Starz has acquired a slew of comedy series, specials and films that launched on Seeso, the NBCUniversal-owned Svod service that shuttered last year.
Among the series in the deal are Take My Wife, Night Train with Wyatt Cenac and The Ucb Show. It also includes stand-up specials from the Sklar Brothers, Brian Posehn and Lachlan Patterson, along with The Pistol Shrimps, the documentary about a group of showbiz folks including Aubrey Plaza who play in a women’s recreational basketball league in L.A.
“We are excited to address the uncertain fate of several Seeso series, including the beloved Take My Wife series, by providing a new home for these programs and their fans at Starz,” said C. Brett Marottoli, Head of Program Acquisitions for Starz. “These comedies align strategically with many Starz Original series and will appeal to our audiences as we continue featuring more diverse casts and storylines across the Starz platforms.

Margaret Cho has reportedly been living in a sober-living facility for five months post-rehab.
The comedian revealed the news during a show at the Comedy Store in Hollywood on Nov. 3, reports The Hollywood Reporter. According to a tweet by the comedy club, Cho did perform that evening, though a rep for Cho has not yet responded to People’s requested for comment.
“I bring the real me and my truth to my work,” Cho, 47, reportedly said. “It’s not perfect, it’s not manufactured, it’s real.”

Well gang, we've arrived. Tonight is the two-hour finale of Last Comic Standing, where the winner of this televised shindig will be announced. I'll admit, I'm still pretty salty over Joe Machi being eliminated last week, but hopefully that won't tarnish my enjoyment tonight.
The narrator discusses our top three comedians in a hilarious way. Rod Man, Lachlan Patterson, and Nikki Carr are introduced wearing superhero capes and masks, soaring high on laughs and pressure. But first, remember how we started with 100 contestants and had a bunch of mentors? I'm sure priceless memories from the season will serve as great filler tonight.
Jb dances on stage like a robot, while stating that the word of the day is "finale!" Since this is the finale, the judges are introduced on stage. Keenen Ivory Wayans, Russell Peters, and Roseanne make their way into the audience to slap hands with audience members and give out hugs.

Oh my gosh, are we at the final four already? Was there some kind of elimination I totally missed? You guys got a recap last week, right? It's really true -- we're looking at our final four contestants, one who'll eventually receive the glorious title of Last Comic Standing.
We start the show with a few sweaty confessionals from our comedians: Lachlan Patterson, Nikki Carr, Joe Machi, and Rod Man. Not only will this episode be a competition for who gets the most laughs, but it'll be the episode that'll put three of our comics in the series finale next week.

Oh my gosh, you guys. The moment is finally here. It's the Ellen episode of Last Comic Standing, and they've been promoting this episode for what feels like 5 months.
When we last left our comics, they were recuperating from their first challenge -- sketch comedy. Only eight comedians are left: Rod Man, Rocky Laporte, Karlous Miller, Lachlan Patterson, Nikki Carr, DC Benny, Monroe Martin, and Joe Machi. The finalists will be mentored by Wanda Sykes this episode, and judged by Ellen --as well as Ellen's audience. And you know the audience over at The Ellen DeGeneres Show is just vicious.
The second challenge will be called "Who's Ready For The Big Time?" and Jb Smoove breaks the news that the comedians will be working with Ellen. "For those of you who don't know, a pre-interview is a process you have to go through with one of the producers of the show,...

Tonight marks a very special night for Last Comic Standing -- it's the first time that you, the viewer, can vote on which eliminated contestant will get to perform during the finale. It's the best thing a viewer can do to feel like they made some kind of impact on the eventual outcome of this show. Embrace the power!
Previously on the show, five comics emerged from the pack to enter the exclusive top ten. Fourteen comics will be performing tonight, with the comedic guidance of Wanda Sykes.
Jb Smoove prances down the steps onto the stage, before introducing the judges: Keenen Ivory Wayans, Russell Peters, and the jewel-encrusted Roseanne.
Up first is dog-walker Lachlan Patterson, who is super excited to work with Wanda. Wanda notes how he sucks at segues and transitions, which Lachlan agrees with whole-heartedly.

One of the reasons I've really enjoyed Legit has been that despite the characters' mishaps and flaws there has still been an endearing quality about them. More so, the situations themselves have been pretty basic but relatable enough from losing weight to taking an airplane trip to becoming a role model.
While this particular episode did make me chuckle a few times, it really turned into an over-the-top adventure that stepped further away from the exaggerated reality it does so well in.
I really wish we got some more scenes with Jim's comedian pals Brad Williams and Lachlan Patterson. They had such short screen time, but already from their quick interactions and party participation, I was eager to see what else they could get involved in. I hope that they come back again.
Instead, the episode switched gears letting Jim hook up with famous and attractive Jenny from the show "Hey La!
