Chicago – One way to craft an unforgettable, undeniably adept film is to make a new one. Hollywood views that as financially risky, though, and it often doesn’t happen without being based on a book with a built-in audience or a film that’s already an international box-office success.
Rating: 2.5/5.0

Director: Jeremiah Jones Writer: Jeremiah Jones Starring: Christopher Denham, Connor Hill, Michael Mosley, Marianna Palka, Ivan Sandomire To be perfectly honest, I might have to watch Restive a few more times before I can adequately comprehend what the heck is going on. But here I am, shortly after my first viewing of the film, attempting to hobble together a coherent review about a film that was so beautifully incoherent to me. I will start with the puzzle pieces that I do understand. Jeva (Marianna Palka) is stuck in a menacingly terrifying relationship with Lott (Christopher Denham). Together, they have a young son, Hopper (Connor Hill)...and daughter too? Lott has reason to think Jeva has betrayed him. Soon, Jeva and Hopper find themselves running through the woods being chased by two of Lott's hoodlum buddies, Braker (Michael Mosley) and Roo (Ivan Sandomire). Everything else is either too much of a...

Previously titled Carjacked, Jacked has a menacing new film poster, which shows Stephen Dorff as Roy, menacing actress Maria Bello (Lorraine) and her young son (Connor Hill).
Actor Stephen Dorff has shown a resurgence in his career with dramatic central roles in Felon (2008) and Sofia Coppola's Somewhere (2010). Jacked looks like a continuation of this streak. In the picture, Dorff plays Roy a man on the run from a recent robbery and he uses his ex-wife and son to get over the Mexican border. But, the tagline reminds viewers that "vengeance is hers!" Enjoy an update on one of the more exciting thrillers to come out in 2011. An updated synopsis and release date are below.
The synopsis for Jacked is here:
"Lorraine is a working single mom with an abusive ex-husband who, even after separation, continuously creates problems for her and her 8-year-old son, Chad. On a seemingly normal evening,...
