shows and attempt to get discovered until Bill performed on the German version of "Star Search" in 2003. He didn't win (he was eliminated in the quarter-finals), but his one-of-a-kind voice and unique sense of style scored his band a recording contract. They changed their name (again) to Tokio Hotel, and the rest is history.

Taking their sound overseas, the members of Tokio Hotel were among the participants in the MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia music event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday (July 31).
With Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Gustav Schaefer and Georg Listing all on-hand at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Surf Beach venue, the quartet took part in a press conference before taking the stage for a smokin' set including Noise, Automatic, Dogs Unleashed and Forever Now.
Chatting with press before their turn onstage, MTV asked the group what fans could expect from the show, to which Bill replied, "What we did on this record is that we tried some new instruments, the guys are playing keyboards, and they are playing piano for the first time, because in general, Tom is only playing the guitar, but he’s also really talented when it comes to the piano, so we went with a new...

Following the release of Humanoid, their breakthrough 2009 album, Tokio Hotel traveled around the world filling venues, teasing their hair out huge and delivering big hooks and even bigger beats to thousands of fans. The band found themselves in familiar surroundings on Sunday (February 28), as German quartet — consisting of brothers Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz, along with Georg Listing
Gustav Schafer — filled the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Germany for a homecoming concert.
The group have managed to hone their sound profoundly, and the songs from Humanoid — especially the singles "Automatic" and "World Behind My Wall" — sounded like old favorites next to the rest of the young band's already deep catalog.
Plenty of people make a big deal out of the fashion choices of Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and Adam Lambert, but Bill Kaulitz's forward-thinking approach to rock and roll clothes is just as progressive. His outfit in Hamburg was especially fascinating,...

Tokio Hotel's Bill and Tom Kaulitz were just 2 months old when the Berlin Wall, which for decades had separated Germany into two separate political states, came tumbling down. Twenty years later, in the same city, they decided to pay tribute to that momentous event with their performance at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday (November 5).
Taking the stage silhouetted only by four spotlights, as their hometown fans screamed with delight, Tokio Hotel began the somber buildup of "World Behind My Wall," a track from their just-released Humanoid album. Backed by a video display that showed the symbolic dissolving of a brick wall, frontman Bill Kaulitz — wearing dark wraparound shades and a tight black leather jacket — sang the opening refrains,...

As we've already pointed out, behind all the makeup and beyond the millions of albums sold, Tokio Hotel are just your average bunch of twenty-something guys. Which means that a large portion of their time is spent discussing the finer points of super-sexy celebs like Megan Fox.
And Jessica Alba. And Beyoncé. And Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. And, well, you get the idea. Tokio Hotel love talking about the ladies (except for bassist Georg Listing, who makes it a point of saying he has a girlfriend).
"He's on the phone [with her], like, the whole day, he's Skyping. He's boring right now, because he has a girlfriend," frontman Bill Kaulitz laughed.
"He's boring! You can't go in the strip club with Georg!" guitarist Tom Kaulitz added.

Since blasting onto the international scene with their debut album, Schrei, Tokio Hotel have become just as famous for their style as they have for their songs ... perhaps even more so. Which is why, when they recently sat down with MTV News for an extended interview, we decided to take a trip with them, back through time and space and, of course, hairstyles.
Because while some things have remained the same throughout the years (namely drummer Gustav Schäfer and bassist Georg Listing), Tokio Hotel's two biggest fashion plates — frontman Bill Kaulitz and his brother, guitarist Tom — have undergone some rather drastic transformations.
Which is why we had them take a look at old photographs, taken at key moments in their band's career,...

Young and famous are the two things that U.S. band Jonas Brothers and German band Tokio Hotel have in common, aside from the various accolades they've won which earn them praise from their dedicated fans.
