Priyanka Chopra was seen last night at the prestigious Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles. In it’s 71st year, this year’s Golden Globes hosted an array of Hollywood superstars, but Priyanka held her own and dazzled on the red carpet.
Her first appearance was at the awards themselves. PC looked gorgeous in a Bibhu Mohapatra black and silver dress paired with pointy white shoes. The cut-out detailing worked perfectly for Priyanka’s curves and soft curls swept to one side of her head complemented the fall of the dress. Mickey Contracter worked his magic yet again with subtle eye make up but strong dark lips. Priyanka’s second appearance at the Golden Globe awards party was equally impressive. She paired a pink strapless Burberry dress with white pointy shoes (again). She accessorised this with a beautiful diamond and ruby necklace by Genevieve Jones and a beige fur jacket.

Kids. Such as Sex, Lies, and Videotape or Reservoir Dogs before it, and such as Winter’s Bone, Blue Valentine and Fruitvale Station after it, Larry Clark & Harmony Korine’s seminal film is forever connected in “spirit” to the lieu where it received its secret midnight premiere screening in 1995. The Sundance Film Festival might be known as the birthplace of U.S indie filmmaking innovation, avant-gardism, a larger definition of the low budgeted film response to Hollywood in not only narrative but in the non-fiction form, but it is a festival made strong by its renewal and familiarity. That close acquaintanceness exists in Kids‘ starlets Rosario Dawson and Chloë Sevigny filmography/career path trajectory and connection to Park City (both have several indie films slated for ’14 – of which I’ve included in our predictions list) and it is that “familiarity” that is visibly noticeable in how I map out my annual predictions list.

Fabiola Beracasa, Tory Burch, and Olya Thompson. From PatrickMcMullan.com. Carlos Mota.An eclectic and stylish crowd turned out for the launch of Carlos Mota’s book Flowers Chic & Cheap at New York City’s Mercer Hotel last night. Fellow Venezuelan Fabiola Beracasa wore a Mota-designed silk headband of large pink and deep-purple blossoms, which she said she would be sporting all summer. Jewelry designer Genevieve Jones remembered that when she worked for Mota, he taught her how to create a perfect arrangement. “He’s just one of those people who can throw all kinds of flowers together and make it look fabulous.” Zani Gugelmann, another fan, said of her friend of 10 years, “He lives completely in the moment, and everyone loves him. He’s like Studio 54.” Editor-at-large for Elle Decor, Mota writes in the book about creating incredible arrangements out of everyday flowers—“even those heeeedious bouquets bought from a corner deli!

Dancing With The Stars did Kelly Osbourne right. Photograph by PatrickMcMullan.com Alice + Olivia is known for their pretty party dresses, so it's no wonder they really know how to party. Last night the label took over the Gansevoort Hotel’s club, Provocateur, for its Fall 2010 presentation. As models stood elevated above the crowd, fans Ke$ha, Mena Suvari, Maggie Rizer, Genevieve Jones, Melissa Joan Hart, Keke Palmer, Leigh Lezark, Tinsley Mortimer, and Kelly Rutherford packed into the space to view the autumn offerings and enjoy a live performance from rapper Mickey Avalon. “It’s one of my favorite lines,” gushed Kelly Osbourne. “I like wearing baby-doll dresses, but a lot of the time they make you look like What Ever Happened to Baby Jane," she said. "You look nuts! A 25-year-old can’t dress like a 12-year-old. What’s great about Alice + Olivia is that they get that and...

Terence Koh and Daphne Guinness. Photograph by Todd Eberle. Tuesday night saw another party at the top of New York City's Standard Hotel, with another celebration for the DVD release of Vanity Fair special correspondent Matt Tyrnauer's documentary about fashion designer Valentino Garavani. As usual, the stars flocked to pay tribute to one of the gods of the red carpet, with heavyweights such as Madonna, Hugh Jackman, and Adrien Brody stopping by. Of course, no party would be complete without a slew of Pretty Young Things, and they turned out in force, with Mischa Barton, Byrdie Bell, Genevieve Jones, and Harley Viera-Newton leading the charge. Madonna's boy toy, Jesus Luz, took to the decks to play the spot's signature loud techno, and gallerists Larry Gagosian and Mary Boone mingled, admiring the view. Designer Thakoon Panichgul stepped into the smoking nook with some trepidation. "This seems like the Amazing Race,...
