Netflix announced that Season 2 of “Gentefied” will premiere on Nov. 10.
The American Ferrera-produced Latinx dramedy series follows three cousins who unite to keep their grandfather’s popular taco shop open amid rising gentrification in their Boyle Heights neighborhood.
Starring Joaquín Cosío, J.J. Soria, Karrie Martin Lachney and Carlos Santos, Season 2 will see the Morales cousins fight to help their Pop stay in the country, all while dealing with new love, new babies and estranged fathers.
In addition to Ferrera, “Gentefied” is executive produced by Marvin Lemus, Linda Yvette Chávez, Charles D. King, Marta Fernandez of MacRo, Ferrera of Take Fountain, Aaliyah Williams, Kim Roth and Teri Weinberg of Yellow Brick Road.

Netflix has picked up Sneakerheads, a six-episode comedy series starring Allen Maldonado and Andrew Bachelor (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before), from creator Jay Longino and Complex Networks. The Netflix original series is set to premiere September 25.

TruTV has given a 20-episode series order to Hot Ones: The Game Show, based on Complex Networks’ hugely popular web talk series, with Sean Evans as host. Additionally, the network has licensed episodes of the original digital series, created and produced by Complex Networks’ First We Feast. The series, featuring A-list celebrities became a phenomenon with more than a billion views over its 10 seasons. Hot Ones: The Game Show, produced by Diga Studios, goes into production later this fall with a premiere date planned for early next year.

ITV Studios America has pacted with Justin Killion in a non-scripted overall and first-look scripted deal to create, develop and exec produce television programming for the production entity. The move was announced today by Bruce Robertson, Svp Creative Strategy of ITV Studios America. Killion will be working directly with development exec Tim Urian. Killion comes to ITV Studios America from Original Productions where he served as Svp Development. During his tenure there he created, developed and sold hundreds of hours of non-scripted TV to multiple networks, including the Storage Wars franchise, and set up more than a dozen scripted projects. He was previously a literary manager at Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.
